Lego Indiana Jones Video Game Question?
    Question:
I was in the treasure room of the college earlier today, and, after putting the crystal onto the podium in the center of the room, my heads-up-display said 4,000,000,000 studs. It was correct. I can go to the store and buy it, and the stud value goes down, and never above 4 billion. It's just crazy, because I was walking then at some point the game glitched me from 18,000 studs to 4 billion! Does this ever happen? Is it something to be worried about, or should I be shouting for joy? I'm never going to use 4,000,000,000 studs in the life of the game....

    Answer:

Please read....Bought a used car in Indiana today...Can I get out of used car agreement?
    Question:
After I signed the agreement(which came with a 3 month/3000 mile warranty) to have repairs done by their service dept. I saw the check engine light was on. The used car salesman told me it is probably just a loose gas cap and that is common. I took it to their service center and the guy got the light off and I drove away....5 miles down the road though the light came back on. So I drove back over there and that is when they said they will order a new intake valve gasket cover. Then I get on the expressway and the car kind of jerks forward when I am driving like it is getting small squirks of extra gas. In addition, at the signing I pointed out to the guy that the odometer reading paper that he made me sign was wrong. I realize now that was dumb because he printed out a new one that I did sign although on the Bill of Sale he just crossed it off and wrote next to it the right mileage. I have a strange feeling I was sold a bad vehicle that came from Minnesota....Any thoughts how to get out of agreement...I bought this car with no money down and have it financed through a bank. Tomorrow I am taking it to an independent auto mechanic...What should I do??????

    Answer:
Lemon laws would not apply here. Even in states (and very few cover used vehicles) that have lemon laws in place, there are strict guidelines in place. Also, there is no "3-day, 30-day, 72-hr, etc." return period policy on vehicle purchases. Once you sign papers and drive off, it's yours. You can calmly try and work something out with the dealer, but legally they do not have to take the car back. If it did come with a 30-day, 3,000 mile warranty, you can keep using it to get this issue fixed. Not to lecture, but always have any used car checked out by a good mechanic. If the seller refuses to let you do so, then refuse to proceed further with the sale. **EDIT** -- The Better Business Bureau is not a good threat. They are not an organization that can force any business to do anything. You can file a complaint with them, but that's as far as it will go. They will present the complaint to the dealer, who can dispute it, and the BBB will then leave it alone. Also, the number of complaints filed against a company have nothing to do with their membership in the BBB. They can have tons of complaints, have an "unsatisfactory" rating, and still have that BBB sticker in the window.

Are you proud of the KKK and similar groups that are now anti immigration? Or do you run and hide?
    Question:
like a coward under white sheet trying to be secretive. CHRISTIAN SCIENCE MONITOR Feb. 9, 2007, n.p. © Copyright 2007, THE CHRISTIAN SCIENCE MONITOR. All rights reserved. Anti-Immigrant Sentiments Fuel Ku Klux Klan Resurgence By Brad Knickerbocker Staff writer of The Christian Science Monitor • Long stuck in splintered obscurity, the group is seeing an increase in activity and a return to its nativist origins. The Ku Klux Klan appears to be on the rise again after years of irrelevance and splintered obscurity. "Due to the successful exploitation of hot-button issues," the Klan has seen "a surprising and troubling resurgence," states a new report by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). Gay marriage and urban crime are part of the picture. But, in particular, it is the debate over what to do about the nation's nearly 35 million immigrants, of whom about 11 million are in the US illegally, that has become the Klan's main recruiting tool. "If any one single issue or trend can be credited with reenergizing the Klan, it is the debate over immigration in America," says Deborah Lauter, the ADL's civil rights director. "New groups [are] sprouting in parts of the country that have not seen much activity." In addition to the South, where the Ku Klux Klan was founded by Confederate Civil War veterans in 1866, this now includes active or growing Klan chapters in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, Nebraska, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. There is no centralized organization, and membership numbers are estimates at best--5,000 to 8,000 in as many as 179 Klan groups, according to the ADL, a group that fights bigotry, especially anti-Semitism, and the Southern Poverty Law Center, a civil rights law firm and education center. But it is the increase in activity, including rallies, recruitment drives, and distribution of racist literature, and the partnering with skinheads, neo-Nazis, and other kinds of hate groups, that civil rights groups find troubling. As it did from its founding, the KKK views itself as having a religious dimension. Members see "lighting" a cross as a symbol of faith. Today, Christian Evangelicals are much more likely than mainstream Protestants or Roman Catholics to believe that "newcomers threaten traditional American customs and values," according to the Pew Research Center. It is this trend in attitudes that the Klan hopes to use in recruiting new supporters among those opposed to US immigration policies and practices, according to Klan leaders and expert observers. In a way, it's a reversion to the Klan's nativist origins. "While we generally think of it as a white supremacist organization, the Klan at its peak was virulently anti-immigrant, particularly with regard to Catholic immigrants, Irish, and southern European," says Brian Levin, director of the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism at California State University, San Bernardino. That was in the 1920s, when the Klan numbered about 4.5 million. The KKK had dropped to an estimated 60,000 members during the civil rights era (1954-65) and had bottomed out at fewer than 2,000 members by the mid-1970s, says Mr. Levin, a civil rights attorney who teaches criminal justice. Levin notes that any rise in KKK activity and membership today comes off a near-historic low, and "some of the chapters are rather slim pickings." "I'm more worried about the exploitation of the immigration issue generally than I am about the Klan exploiting it," says Levin. "I think the Klan is going to hit a ceiling because of the negative symbolism, the negative baggage." But, he adds, "The whole nature of hate group membership has changed with the advent of the Internet. You can take bits and pieces from whatever group you like without necessarily becoming a card-carrying member." Although some KKK adherents still don robes and pointed hoods to hold rallies and burn crosses, younger followers are more likely to look like skinheads or neo-Nazis, decorated with racist tattoos and listening to white power rock bands such as Skrewdriver and Brutal Attack. During the first half of this decade the number of hate groups in the US increased 33 percent to 803, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center. The Ku Klux Klan was an important part of that increase.

