Questions Possibly Related to Chase, Kansas

    Provided By Y! Answers

What CHASE driver needs to "step it up" @ Kansas?
    Question:
Who do you think needs to step it up the most @ Kansas this weekend to solidfy their chances @ winning, or staying a CHASE contender? Hello NasCarl#99! Hope you're havin' an awesome day. All is well here.. Hope the same goes for you! Technically, All the drivers are still "chasing" the cup... Stop being so uptight anyways dude. You knew what I meant. It's Friday, Lighten' Up!

    Answer:
The obvious one is Kurt Busch. He has been involved in a couple of incidents and will lose touch with the leaders if he has one more bad finish. It doesn't matter if it's his fault or not, he just needs to knock down some top 5s and get himself at least one win to stay in the hunt. Matt Kenseth is the other one even though his engine blowing wasn't anything he could control. With 2 extra drivers in the chase this year you might not get a mulligan and still come back to win the championship. Chances are at least one or two drivers will get through the whole chase without any really bad finishes.

Will Kansas Speedway bite the majority of the chase drivers like it did last year?
    Question:
There were seven or eight of them that had problems there last year. I know a lot of people think that track is dull, but it was a great race last year even with the long rain delay.

    Answer:
Hey, I will be there! It was a great race last year, though we definitely got wet! I'm trying to think which chasers all got caught up in stuff last year. Truex Jr., Burton, Stewart, Kyle Busch, Hamlin, Edwards, and Kahne I believe. With the COT though, you never know, it could be a follow the leader race. One thing about Kansas though, they can race anywhere on the track. We might see some passing since more than one groove works.

    Answer:
In Oklahoma cut it right down the middle and take probably the western half of the state in Kansas the eastern 2 thirds of the state.

Now that were in the chase, I feel that the whole entire race should?
    Question:
be raced, I don't care if it takes 2 days, if it rains they finish the race the next day, Or make sure all the chase races have lights, or something, This is the championship!!!!!, Today's race at Kansas was really really bogus!! Greg Biffle would have ran out of gas, (he did run out of gas) Jimmie Johnson had the car to beat! (would have probably pased Bowyer) , both Clint Bowyer and Jimmie Johnson are going for the championship. Don't you think Nascar really needs do some changes, because today's race was just ridulous!

    Answer:
Yeah that race was ridicules!! They need to change something? Definitely Clint Bowyer or Jimmie Johnson would of one!!!!!! GO 48!!!!! JIMMIE JOHNSON BACK2BACK!!!!!!

Im not saying add anymore races to the 36 they already have. Just put another track in the chase.(EX.Bristol or Watkins Glen)

    Answer:
Honor's all mine Mr. President and the amount of races should be the exact amount for Elliott to win it. lol Seriously, I think you bring up a good point that is should be more to allow more mulligans. Let's make it 12. Already thinking like a President! Hail to the Chief we have chos-en for NASCAR na - tion, Hail to the Chief! If you were the Nascar schedule maker, what race tracks would make up the final 10 races(The Chase)?
    Question:
Put down the tracks that you would(as schedule maker) make up the Chase. My opinion: The Chase! Race 1 Watkins Glen Race 2:Richmond Race 3: Dover Race 4:Talladega Race 5:Bristol Race 6:Texas Race 7:Indianapolis(The Brick Yard) Race 8: Kansas Race 9: Atlanta Race 10: Charlotte Motor Speedway

    Answer:
I would like to see different races in the chase every yr, or just rotate some races, especially to get Darlington and a Road Course in the Chase. I would finish the chase in Las Vegas, have the last race of the season there and then the banquet, that sure beats NYC..

No fourth quarter defense keeps Missouri out of national championship?
    Question:
Missouri was fortunate to beat Kansas last year because they had a big enough lead in the beginning. Oklahoma beat them because they had a much better defense. Missouri will be a contender with Chase Daniels and a great offense, but they won't win the BIG 12 championship because either Texas or Oklahoma will take em down. Also, I fear a high preseason ranking may put a lot of pressure on them. Only a few teams are able to play from the beginnning to hold on to their ranking.

    Answer:
The Sooners will win the Big 12 but lose in another BCS game.

Has anyone heard of the 70's Jazz band called "CHASE"?
    Question:
When I was in college in the 70's one of my favorite Jazz groups which featured a "stratopheric" trumpeter named "CHASE". ( like a Maynard Ferguson). What happened to them? The last I saw of them was at the Kansas city Jazz festival in 1971.

    Answer:
The story of this band is a rock tragedy: Bill Chase and the touring band were killed in a plane crash in 1974 while on the early stages of a tour to support their fourth album.

