I've been searching for a place like this for years! This is truly the definition of a hidden gem. I grew up going to "Supper Clubs" in Wisconsin with my parents. The art of a true supper club is something that I thought had been lost in years gone by. A classy lounge with friendly bar-tenders, servers and classic drinks. Followed by a great dinner of classic American fare - steaks, chicken, seafood even prime rib (which I had, and was great!!! hardly any fat and very juicy - best cut I've had in years & cooked perfectly). Followed up by a trip to the lounge for an after dinner drink. If you appreciate the atmosphere of days gone by - (Not implying this place looks run down or old - it doesn't - it looks in its prime but has the feel of a classic 1970's & 80's supper club) honest service and great food - you owe it to yourself to make a trip to Tommy's. Granted I've only been there once now (about an hour ago), I plan on going back very soon. I honestly felt like I had gone back in time. Tommy's offers a truly unique and classic experience, lost amongst the chains and more recent establishments of the area. Tony Vogds

Mama-Sans was great! A nice little family owned joint. The service was awesome. My wife is not a big seafood/sushi fan, but the waitress had an uncanny intuition about what my wife would like. The hours are not that great, otherwise, I would eat there twice a day if they would open around the lunch hour. Call in some take-out and you are in and out before you know it!

As a Christmas present my best friend Ron took me here for lunch during the Thursday buffet. I must say not only was the food wonderful, but the buffet area was clean, the wait staff was courteous and it made for a wonderful afternoon of dinning. I enjoyed it very much.

Reba's is a place where you can get to gether with friends, and meet new ones. They have live music on some evenings. Their menu is small, but well worth it. If I had the money, I would eat lunch and dinner here a few times a week.

My family and I went to Shorty's last night for the first time. It was great. The service was was very fast and friendly. We ordered the big appetizer combo and it was huge, enough you could use it as your own meal. I ordered the steak filet and the steak was beyond perfect. Nice and juicy. My husband ordered the pulled pork and he loved it as well. The only bad thing forthe evening was his sides did not compare in taste to the rest of the meal. Leave room for dessert the Milky Way was Out of this World.

The food has been very good. The specials are unbeatalble. Wed. nite is burger nite and they are soooo good! I love the fries too. You won't go away hungry. They know how to feed the country boys! Two for one beer on Wed. is a bargain too. Mon. is Taco nite, Tue. is fried chicken. Thurs. is steak nite. Prime Rib on Fri. and Sat. and a nice menu to choose from. Chicken Fried Steaks are good. The service has been exceptional lately. It is a nice clean place. Decorated county/western with a cattle shute and stalls as booths.

I actually went to the one on Rock...but anyway...I loved it. I like that the guy knew that we had never been there before and explained everything to us. The ice cream was great. I love that you can choose from the menu or make up an ice cream (creation) that fits how you are feeling them. The price was a little high, but it was well worth the price.

Thai House has the very best Thai food in Wichita. Everything they make is fresh, authentic and delicious. The eggrolls are the best I have eaten. I love the coconut chicken soup, and the pad thai is made just the way it is suppose to be. It is a small place with many loyal customers - it is hard to get a seat during peak hours so call ins are a good idea.

We love to eat at Cortez on Saturdays at the best all you can eat mexican buffet in Wichita KS. There's something for everyone: traditional mexican fare such as chicken mole, roast pork verde and menudo; tex mex favorites like build your own fajitas, tostados and tacos; as well as some rotating surprises like fried chicken, spaghetti, and chicken fetticini alfredo. Don't let the location fool you (west of Broadway on 29th street north), the restaurant is clean and family friendly. Rumor has it that they will begin Salsa lessons and dancing on Saturday nights...I can't wait!

Kilroys is great. Everytime I'm back home we're sure to eat there. In a small town like Sedgwick little mom and pop restaurants tend to come and go but Kilroys is a staple. They're still around because they get it right. Fantastic pizza, good burgers, great subs and friendly folks to boot. If you've never been you should know that its mostly a take-out joint but there is also a small dining room that you can always feel comfortable in. The pizza is always a sure bet. Its as good or better than any of the big pizza chains. The burgers are typical diner burgers, nothing special but delicious nonetheless. On the other hand the sub sandwiches are a real treat. Personally I go for the Italian sub but they're all tasty. Kilroys is worth a trip from Newton, Bently, Halstead or Valley Center but mostly its here for the hometown folks. Sedgwick isn't exactly a vast metropolis but you'll find everything you need from a hometown pizza joint in Kilroys. The only drawback might be that they keep typical small town hours - no late night pizza from Kilroys.

A bit of a sandwich enthusiast, I have been on a quest for the perfect club ... Although not quite "perfect", Old Chicago's variation is certainly one of the best. The pasta is top notch, the pizza's superb. This sports bar/resteraunt is perfect for dining or just catching your favorite team get pounded mercilessly (if your a Chief's fan that is ...) If you stop by the north west location, tell "Special J" that Brian sent ya ... :)

Defazios has always been a favorite. Since Angelo's closed, it's the only place to get an Italian salad with pickeled eggplant. We love to go for a lunch lasagna and salad. I miss Angelo's...it was just a few blocks from us. We gladly make the trip to Defazios. Their pizza can't be beat! If only...if only it was closer...(me hoping that is what is going to the old building...hint hint!)