    Answer:
In a nation of 300 million people only 5000 knuckleheads are members of the KKK, there are other racist groups with real frightening numbers and tax funding that you should pay attention to also. People see the KKK for what it is..... pathetic, racist, small minded, hate - the initials KKK are synonymous with hate and everybody knows their agenda, nothing subtle about this group. They are small and pitiful and not welcome in any town in the United States for their marches. All racist groups should be exposed and dismantled (All).

    Is this trade good?

New York gets rid of Eddy Curry, Indiana gets rid of Jamaal Tinsley, and Miami moves Haslem. Miami needs a center (Eddy currY) and a point guard (tinsley) New York gets Marion who is reunited with D'Antoni and really knows the run 'n gun offense. Juvenile on house arrest with divorced parents - can he move to his father's house if he was released to mom?
    Question:
My brother was put on house arrest when they released him from the juvenile center. My dad was at work so my mother went and they released him to her. The problem is, he doesn't want to live with his mother. She is no good, and it is probably her poor parenting that led him to the behavior that got him into jail in the first place. She smokes weed and is always drunk, steals, ect. Anyways that's not the point. This morning at 9AM Indiana time he went in to get his ankle bracelet. Now he has to stay at his mothers and he doesn't want to. What can be done, if anything, to get his house arrest terms moved to his father's house? Also I told him to mention his mother's bad habits when he told them he wanted to live with his father, but he is afraid they will say that if the home is unfit he will have to go back to the juvenile center.

    Answer:
At the detention hearing, did he explain that he lived with dad? (Or was it an agreed detention order?) Even if he had testified that he lived with dad, he was probably released to mom since she was the one who appeared at the hearing with him. (Dad should have taken off work.) He needs to contact Community Corrections to see about getting his electronic monitoring moved to dad's house. If dad doesn't live in the same county, it probably won't happen. If dad does live in the same county, has custody, and the probation officer as well as the home detention officer agrees, it is possible he could be moved to dad's house. He might have to pay a second hook-up charge, as well as the daily fee. In my county, hook-up is $100, and the daily fee is $8. If he stays at mom's, a home detention officer will make periodic visits and searches. If mom has alcohol and drugs in the house, your brother will be moved from her house. He might go to dad's, or he might go back to the detention center.

Is it time to start real profiling?
    Question:
To ensure we Americans never offend anyone -- particularly fanatics intent on killing us -- law enforcement and security screeners are not allowed to "profile" people in public places or security checkpoints. However, they will continue to perform random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, Secret Service agents who are members of the President's security detail, 85-year-old congressmen with metal hips and even Medal of Honor recipients. President George Bush said this week, "America is at war with Islamic fascists who will use any means to destroy those of us who love freedom, to hurt our nation." The Council on American-Islamic Relations issued an immediate objection to the President's reference to "Islamic fascists". Nihad Awad, executive director of CAIR protested, "We have to isolate these individuals because there is nothing in the Koran or the Islamic faith that encourages people to be cruel or to be vicious or to be criminal. Muslims world wide know that for sure." In light of this objection, we are left to ponder why every Islamic leader in the U.S., and the world, does not publicly condemn every terror action being undertaken in the name of the god of Islam. Their silence is deafening... Between 1970 and present, there were more than 60 other notable examples of terrorism perpetrated by Middle Eastern male Islamists between the ages 17 and 40, but we think you get the point. Singling out "Middle Eastern male Islamists between the ages 17 and 40" is not "ethnic profiling," it's "terrorist profiling" -- acting on prolific evidence. Anyone for Terrorist Profiling?