    Question:
We all know at the first Kansas race in 2001--Jeff Gordon scored a narrow victory over this current non-chase driver....do you know who? Gordon's sixth win of the year gave him a 222 point advantage over a different driver. Question 1---who finished 2nd in the race? Question 2---who was 2nd in points after Kansas in 2001?? Dig for it and you'll find it. Pretty easy question. Hope everyone enjoys today's race!!! Do you like my new ride?? I'm driving a pink car for the month of Oct--the VP asked me to--thought it was a great idea.

Ryan Newman finished 2nd Ricky Rudd was 2nd in standings and love the new ride

Does anybody else think Missouri is getting screwed by the ref's in the Kansas-Mizzou game tonight?
    Question:
Missouri has had unsportsmen like conduct called on a play when a Kansas player cleary did it first, a Mizzou player picked a pass off on his own 2 yard line and his momentum carried him into the endzone, and Mizzou had the ball at the two, and finally, while the ball that Chase Danial (Mizzou's quaterback) threw was feet away from a Mizzou reciever he got knocked out. And so far, Kansas still can't seem to start winning, even with the ref's help. It's 31-21 Mizzou and if the refs don't try to completly throw the game, Missouri should win.

    Answer:
It has nothing to do with the ref's it's called "discipline". The Jayhawks are a well disciplined team. They lead the nation in fewest penalties. Right now, they are just getting outplayed by the Tigers. Why didn't you mention the holding penalty on third down, the incomplete pass that would have been the fourth down, it led to the first down that led to their second touchdown. Oh that's right, you overlook the ones that help. Missouri is playing a better game, don't try to make excuses in case the improbable happens and KU manages to come back and win.

Is it possible to sell your house "By Owner" if you don't live in the same state as the house?
    Question:
Cut to the chase: our house is located in the Denver area. We now live in the Kansas City area. Our house has been for sale for eight months ... no nibbles. Is is possible to try to sell it ourselves?

    Answer:
Listen, I am a Realtor and a Loan Officer. I recently sold my parents home in Providence, RI where the market is very slow. I has it FSBO and got some showings. Then I put it on the market and received no calls at all for two months. I took it off the market and put the FSBO sign back out there. Then the phone started ringing again. E-Mail me at dtutt@fgint.net and let's come up with a plan to get your home sold. You can do it yourself. Trust me.

How Would You Rank These College Quarterbacks As Passers?
    Question:
John David Booty (USC) Colt Brennan (Hawaii) Brian Brohme (Louisville) Chase Daniels (Missouri) Dennis Dixon (Oregon) Graham Harrell (Texas Tech) Todd Reesing (Kansas) Tim Tebow (Florida) Pat White (West Virginia) Andre Woodson (Kentucky) What order would you put them in, in terms of their passing ability? Please comment on some--ideally all--of your rankings. I forgot to include ... Erik Ainge (Tennessee) Chad Henne (Michigan) Matt Ryan (Boston College)

    Answer:
    1) Chase Daniel - Wonderful mobilty and vision in the pocket. Great arm, can throw across the field aross his body. His heighth will be hard for him in the pro's. 2) Andre' Woodson - Back-to-back great years of 30+ TD's and under 10 INT's. Plays great in the SEC's tough defense's but needs to improve his completion percent. 3) Colt Brennan - Almost 60 TD's a year ago and has a great career completion percent of 70%. Lack of competition makes it difficult to determine how well he will do in the Pro's tho. 4) Brian Brohme - Got tore up by South Florida, but still a great QB. Should transfer well into the Pro's. Cap 30 passing TD's this year even with a poor team record. 5) Tim Tebow - He is the most outstanding player in the nation, but it is because of his running game. Deserves the Heisman, but not the O'Brein award. Should develop into a better QB with more time, but also since he is a runner may never get much better as a QB but instead as a RB. 6) Todd Reesing - Lack of competition hurts him. But like Daniel, small size. Pretty mobile and creates time in the pocket, but did not fare well against Kansas St. Maybe a sign that it's the defenses weak DB's is the reason for his success. Never-the-less, he still has 30 TD's and only 4 INT's. (3 to Kansas St.) 7) Dennis Dixon - We know him for his running game, not much of his arm. Only 20 TD's and his Junior year threw 2 more INT's than TD's. Will be out for the rest of the season and that will drop him in the NFL draft. 8) John David Booty - Hurt this year but had a great season one year ago. Lost the game with four INT's to Stanford. His completion percent is not impressive, just 62%. But however, he may do something in the Rose Bowl. 9) Graham Harrell - System QB. First decent defense, Mizzou picks him off four times, then the next week does the same thing against Colorado. Against OU he did not have an great game. Still his 45 TD's are nice to look at, but can Texas Tech even play power football? 10) Pat White - Wonderful runnner and has had a great college career to this point and will continue next year. But not a QB, he's the next Brad Smith, QB in college, WR in the Pro's.

    who here hates chase daniel?
    Question:
    he threw all over kansas!

