Bluff City is located at 37°4′32″N 97°52′31″W / 37.07556, -97.87528 (37.075671, -97.875376).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1.4 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 80 people, 32 households, and 23 families residing in the city. The population density was 147.6 people per square mile (57.2/km²). There were 48 housing units at an average density of 88.6/sq mi (34.3/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 100.00% White.
There were 32 households out of which 31.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.6% were married couples living together, and 28.1% were non-families. 21.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
