City DescriptionMullinville is a city in Kiowa County, Kansas, United States. The population was 279 at the 2000 census.
Mullinville is located at 37°35′12″N 99°28′35″W / 37.58667, -99.47639 (37.586706, -99.476387).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.6 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 279 people, 113 households, and 80 families residing in the city. The population density was 465.8 people per square mile (179.5/km²). There were 132 housing units at an average density of 220.4/sq mi (84.9/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 97.85% White, 1.43% Asian, and 0.72% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.43% of the population.
There were 113 households out of which 31.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.7% were married couples living together, 5.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.2% were non-families. 29.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 18.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.47 and the average family size was 3.04.