    Answer:
CHASE DANIELS IS POSSIBLY THE BEST PURE QUARTERBACK IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL AND WILL GO TO NEW YORK BUT NOT WIN THE HIESMAN, BUT WITH NUMBERS CLOSE THIS YEARS NEXT YEAR, HE WILL GET IT

Who can read this and still call Smoke a crybaby?
    Question:
Hold the phone: Stewart says NASCAR did the right thing? MIKE HARRIS The Associated Press Nobody could blame two-time Cup champion Tony Stewart if he was upset after NASCAR waited out the rain last Sunday at Kansas Speedway, a decision that cost Stewart a win and eventually a lot of points in the Chase. Stewart, stretching his gas to the limit, was out front when heavy rains hit the speedway just past halfway in the race. If NASCAR had called it at that point, Stewart would have been the winner. Instead, officials waited more than two hours and eventually restarted the race. Stewart, who started the day just two points out of the lead, was involved in a crash, finished 39th and dropped to fourth – 117 points out. On his satellite radio show Tuesday night, he said NASCAR did the right thing. “You look at it from their standpoint,” he said. “If they call the race, we’re going to leave Kansas City with a 50- or 60-point lead and that could have been the difference between us stealing a championship away from somebody or not. “NASCAR, in my opinion, did exactly the right thing, did everything they could to get it in. "It’s the same thing we would have done at Eldora (the dirt track Stewart owns in Ohio). And the reason it was the right decision is let us settle it on the race track. Let us win the championship on the race track. "Don’t let weather be a determining factor in those last 10 races of who is going to win or not win the championship.” ----------------------------------------------------------- --------------------- Wow, nine minutes and three answers that prove people don't read!

    Answer:
I'm a Tony Stewart fan and have been since he came into the cup series. Even when he's been a hot head and traded paint with other drivers on purpose. I've been a fan even though he wasn't always the most popular driver out there. Tony is very much like Dale Earnhardt Sr. whether Earnhardt fans want to admit it or not. Tony has a short fuse and he is very much the intimidator in nascar today. I hope Tony gets his first Talladega win this weekend, and tells all the rednecks there to kiss his Home Depot azz when he climbs the fence.

Nascar ,didn't they change rules(guidelines) in Kansas ?3 times?
    Question:
Stopped race due to rain pass 1/2 way mark ..but they started it again knowing it would take an hour to dry and there would not be enough daylight to finish the race. Race should have been over due to the rain OR they should have waited until a time and day the race could be finished,It has happened how many times before ? I cheer for many drivers ,I felt very bad that so many of the chase drivers were in accidents and felt it was due to Nascar misjudgement .Maybe there needs to be a change in Nascar too.I think Greg Biffle was just so excited he just forgot to finish the race .The race should have been over at the call of rain or finished another day.It was a screwed up mess...

    Answer:
The way they handled the rain is actually the one consistent thing they did on Sunday. NSACAR has always tried to run as much of the race as possible on the day of the race. If that amount is half or more it’s a race if its not then they redo the whole thing. The key thing here is “as much of the race as possible”. Even in the earlier rain shortened event at Poconos they would have restarted a second time if they could have dried the track with enough daylight to run lap.

Red Sox Nation or Frontrunner Nation what is up with you?
    Question:
I'm at Chase Field in Pheonix with my family this past Fri, Sat, Sun, and all I hear are abnoctious, intoxicated Red Sox fans fighting, bragging, chanting "Yankees suck" at CHASE FIELD. People in Red Sox jersees were arguing over who'd been to Fenway the most times. I'm a loyal royals fan, am not ashamed to admit it but I was raised in Carver, Ma and Bristol RI. I never noticed all this Red Sox bravado in all my time living up there-because there was none!!!!. Guys You have won exactly the same number of World Series rings as YES the Kansas City Royals since 1985, ooops since 1918. And guess what, my team is struggling now and I'm still a loyal fan. What a foriegn concept to a Red Sox Johhny-come-lately! Why do people think that it is owah-some to be a sowaacks fan? I actually root for the Yankees sometimes now not because I like them but because Red Sox fans are so full of themselves over ONE ring! Would you all please get a grip and return to your seats and your original loyalties!

    Answer:
THANK YOU! I am a loyal Red Sox fan, but now am almost embarrassed to be one because of things just like this! I think it's awesome you are a Royals fan! You're the definition of a true friend=sticking with your team, even if they aren't that good.