    Answer:
Yes Very very good. Exactly we are at "WAR" with Islamo Fascists, They are and look like "ARABS". When will this insanity end. Profiling has it's place. This is where it belongs. If it looks like a terrorist, and smells like a terrorist, well by God, the chances are he might be a terrorist. Not one of the Bombings have been carried out by a little ol lady from Cincinnati.

    Knicks vs Pacers rivialry?
    Question:
where does this rivalry rank all time During the 1990s, both the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers were perennial playoff teams. The Knicks, led by All-Star center Patrick Ewing, met with the Reggie Miller-led Pacers in the playoffs six times from 1993 to 2000, fueling a rivalry epitomized by the enmity between Miller and prominent Knicks fan Spike Lee. The bitter rivalry was likened by Miller to the Hatfield-McCoy feud[1], and described by The New York Times, in 1998 as being "as combustible as any in the league". The rivalry has given Miller the nickname "The Knick Killer".Miller's clutch performances were frequently followed by jabs at Lee, adding fuel to the greater team rivalry. 1993 NBA Playoffs First Round: First Meeting The two teams first met in post season play in the first round of the 1993 NBA Playoffs. The Knicks, led by Ewing, Charles Oakley, John Starks, Doc Rivers, and Coach of the Year Pat Riley had amassed a 60-22 record-the best in the Eastern Conference-and earned the top seed in the East.[5] The Pacers, with Miller, the "Dunkin' Dutchman" Rik Smits, versatile Detlef Schrempf, and Dale Davis barely squeaked into the playoffs with a 41-41 record, thanks to the tiebreaker over the Orlando Magic.[6] The Knicks won the first two games at Madison Square Garden before the Pacers won the first of two contests at Market Square Arena. The Knicks, however, took Game 4 and advanced to defeat the Charlotte Hornets before bowing out to the Michael Jordan-led Chicago Bulls. (The playoff format had a best-of-five first round until 2003.) The Pacers would fire their head coach Bob Hill and hire the nomadic but legendary Larry Brown. [edit] 1994 Eastern Conference Finals: Miller Time The Pacers would get their first chance of revenge against the Knicks the following year in the 1994 Eastern Conference Finals. Brown had Schrempf traded for Derrick McKey and also added rookie forward Antonio Davis, veteran Byron Scott, and journeyman point guard Haywoode Workman. They finished with a record of 47-35 and the fifth seed in the East, winning the final eight games of the regular season. They swept Orlando and upset the top-seeded Atlanta Hawks, winning in six games.[7] Meanwhile, the Knicks, following Jordan's first retirement, were heavily favored to win the East. Rivers was lost for the season with a knee injury in December, but the Knicks were able to acquire Derek Harper from the Dallas Mavericks to replace him. Despite winning the Atlantic Division, they lost the top seed in the East to the Hawks; both teams finished 57-25 and split the season series 2-2, but the Hawks won the tiebreaker. The Knicks beat the New Jersey Nets three games to one, then they finally beat the Bulls in a seven game series to reach the Eastern Conference Finals, where the Pacers where waiting.[8] Both teams won each of their first two home games (the Knicks won Games 1 and 2, the Pacers Games 3 and 4). However, in Game 5 at Madison Square Garden, Miller became a household name on June 1, 1994 when he scored 39 points total and 25 in the fourth quarter of the Pacers' 93-86 victory at Madison Square Garden. Miller made several long three-pointers during the quarter and engaged in an animated discussion of his ongoing performance with Spike Lee, who was seated court side. The win gave the Pacers a 3-2 series lead over the Knicks, but the Pacers lost the next two games and thus the series. [edit] 1995 Eastern Conference Semifinals: The Knick Killer By virtue of the previous year's seven game series between the two teams, the Knicks and Pacers were now rivals, but the Pacers had yet to answer their foe's last two playoff series wins. The Pacers addressed their need for a point guard by acquiring then-former Knick Mark Jackson from the Los Angeles Clippers. The returning Pacers also stepped up their game. Smits enjoyed his best NBA season, averaging career highs of 17.9 points and 7.7 rebounds, Miller continued to lead the team with 19.6 points per game with a .415 three-point percentage (15th in the league) and a .897 free throw percentage (4th in the league) and was a starter in the 1995 NBA All-Star Game and member of the All-NBA Third Team. Derrick McKey played both the third scorer and provider of intangibles, placing third on the team in both scoring and rebounding, second in assists, and first in steals, earning a spot on the NBA All-Defensive Second Team. Winning the first division title and achieving its first 50-win season since joining the NBA from the ABA with a record of 52-30, the second-seeded Pacers swept the Hawks in the first round.[9] The Knicks, fresh from the previous year's Finals appearance, worked hard for a return to the Finals. Forward Anthony Mason, eventually named the 1995 NBA Sixth Man of the Year, averaged 9.9 points and 8.4 rebounds, while Ewing (top 10 in scoring, rebounding, and shotblocking), Starks (15.3 points per game), and others would put up their usually efficient production. Placing second in the Atlantic Division to the Magic with a 55-27 record and the third seed, the Knicks would dispatch of the Cleveland Cavaliers in four games.