According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.3 square miles (0.7 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 248 people, 126 households, and 72 families residing in the city. The population density was 930.0 people per square mile (354.6/km²). There were 152 housing units at an average density of 570.0/sq mi (217.4/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 96.37% White, 1.21% African American, 1.61% Native American, and 0.81% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.40% of the population.
There were 126 households out of which 23.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.6% were married couples living together, 7.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 42.1% were non-families. 41.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 20.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
