City DescriptionParagon is a town in Ray Township, Morgan County, Indiana, United States. The population was 663 at the 2000 census.
Paragon is located at 39°23′42″N 86°33′42″W / 39.395, -86.56167 (39.394901, -86.561797).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.6 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 663 people, 237 households, and 176 families residing in the town. The population density was 2,640.8 people per square mile (1,023.9/km²). There were 275 housing units at an average density of 1,095.4/sq mi (424.7/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 99.70% White, 0.15% from other races, and 0.15% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.60% of the population.
There were 237 households out of which 39.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.4% were married couples living together, 6.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.7% were non-families. 18.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.80 and the average family size was 3.18.