[10] With the better record, the Knicks had home court advantage over the Pacers again, setting the stage for another memorable series. In Game 1 at Madison Square Garden, it was Miller Time again as Reggie Miller amazingly scored 8 points in the final 16.4 seconds: a three-pointer followed by an interception of the Knicks' inbounds pass and another three-pointer and two free throws, erasing a 6-point Knicks lead and stealing the victory, 107-105. The stunned Knicks would settle for a two-game home split (96-77), but the Pacers would win the next two at Market Square Arena by scores of 97-95 and 98-84. The Knicks would escape Game 5, 96-95, and win Game 6 on the road, 92-82, but the Pacers would prevail in Game 7 at the Garden, 97-95, after Ewing missed a potential-tying driving layup as time expired. Knicks Head Coach Riley resigned the day after the Finals ended, and Don Nelson, having recently stepped down from the Golden State Warriors head coaching position, soon became Riley's successor. [edit] Aftermath The Knicks reached the NBA Finals in 1994 and 1999 (incidentally, after Michael Jordan's first and second retirements, respectively). The Knicks were defeated in a grueling seven game series to Houston in '94 and an uneventful five game series to San Antonio in '99. The Pacers finally reached the NBA finals by defeating the Knicks in the 2000 Eastern Conference Finals, eventually losing to the Lakers in the Finals. The playoff battles between these two franchises led to some of the greatest moments in NBA playoff history, such as Larry Johnson's four-point play in the waning seconds of Game Three of 1999 Eastern Conference Finals, Miller's 25 points in the fourth quarter of Game Five of 1994 Eastern Conference Finals, and Miller's eight points in the last 16 seconds to win Game One of the 1995 Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Did the Allies and Jews lie about the Holocaust?

    Answer:
In August 1944 the 'Grand Inquisitor' of European Jewry reported to Himmler that approximately four million Jews had died in the death camps and that another two million had been killed by mobile extermination units. Did Eichmann lie to show his superiors his true Nazism or did he reflect the meticulous records the Nazis were prone to keep? Was the 6 million figure implanted into the public consciousness as a result of the Eichmann trial in Israel in 1960? The Soviet claim was that 4 million Jews had been gassed at Auschwitz and 2 million at four other camps to arrive at the 6 million total. A monument attesting to this figure stood at the entrance to Auschwitz. It was later realized that this number was not possible and the official figure was reduced in 1980. Today the monument reads 1.2 million. Now historians generally believe that 1 million Jews were killed from 1933 to Jan. 1944 and that over 5 million were done in between the years 1942 and Fall of 1944 from the following countries: Poland3,000,000 Baltic Countries228,000 Germany/Austria210,000 Protectorate80,000 Slo vakia75,000 Greece54,000 The Netherlands105,000 Hungary450,000 SSR White Russia245,000 SSR Ukraine 900,000 Belgium40,000 Yugoslavia26,000 Romania300,000 Norway9 00 France90,000 Bulgaria14,000 Italy8,000 Luxembourg1,000 Ru ssia (RSFSR)107,000 Total 5,933,900

For decades Israel has violated well established precepts of international law and defied numerous United Nations resolutions in its occupation of conquered lands, in extra-judicial killings, and in its repeated acts of military aggression. Most of the world regards Israel's policies, and especially its oppression of Palestinians, as outrageous and criminal. This international consensus is reflected, for example, in numerous UN resolutions condemning Israel, which have been approved with overwhelming majorities. "The whole world," United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan recently said, "is demanding that Israel withdraw [from occupied Palestinian territories]. I don't think the whole world ... can be wrong." [note 1] Only in the United States do politicians and the media still fervently support Israel and its policies. For decades the US has provided Israel with crucial military, diplomatic and financial backing, including more than $3 billion each year in aid. Why is the U.S. the only remaining bastion of support for Israel? Bishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa, who was awarded the 1984 Nobel Peace Prize, has candidly identified the reason: "The Israeli government is placed on a pedestal [in the US], and to criticize it is to be immediately dubbed anti-Semitic," he said. "People are scared in this country, to say wrong is wrong because the Jewish lobby is powerful -- very powerful." [note 2] Bishop Tutu spoke the truth. Although Jews make up only about three percent of the US population, they wield immense power and influence -- vastly more than any other ethnic or religious group. As Jewish author and political science professor, Benjamin Ginsberg, has pointed out: [note 3] "Since the 1960s, Jews have come to wield considerable influence in American economic, cultural, intellectual and political life. Jews played a central role in American finance during the 1980s, and they were among the chief beneficiaries of that decade's corporate mergers and reorganizations." Today, though barely two percent of the nation's population is Jewish, close to half its