Butler is located at 41°25′49″N 84°52′19″W / 41.43028, -84.87194 (41.430166, -84.871859).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.8 square miles (4.6 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 2,725 people, 983 households, and 699 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,523.6 people per square mile (587.8/km²). There were 1,075 housing units at an average density of 601.1/sq mi (231.9/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 97.69% White, 0.15% African American, 0.18% Native American, 0.11% Asian, 1.25% from other races, and 0.62% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.24% of the population.
There were 983 households out of which 40.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.8% were married couples living together, 12.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.8% were non-families. 23.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. Is an MBA from Butler in Indiana a good choice?

My Gmat score 580, which only a little above average (65th percentile), and won't Get me into Krannert or Kelley business
schools. I want an MBA, and I'm stuck in Indianapolis, I'm curious is it a good degree or is not to reputable.
Answer:
If you need to stay where you are, are working full time & want a part time MBA program that may help you get ahead in your current position -- then sure, Butler is fine.
If you plan on taking two years off to go full time -- then it won't be worth the expense. It is only worth going full time if you can get into a ranked program.
If you have a decent GPA and a few years of work experience -- think about taking a GMAT study course and retaking the GMATs. If you can get into the 600s you have a shot at a much better MBA program.

I am going to be a highschool senior next year, and I am having trouble picking colleges to visit! I don't know much
about any of these places since most of my friends go to IU. I would like to know out of these schools, which ones are the best, and look the best when getting out into the career field!

I LOVED the campus at University Of Southern Indiana, but I was dissapointed when people told me that it wasn't a very good school. They told me it was a step above a community college. I didn't get that impression when I visited there, and was totally unaware of this....Is this true?
By the way, I am thinking of studying psychology, or buisness. So, if you could tell me which schools specialize in that area, that would be great!

Most all schools are what you make and get out of them. A mediocre school can be the best place for you to excell if you work hard. Nationally known on this list are Ball State, Butler, DePaul, Purdue. The others I know about as I used to teach a course twice a year for two weeks in Indianapolis. If you went to visit and loved University of Southern Indiana, your instincts are probably right and it would be a good school for you. The fact that someone tries to put it down is not valid as the experience wil be what you make of it. If you want to one day work in NYC, then the more nationally known your university, the better your chances for that mega-bucks job.

Which is the better basketball state, North Carolina or Indiana?

I'm talking everything, best young talent, best fans, best teams...I have to go with Indaina myself, Purdue and IU own this state, i've never seen so much hype for one game and i live in northern indiana, not close to any of them but that was the talk of the town for a solid month leading up to it, plus we got Butler and ND doing good this year also

North Carolina has the best college rivalry, but Indiana is the better overall state. I definitely think they have more young talent. And the Pacers are better than the...oh wait -- that's right, NC couldn't support a pro team!
And then there's the movie Hoosiers. Case closed!

Does anyone know where I might find floorplans for the Morris-Butler house in Indianapolis? I checked the website of the Indiana Historical Landmarks Foundation, which owns the house and property, but they didn't have the plans displayed. Any help would be immensely appreciated.

If they don't have it online, no one else will so you'll either have to go to the Foundation itself or enquire at a local library.

Most of them are good but I don't agree with 2 of them. The 2 are Creighton def. Nevada and Old Dominion def. Butler. Creighton def. Nevada because Nevada should be way higher up in the seeds like 4 or 5. They desire much more then they got. They are also a mid major conference and they didn't win there conference Old Dominion def. Butler because Butler has been in the top 25 almost the whole year. Even though like Nevada they didn't win there conference and they are also a mid major conference they are not going to be upset in round 1.
Many people have been saying Oral Roberts will upset Washington St. So if people keep on saying that it will not really be an upset. I also have Gonzaga def. Indiana. I think they will come back for revenge against Ucla but they come up short. Winthrop is a maybe for me.

Indiana is playing tonight though (hopfully they wont screw up again)

Yeah, it's great for the state of Indiana to have teams in the NCAA Tournament. I'm really excited because I'm from Indiana, and it's great seeing IU, Purdue, ND, and Butler playing well. Evidently, I'm a Hoosiers fan, and I hope they get it done against Arkansas tonight.

I'm not aware of Butler having a vet school... I think you can take some pre-vet classes there, but I don't think you can even do a pre-vet major...
