CupO has been around for over 5 years hard to believe its been that long. Great local South Side Business that serves the community. Unfortunately the evil that is Starbucks decided that CupO was doing so well that they built a location right up the street. GET OUT OF YOUR CAR AND GO INTO TO THE COFFEE STORE! The Lazy factor has come into play and people are skipping over the locally owned and operated coffee store for the cooperate drive thru.. If you go into CupO youll have a good time meet new people and pick up some great comics. If its not in stock or not out yet Matt will order comics and anything he can for his customers. It???s also one of the few places on the South Side you can just go in and hang out.

This is a VERY nice modern-looking coffeehouse located just northwest of the Polk County Courthouse (6th Av at Mulberry) and is the friendliest of all the coffeehouses Ive ever been to in Des Moines (but Im not saying that the other Starbucks and etc. were bad). They arent a chain (owned by Kum & Go Convenience Stores) and have a location in Urbandale Grimes and of course right here in Des Moines. Theres a convenient Drive-Thru if youre in a hurry (WATCH FOR TRAFFIC THOUGH!) Whether its to hang with friends or have a quick cup of coffee before your business meeting or to check your stocks or watch the game...yes they have an HDTV set and FREE yes FREE Wifi (*cough* unlike Starbucks). The music isnt too loud the TV is silent and theres even a fireplace! If youre in the area you MUST check this near perfect downtown coffee bar! They also have wine tasting and baked goods! If they had free parking nearby (which they cant control)...this would be my ultimate utopia!

MMM MMM GOOD! They have a large selection of donuts (you have to get there early) and they are the BEST! Ive been going there for 40 years and have never tasted a better donut than theirs. I think they are better than Krispie Kreme donuts. When I bring their donuts to work people really LOVE them and always ask where they are from. My friend just recently ordered a 50th Wedding Anniv cake with a picture of her parents on it and the picture was perfect and the cake tasted awesome!

Went to Firestone for brake trouble and they told me it would be 560 dollars to fix it so I drove here which is 3 blocks away and got them fixed for 160 with no problem and right away. As for english speaking I had no problem understanding them or being understood the name is Gomez tire so gosh I knew they may be hispanic.

We are not only happy with the tattoos we were given we will make sure to go back to this place again for future work. The guys were nice funny and comfortable to be around. Rick did my tattoos and did them with a light hand! There was no discomfort and looked excellent once they were done. Lucky did my husbands tattoo and looks better than the picture we took in. If youre looking for a new tat definitely check these guys out. They were great.

When I went there there were 4 employees and no-one in the store. None of them appeared to be doing anything apart from conversing with each other. It seemed that we were a burden to them. I ordered the Bulldog on and Jalapeno bagel. The bagel was a bit stale and contained approximately 1 jalapeno. All of the tables were dirty the floor was unclean and the carpet was covered in large chunks of dirt and food.

If you think you had a horrible Tenderloin at Smitty then Im not quite sure what you think a Great Tenderloin is. I have been frequenting Smittys since I was a little girl and I have NEVER had bad service or a bad tenderloin. You should have went to Hardees you apparently enjoy the hair that is more then often found in their food. In my opinion Smittys is one of the only decent restaurants on the south side any more and I am sad to see someone give such a nasty review when they have only dined there 1 time. My thought is give it another shot and stay away from Hardees.

The Sage Tree is one of the best hair salons in Des Moines. While the price is higher than that of a Great-Clips the style you get would be worth a couple hundred dollars anywhere else. The decor isnt the greatest but for a Skywalk business its not too bad. The stylists are all very friendly and knowledgeable about current trends and styles. Barbie Sundet is my stylist and she is killer at what she does. Expect the cuts to run anywhere from 30 to 50 bucks. Dont forget to stock up on the yummy Aveda hair supplies.