billionaires are Jews. The chief executive officers of the three major television networks and the four largest film studios are Jews, as are the owners of the nation's largest newspaper chain and the most influential single newspaper, the New York Times ... The role and influence of Jews in American politics is equally marked. Jews are only two percent of the nation's population yet comprise eleven percent of what this study defines as the nation's elite. However, Jews constitute more than 25 percent of the elite journalists and publishers, more than 17 percent of the leaders of important voluntary and public interest organizations, and more than 15 percent of the top ranking civil servants. Stephen Steinlight, former Director of National Affairs of the American Jewish Committee, similarly notes the "disproportionate political power" of Jews, which is "pound for pound the greatest of any ethnic/cultural group in America." He goes on to explain that "Jewish economic influence and power are disproportionately concentrated in Hollywood, television, and in the news industry." [note 4] Two well-known Jewish writers, Seymour Lipset and Earl Raab, pointed out in their 1995 book, Jews and the New American Scene: [note 5] "During the last three decades Jews [in the United States] have made up 50 percent of the top two hundred intellectuals ... 20 percent of professors at the leading universities ... 40 percent of partners in the leading law firms in New York and Washington ... 59 percent of the directors, writers, and producers of the 50 top-grossing motion pictures from 1965 to 1982, and 58 percent of directors, writers, and producers in two or more primetime television series." The influence of American Jewry in Washington, notes the Israeli daily Jerusalem Post, is "far disproportionate to the size of the community, Jewish leaders and U.S. official acknowledge. But so is the amount of money they contribute to [election] campaigns." One member of the influential Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations "estimated Jews alone had contributed 50 percent of the funds for [President Bill] Clinton's 1996 re-election campaign." [note 6] "It makes no sense at all to try to deny the reality of Jewish power and prominence in popular culture," acknowledges Michael Medved, a well-known Jewish author and film critic. "Any list of the most influential production executives at each of the major movie studios will produce a heavy majority of recognizably Jewish names." [note 7] One person who has carefully studied this subject is Jonathan J. Goldberg, now editor of the influential Jewish community weekly 'Forward.' In his 1996 book, Jewish Power, he wrote: [note 8] "In a few key sectors of the media, notably among Hollywood studio executives, Jews are so numerically dominant that calling these businesses Jewish-controlled is little more than a statistical observation ... Hollywood at the end of the twentieth century is still an industry with a pronounced ethnic tinge. Virtually all the senior executives at the major studios are Jews. Writers, producers, and to a lesser degree directors are disproportionately Jewish -- one recent study showed the figure as high as 59 percent among top-grossing films." The combined weight of so many Jews in one of America's most lucrative and important industries gives the Jews of Hollywood a great deal of political power. They are a major source of money for Democratic candidates. Reflecting their role in the American media, Jews are routinely portrayed as high-minded, altruistic, trustworthy, compassionate, and deserving of sympathy and support. While millions of Americans readily accept such stereotyped imagery, not everyone is impressed. "I am very angry with some of the Jews," complained actor Marlon Brando during a 1996 interview. "They know perfectly well what their responsibilities are ... Hollywood is run by Jews. It's owned by Jews, and they should have a greater sensitivity about the issue of people who are suffering." [note 9] A Well-Entrenched Factor The intimidating power of the "Jewish lobby" is not a new phenomenon, but has long been an important factor in American life. In 1941 Charles Lindbergh spoke about the danger of Jewish power in the media and government. The shy 39-year-old -- known around the world for his epic 1927 New York to Paris flight, the first solo trans-Atlantic crossing -- was addressing 7,000 people in Des Moines, Iowa, on September 11, 1941, about the dangers of US involvement in the war then raging in Europe. The three most important groups pressing America into war, he explained, were the British, the Jews, and the Roosevelt administration. Of the Jews, he said: "Their greatest danger to this country lies in their large ownership and influence in our motion pictures, our press, our radio, and our government." Lindbergh went on: "For reasons which are understandable from their viewpoint as they are inadvisable from ours, for reasons which are not American, [they] wish to involve us in the war. We cannot blame them for looking out for what they believe to be their own interests, but we must also look out for ours. We cannot allow the natural passions and prejudices of other peoples to lead our country to destruction." In 1978, Jewish American scholar Alfred M. Lilienthal wrote in his detailed study, The Zionist Connection: [note 10] "How has the Zionist will been imposed on the American people?... It is the Jewish connection, the tribal solidarity