    Bedford Park is a village in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 574 at the 2000 census. Bedford Park consists of a small residential area and vast amounts of heavy industry sprawling to the east and a small amount to the west. Bedford Park is located at 41°45′9″N 87°47′9″W / 41.7525, -87.78583 (41.768508, -87.785803). According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 6.1 square miles (15.7 km²), of which, 6.0 square miles (15.5 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.3 km²) of it (1.81%) is water. As of the census of 2000, there were 574 people, 211 households, and 160 families residing in the village. The population density was 96.2 people per square mile (37.1/km²). There were 218 housing units at an average density of 36.5/sq mi (14.1/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 96.86% White, 1.05% African American, 0.52% Native American, 0.17% Asian, 0.17% from other races, and 1.22% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.62% of the population. The top three ancentries reported in Bedford Park as of the 2000 census were Irish (26.2%), German (24.9%) and Polish (19.6%).
