I am planning my own wedding and reception there and each time I talk to them there is a NEW charge for something else. These aren't optional either according to the owners. Its strange they can charge the minimum of $2200 for ceremony and reception, yet they can't spend money to draw up a contract to sign for the agreement and what to expect...I'm hoping for the best but would like some input from other brides and attendees and their opinion of the events there.

You don't need a license at all once you have signed the Avon contract that allows you the right to sell the Avon products
When you join Avon it is your business so you do what you choose to do with it as you please.
Personally for me it has been worth while. I am able to make $250 every 2 weeks in addition to my full time income.
Not sure if you are aware but now you can sign up to become a representative online plus it is only $20 to get started and you could sign up now online. Plus, with all the support that is available out there you should be able to make a great income.
