This place is a classic case of "don't judge a book by its cover!" They have awesome food, a very friendly staff and you CANNOT beat the entertainment of the DJs Friday and Saturday nights after 10. Great food, good drinks, fun friendly people, what else could you want? Anyone in or around Gardner should head down to the Weed for some weekend food, dancing, and general fun. Go for the food and stay for the karaoke!

Brother's bar downtown lawrence is that anything exciting beer and pub extravaganza, it's really fine pub with a developing social clicks that are open socially everyone there are easy to talk to- and develop beer pals and gals. to meet some one easy bring a glow stick with you.

By far the best BBQ I've had. Went there EVERY DAY for lunch M-F for their BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger. Be careful, it's addicting. If you like spicy food, try some of their hot bbq sauce. Can't get enough of it!!!

This is the best reasonable priced place in town! they use local ingredients when possible.The owner grows lots of tomatoes for instance.Thank god they only have one TV,lol.Go on Monday for beer specials.They have food specials everyday.Nationally famous portabella sandwich,many vegetarian options,steak,you name it,they probably make it at least once in a while.Best beer outside of Boulder in the midwest!

Wow. What else is there to say? OK...plenty: I've lived in Lawrence for 10 years and had no idea this place existed. I've sure missed out on a a lot. Best restaurant in Kansas and beats out other places in L.A. and New York, even. We had the Teriyaki Quail & the Mahi-Mahi Teriyaki and both fit our tastes exactly and excelled. The Rangoon de Saumon was incredible as were the Salmon Crunch Rolls. Excellent food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. We'll be going back a few times per month (including the occasional "business lunch") for sure. Duke rocks!

I have tried Tanners four times now, and every time that I go there the service is horrible and the food is just okay. Today, when we went, our server only had three tables and she couldn't even keep our drinks full. I had to go to the bar, then fill my own drink. I think the management and owners need to step back and take a good look at why they aren't making any money.

You have to try the Hot "Mangino" sandwich with a cold Fat Tire. Your taste buds will party like it's 1999. The atmosphere is true college fair with a friendly service. I have heard good things about their bread bowls - nice on a cold day.

I have always enjoyed Pipeline shows at the bottleneck! I seen my first up close and personal heavy show there when I was 18 or 19. I think it was Cannibal corpse,Brutal Truth and Immolation. I was used to shows in KC where the musicians seemed untouchable or like movie stars. I never thought you could go up and talk to them without a special pass but at the bottleneck you can literally drink a beer with the guitar player or singer after the show. The Bottleneck keeps it real and down to earth! I love this place! The bottleneck also is well known for open mic...I have seen alot of killer bands there for free just by going on monday night for a beer!