among themselves and the amazing pull on non-Jews, that has molded this unprecedented power ... In the larger metropolitan areas, the Jewish-Zionist connection thoroughly pervades affluent financial, commercial, social, entertainment, and art circles." As a result of the Jewish grip on the media, wrote Lilienthal, news coverage of the Israel-Palestine conflict in American television, newspapers and magazines is relentlessly sympathetic to Israel. This is manifest, for example, in the misleading portrayal of Palestinian "terrorism." As Lilienthal put it: "One-sided reportage on terrorism, in which cause is never related to effect, was assured because the most effective component of the Jewish connection is probably that of media control." One-Sided 'Holocaust' History The Jewish hold on cultural and academic life has had a profound impact on how Americans look at the past. Nowhere is the well-entrenched Judeocentric view of history more obvious than in the "Holocaust" media campaign, which focuses on the fate of Jews in Europe during World War II. Israeli Holocaust historian Yehuda Bauer, a professor at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, has remarked: [note 11] "Whether presented authentically or inauthentically, in accordance with the historical facts or in contradiction to them, with empathy and understanding or as monumental kitsch, the Holocaust has become a ruling symbol of our culture ... Hardly a month goes by without a new TV production, a new film, a new drama, new books, prose or poetry, dealing with the subject, and the flood is increasing rather than abating." Non-Jewish suffering simply does not merit comparable attention. Overshadowed in the focus on Jewish victimization are, for example, the tens of millions of victims of America's World War II ally, Stalinist Russia, along with the tens of millions of victims of China's Maoist regime, as well as the 12 to 14 million Germans, victims of the flight and expulsion of 1944-1949, of whom some two million lost their lives. The well-financed Holocaust media and "educational" campaign is crucially important to the interests of Israel. Paula Hyman, a professor of modern Jewish history at Yale University, has observed: "With regard to Israel, the Holocaust may be used to forestall political criticism and suppress debate; it reinforces the sense of Jews as an eternally beleaguered people who can rely for their defense only upon themselves. The invocation of the suffering endured by the Jews under the Nazis often takes the place of rational argument, and is expected to convince doubters of the legitimacy of current Israeli government policy." [note 12] Norman Finkelstein, a Jewish scholar who has taught political science at City University of New York (Hunter College), says in his book, 'The Holocaust Industry,' that "invoking The Holocaust" is "a ploy to delegitimize all criticism of Jews."[note 13] "By conferring total blamelessness on Jews, the Holocaust dogma immunizes Israel and American Jewry from legitimate censure. ... Organized Jewry has exploited the Nazi holocaust to deflect criticism of Israel's and its own morally indefensible policies." He writes of the brazen "shakedown" of Germany, Switzerland and other countries by Israel and organized Jewry "to extort billions of dollars." "The Holocaust," Finkelstein predicts, "may yet turn out to be the 'greatest robbery in the history of mankind'." Jews in Israel feel free to act brutally against Arabs, writes Israeli journalist Ari Shavit, "believing with absolute certitude that now, with the White House, the Senate and much of the American media in our hands, the lives of others do not count as much as our own." [note 14] Admiral Thomas Moorer, former Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, has spoken with blunt exasperation about the Jewish-Israeli hold on the United States: [note 15] "I've never seen a President -- I don't care who he is -- stand up to them [the Israelis]. It just boggles the mind. They always get what they want. The Israelis know what is going on all the time. I got to the point where I wasn't writing anything down. If the American people understood what a grip those people have got on our government, they would rise up in arms. Our citizens certainly don't have any idea what goes on." Today, the danger is greater than ever. Israel and Jewish organizations, in collaboration with this country's pro-Zionist Christian fundamentalist "amen corner," are prodding the United States -- the world's foremost military and economic power -- into new wars against Israel's enemies. As the French ambassador in London recently acknowledged, Israel -- which he called (a quote which shocked millions -ed) "that ****ty little country" -- is a threat to world peace. "Why should the world be in danger of World War III because of those people?," he said. [note 16] In summation: Jews wield immense power and influence in the United States. The "Jewish lobby" is a decisive factor in US support for Israel. Jewish-Zionist interests are not identical to American interests. In fact, they often conflict. As long as the "very powerful" Jewish lobby remains entrenched, there will be no end to the systematic Jewish-Zionist distortion of current affairs and history, the Jewish-Zionist domination of the U.S. political system, Zionist oppression of Palestinians, the bloody conflict between Jews and non-Jews in the Middle East, and the Israeli threat to peace. Whats wrong with listening up?
