What are the advantages and disadvantages of living in Lake Forest, Illinois?
Question:
I am interested in relocating to Lake Forest, Illinois after the year 2009. Lake Forest is located north of Chicago in Lake County and although Lake Country is the home of the Chicago Bears, I do not know the advantages and disadvantages of living in Lake Forest? Also, does Lake Forest have the METRA and/or the Chicago Transit Authority?
My question is, what are the advantages and disadvantages of living in Evanston, Illinois and is it a good city to reside in? Why or why not?

the metra and CTA do not go that far.
lake forest is a rich suburb.
i lived just north of there in lake bluff.
my dad taught high school in lake forest.
things may have changed, that was about 40 years ago
but it is probably still relatively wealthy.
big houses. you might not be able to afford it.
see if you can find any houses or apartments within your price range there.
the winters are really cold. the summers are really hot.
it's near lake michigan.
evanston is not as high class. more middle class and lower class people live there, but rich people too. i still think it's too far out for public transportation.

can someone please find me some good information about barat college in lake forest illinois?
Answer:
Unfortunately, there is no college left there.
Barat College was sold to DePaul University a couple years ago. DePaul has since closed their Barat Campus, and sold the property to a developer. It should be condos in a couple years. Currently, it appears that the historic chapel will be demolished, and the City of Lake Forest has okay'ed its demolition. It is currently on the 10 Most Endangered List issued by the Illinois Landmarks Preservation Council.

I would like to visit Kenosha, but I need to know if there is a train or easy method of transportation from Lake Forest, or just if it's close enough to drive to within an hour's time.

You can take a Metra train too- takes about 45 minutes and costs $4.75 for a regular fare.

Im not exactly sure, seeing as how im from texas, but if you check the website (google it if you dont know it off hand) it should tell you. If it doesnt, there will be a phone number to call.
