Questions Possibly Related to Anderson, IndianaProvided By Y! Answers
Should I buy a house in Anderson Indiana? Question: Anyone that knows of this place? Can you tell me something about this location. Thank you
Answer:
I live about 15 minutes north of Anderson, IN and work there as well, so maybe I can help. As far as buying a house in Anderson, now is a pretty good time to do so. Due to some big layoffs there in the last few years, houses are pretty cheap. Try looking for a foreclosure, I just got a $50k house for $10.5k, talk about a deal. Now in case the layoff and foreclosure talk is discouraging to you, I say, Anderson is a good place to live. Jobs are coming to town all over. The south section of town next to I-69 is really growing. A lot of good places to shop out there as well as things to do. Anderson has very good schools and is all in all a very beautiful city. Also, it is very close to Indianapolis which is a big plus. I would recommend it to anyone as a place to live. If you have any other questions about it, you can email me and I'll be glad to help you.

The public school district of Anderson, Indiana is enforcing students to wear Uniforms, Is This Legal? Question: There is a lawsuit and everything happening over this very real incident. Do you think that students (attending public school) should be enforced to wear uniforms? If so, or if not, please discuss the reason for your answer.
If you want more information on this subject, click on the link below.
http://www.theheraldbulletin.com/local/local_story_1991 95925.html?start:int=0
Answer:
Without thoroughly researching the issue, my sense is that the public school cannot mandate a single uniform (even though general dress codes are allowable).
Dress is a generally recognized form of expression. And under current constitutional interpretation (even with the Roberts court gutting 1st Amendment protections last month), the school must still show that restraints on student expression are necessary to prevent disruption of the educational environment.
Since countless other schools around the country function without a mandatory uniform, the school will be hard pressed to show that the uniform requirements are the only way to avoid disruption. Hence, they probably cannot meet even the reduced burden of intermediate scrutiny that would apply.