    Question:
You folks wont listen to the truth about the war even if George Sr says it George H.W. Bush had this to say in a 1998 Time article, when asked why US/UN forces didn't go after Saddam Hussein after Iraqi forces were pushed out of Kuwait in the Gulf War. "We would have been forced to occupy Baghdad and, in effect, rule Iraq. The coalition would instantly have collapsed, the Arabs deserting it in anger and other allies pulling out as well. Under those circumstances, furthermore, we had been self-consciously trying to set a pattern for handling aggression in the post-cold war world. Going in and occupying Iraq, thus unilaterally exceeding the U.N.'s mandate, would have destroyed the precedent of international response to aggression we hoped to establish. Had we gone the invasion route, the U.S. could conceivably still be an occupying power in a bitterly hostile land. It would have been a dramatically different--and perhaps barren--outcome." Seems like besides running the CIA and being a one term president, Bush Sr. was a a fortune teller, for his own kid. Or Colin Powells people A former top State Department aide to Colin Powell said today that President Bush and Vice President Cheney are more deserving of impeachment than was Bill Clinton. Lawrence Wilkerson, who was chief of staff to then-Secretary of State Colin Powell, said on the public radio program On Point Thursday that "Bill Clinton's peccadilloes ... pale in significance" when compared to the "high crimes and misdemeanors" of Bush and Cheney. Wilkerson did not directly call on Congress to begin impeachment hearings, and he brought up impeachment in response to a caller's question. Early in the show, however, he observed, "This administration doesn't know how to effect accountability, in my opinion." Wilkerson's comments were first reported by pro-impeachment Web site AfterDowningStreet.org. "The language in [the Constitution] about impeachment is nice and precise -– it's high crimes and misdemeanors," he said. "You compare Bill Clinton's peccadilloes for which he was impeached to George Bush's high crimes and misdemeanors or Dick Cheney's high crimes and misdemeanors, and I think they pale in significance." Taking a historical view of impeachment, Wilkerson said he believed the Founding Fathers would be surprised that more presidents had not been impeached. "I do believe that they would have thought had they been asked by you or whomever at the time of the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia 'Do you think this will be exercised?' they would have said 'Of course it will, every generation they'll have to throw some bastard out.'"Wilkerson said. "That's a form of accountability too. It's ultimate accountability." Asked about the high crimes of the current administration, Wilkerson said the American public was duped into supporting a war in Iraq. "I think we went into this war for specious reasons," he said. "I think we went into this war not too much unlike the way we went into the Spanish American War with the Hearst press essentially goading the American people and the leadership into war. That was a different time in a different culture, in a different America. We're in a very different place today and I think we essentially got goaded into the war through some of the same means." Or the troops A poll taken last year showed that an overwhelming majority of troops in Iraq WANTED US OUT OF THERE BY NOW. http://www.zogby.com/news/readnews.dbm?i... An overwhelming majority of 72% of American troops serving in Iraq think the U.S. should exit the country within the next year, and more than one in four say the troops should leave immediately, a new Le Moyne College/Zogby International survey shows. The poll, conducted in conjunction with Le Moyne College’s Center for Peace and Global Studies, showed that 29% of the respondents, serving in various branches of the armed forces, said the U.S. should leave Iraq “immediately,” while another 22% said they should leave in the next six months. Another 21% said troops should be out between six and 12 months, while 23% said they should stay “as long as they are needed Or the generals in the field CONCORD, N.H. - Three retired generals challenged a dozen members of Congress in a new ad campaign Wednesday, saying the politicians can't expect to win re-election if they support President Bush's policies in Iraq. "I am outraged, as are the majority of Americans. I'm a lifelong Republican, but it's past time for change," retired Maj. Gen. John Batiste told reporters. "Our strategy in Iraq today is more of the same, a slow grind to nowhere which totally ignores the reality of Iraq and the lessons of history," Batiste said. Is the GOP working to keep eligible African-Americans from voting in several states.?
    Question:
Newsweek Article -Jonathan Alter September 11, 2008 Jim Crawford’ Republicans The GOP is working to keep eligible African-Americans from voting in several states. It was a mainstay of Jim Crow segregation: for 100 years after the Civil War, Southern white Democrats kept eligible blacks from voting with poll taxes, literacy tests and property requirements. Starting in the 1960s, the U.S. Supreme Court declared these assaults on the heart of American democracy unconstitutional. Now, with the help of a 2008 Supreme Court decision, Crawford vs. Marion County (Indiana) Election Board, white Republicans in some areas will keep eligible blacks from voting by requiring driver's licenses. Not only is this new-fangled discrimination constitutional, it's spreading. GOP proponents of the move say they are merely trying to reduce voter fraud. But while occasional efforts to stuff ballot boxes through phony absentee voting still surface, the incidence of individual vote fraud—voting when you aren't eligible—is virtually non-existent, as "The Truth About Vote Fraud," a study by the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University, clearly shows. In other words, the problem Republicans claim they want to combat with increased ID requirements doesn't exist. Meanwhile, those ID hurdles facing individuals do nothing to stop the organized insiders who still try to game the system. The motive here is political, not racial. Republicans aren't bigots like the Jim Crow segregationists. But they know that increased turnout in poor, black neighborhoods is good for Democrats. In that sense, the effort to suppress voting still amounts to the practical equivalent of racism. In Crawford, the court upheld an Indiana law essentially requiring a passport or driver's license in order to vote. But more than two thirds of Indiana adults have no passports and nearly 15 percent have no driver's licenses. These eligible voters, disproportionately African-American, will need to take a bus or catch a ride from a friend down to the motor vehicles bureau to make sure they obtain a nondriver photo ID. Otherwise, they cannot vote in Indiana this year. To get an idea of how many African-Americans nationwide lack driver's licenses, recall Hurricane Katrina in 2005, when thousands were stranded without transportation. "Crawford Republicans" could make the old "Jim Crow Democrats" look like pikers when it comes to voter suppression. Consider Wisconsin, a swing state. Republicans officials there are suing to enforce a "no match, no vote" provision in state regulations, where voters must not only show a photo ID, but establish that it matches the name and number in the Department of Motor Vehicles or Social Security Administration database. (Democrats are resisting the suit.) These lists are riddled with errors in every state, as the Brennan Center has proven in its report, "Restoring the Right to Vote." How error prone? Florida wrongly purged tens of thousands of law-abiding, mostly Democratic, voters from the rolls in 2000, claiming they were felons. (This, among other things, cost Al Gore the presidency). Even after the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) and worldwide attention, the Florida software is still flawed. It requires only an 80 percent match to the name of a convicted felon. "So if there's a murderous John Peterson, the software disenfranchises everyone named John Peters," Andrew Hacker writes in a recent New York Review of Books. Voters caught in these snafus can have their rights restored but not if they fail to straighten things out before Election Day. Otherwise they are granted "provisional ballots" that are sometimes counted and sometimes not. Even obtaining a provisional ballot can require an appearance in front of a judge in some states. Faced with the hassle, most voters just give up. The ability of actual felons to get their right to vote back varies by state. It's especially hard for felons to vote in Virginia; a bit easier in Pennsylvania and Michigan. (Other countries are far more generous to ex-convicts, figuring that having paid their debt to society they should be allowed to vote again.) All of this would seem to favor John McCain over Barack Obama this year, but some voting-rights trends are pointing in the opposite direction. In Ohio, where the governor and secretary of state changed in 2006 from Republican to Democrat, a new law allows voters to register to vote and fill out an absentee ballot at the same time between Sept. 30 and Oct. 6. This will mean a week of furious campaigning and early voting in a key state. Advantage Obama. With 470,000 students enrolled in Ohio's public colleges and universities (and nine out of 10 are Ohio residents), expect a bumper crop of young voters. The combination of voter suppression and early voting make turnout predictions perilous. And without knowing turnout, most polling is deeply flawed. So about the only thing we know for sure this year oops--- here's the rest So about the only thing we know for sure this year is that with the Crawford decision we are seeing a return to the days when one political party saw a huge advantage in preventing as many poor people as possible from voting. That's understandable politically, but also un-American. I don't know if this is true-but I want it out there so people can find out the truth for themselves.....

Geographic Region: Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky / East Chicago, Indiana Brock, James "Jim" James Brock was the second head basketball coach at William Grant High School (WGHS) in Covington, Kentucky, coaching there from 1955 to 1965. Like other African American school teams in Kentucky, WGHS was a member of the Kentucky High School Athletic League (KHSAL). The counter league, Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA), was for whites only until school integration began in the mid-1950s. The 1956-1957 WGHS team was the first African American basketball team to win a district tournament in the KHSAA tournament. As more African American students were allowed to attend the formerly all white schools, there was an impact on the pool of high school athletes that had been restricted to the all black schools. In 1965, the year that William Grant High School was closed, the basketball team won only five games. The season was a far cry from the winning seasons that had garnered the school a win-loss record of 185-69 during Brock's years as head coach. With the closing of William Grant, Brock moved on to Cincinnati, where he continued to successfully coach high school sports. James Brock was inducted into the Northern Kentucky Black Hall of Fame and the KHSAA Hall of Fame in 2000. For more see Shadows of the past, by L. The 6'8" center was an All-America basketball player at Kentucky Wesleyan College (KWC) and a member of the team that won the 1987 NCAA Division II Championship. Brown, starting all but one game, was the second leading rebounder that season with 225 rebounds. Brown went on to play ball with the Harlem Globetrotters from 1988-1995. He underwent a kidney transplant in 1996 and taught elementary school geography in Daviess County, Kentucky in 1997. For more see M. Casey, a 6' 2" guard, was on the University of Kentucky basketball team from 1976-1979; the 1977-78 team won the NCAA Championship. Casey played in 95 games, scoring 125 total points. He then was an assistant coach under Clem Haskins for five years at Western Kentucky University until 1986, when he became an assistant coach at the University of Kentucky. Casey was the third former player to become an assistant coach at UK and the first African American to do so. In 1988 he filed a $6.9 million suit against the Emery Air Freight Corp. and the employees who claimed to have discovered $1,000 cash in a package Casey sent to the father of California basketball player Chris Mills. [The suit was eventually settled out of court.] Casey resigned from the UK in 1989. He later served as an assistant coach overseas and in the NBA. From June 2005 - January 2007, Casey was head coach of the NBA's Minnesota Timberwolves.
