Has anyone heard anything about Motion Raceway (the drag strip) near Assumption, Illinois?
    Question:
I've been hearing rumors for years about it making a comeback, but recently there have been some reputeable names associated with those rumors. Is there any truth to Motion making a return to it's former glory? I used to go there a long time ago. I always thought it was the best track in Illinois, if not the country.

    Answer:
The last I knew, there was nothing left there, except the track itself. Moweaqua Farmer's Co-Op had been storing it's excess corn out there on the track surface under tarps, until they could get it into the elevator. Motion's old tower is at Macon Speedway now. I used to be able to see the lights from the track, and hear the cars running there before they shut it down. that was only on the odd Saturday nights when we weren't running at Macon, and Motion was still running. edit - Oh WOW!! I guess it is true!! Thanks for the link Jacque71! I also found this link that has more info on it.... http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=1947055 Actua lly, Jacque71's link should be http://www.ncperformanceinc.com/races.htm Edit 2 - Hey Greg, If you happen to come across "Wild Bill" up there on the hill, tell him "The Dirt Tracker" says "Hi".........and his velcro glovers are still in my truck. He'll know what I mean. Edit 3 - Thanks for the link Brek! It forwarded me to this link (the actual forum) http://amccars.net/cgi/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1202716430

Can an individual with a felony background work as a CNA or pharmacy tech in Illinois?
    Question:
I am working with an individual who is requesting training for either CNA or pharmacy tech assistant, but has a felony background. I was under the assumption that it is nearly impossible to work in ANY healthcare industry in the state of Illinois if there is a felony background.

    Answer:
Illinois law says if you were convicted of any felony while you have the license, your license is either suspended or revoked. The issue is that the felony happened before, with that, you'll need to contact the Illinois Board of Pharmacy.

Why does every one assume the South is racist?
    Question:
When today in reality Milwaukee, WI is the most segregated city in the Nation and the most segregated school system in the New York City schools and the largest and most prolific skin head group(s) is in Illinois. I'm not saying the South has not had its problems but at least be honest here as Atlanta is one of the most racially diverse city in the U.S. So when you start making assumptions about an area or a people at least do so honestly and back it up with the truth. Otherwise aren't you just being bigoted? do a web search the facts are clear the north has a more prolific racism problem....also remember when you assumptions are not fact do you people ever really read a post? i never said the south did not have racism nor did i say the north was nothing but racist....reread do a web search on your facts then post....as for a woman being beaten in atlanta by the kkk, when...where are the facts if so then thats terrible but an awful lot of blacks are beaten and killed in northern, western and eastern states...the point being racisim is everywhere but to say a large group of citizens (southerners) are all racist or the states they live in is as bigoted as saying all blacks are evil. lazy gang bangers or disparaging any other group because of their ethnicity or color...i have lived all over this great nation, north, south, east and west and without a doubt the years i spent in and around the chicago area opened my eyes to racism, there was more there than any of the time i spent in the south....its was more subtle but more rampant and i think much more destructive...you believe what you want but the truth is the truth.

    Answer:
I think the flip-side of your question is even better. Why does everyone assume that people in the North are not racist?

If police see closed can of beer in rear seat of vehicle during stop, is this probable cause for drug search?
    Question:
Pulled over for speeding. Police ran my license and registration, dispatcher cleared me as valid. Officer after the dispatch verification noticed a closed can of beer in rear seat. I told him I hadn't been drinking and that the beer wasn't mine, I was driving my sister's car. He made me take a sobriety test, I passed. He then handcuffed me and called a K-9 unit for sniff search. Marijuana was found. Can this evidence be dismissed on grounds of illegal search and seizure. If so, I need cases and laws that I can refer to that are of similar circumstances. Happened in Illinois. State Police pulled me over. The officer's car recorder was on and recording the entire detainment and the dispatch and enroute was reserved, reaction timing for all detentions will be visible. Is it procedure that an officer has to establish all probable cause for a search within the time of the traffic stop, or is the assumption(beer) leading to "probable cause to search" enough to detain after traffic stop ends? I did not give permission to search, I told him he could not search. That's why he called a K-9. He claims he smelled alcohol on me, but I hadn't been drinking. It was a single can. It didn't belong to a pack. Can they let the dog in your vehicle to conduct the search? I understand that around the vehicle is legal.

    Answer:
you really need to talk somebody who knows Illinois state law. That is what they're going to get you under, and a good lawyer. There is a case Arizona v. somebody I can't remember right now. The summary is that they police can stop you for cause. They thought this man was a suspect in a nearby robbery so they stopped him and patted him down. No Gun nor stolen goods. however they did find a pack or MJ in his pocket. It was deemed inadmissible by the courts eventually upon appeal because the police can make up a probable cause that is unrelated to what they were looking for. However you are probably in trouble because the courts will most likely find that alcohol in the backseat is enough cause. Find a good criminal defense attorney or plea. Doesn't matter that it wasn't your beer. You were driving the car.

MEDICAL BILLERS HELP!! Medicaid as a secondary....?
    Question:
I currently have Unicare with a $35 co-pay and a $1000 deductable. My secondary is Family Care which is a form of Illinois Medicaid and it has a co-pay of $2. I have graduated medical billing and am pretty sure on the answer to my question, but I need to know how to prove it if I am correct. My husband has been assigned to go to physical therapy. They accept both insurances. They are trying to tell my husband that there is a $30 co-pay because they are physical therapy. My assumption was that with a secondary or co-insurance you are to bill the patient after you have billed the other sources. When you recieve the EOB from the primary (Unicare) you bill the remainder, which includes the co-pay, to the secondary (Medicaid). Then the secondary insurance's EOB shows what is left of the member responsibility. Therefore the only thing we may have to pay is the $2 Medicaid co-pay. PLEASE HELP!!

    Answer:
OK, this probably doesn't answer your question but it caught my eye because I am a PT practicing in IL and we accept public aid and unicare at our facility. My experience with Unicare (if PPO) is that they don't have a $30 co-pay...they only COVER $30 each visit (normally leaving the patient with about a $190 co-pay)...and they only cover 12 visits. The HMO covers better, but you are limited to 30 visits a year. However, if you are going to a facility that accepts P.A., you shouldn't have to worry anyway. ...and I believe you are correct about the billing procedure...but I cannot confirm that... Good luck with his rehab.

Do you think an Edwards-Obama or Obama-Edwards ticket would have a chance?
    Question:
I'm not saying that I would want it or not want it, but it seems to be a pretty formidable combination based on: 1. It's two-thirds of the frontrunners: Assuming that each of the three frontrunners has an equal chance of winning (granted, its a false assumption, but it makes the math easier), they have a 67% chance of winning the Democratic nomination. 2. It has a similar ideological base: Both are perceived as agents of change. They are slightly different in approach. (Obama seems to be more about compromise, while Edwards seems to prefer confrontation), but their messages and positions are pretty similar. 3. Its geographically balanced: Obama could do well in the Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Michigan region, while Edwards could do well in the South. That's a lot of electorial college votes. Again, I'm not specifically saying that this is the combination I want, but I do think it could be tough to beat. Any opinions? There are two reasons I didn't throw Hillary into this combination. 1. Ideological differences. As much as she says she stands for change, she is probably the most symbolic old-regime candidate the Dems could nominate. It sort of harms that "change" theme that Edwards/Obama want. 2. Assuming that Hillary isn't the nominee, I do not see her as a strong VP candidate. She doesn't really bring a state with her. (Carpetbagged New York, so she really can't claim it as her own. Been out of Arkansas and Illinois too long so people think of her as theirs). She also brings those high negative ratings.

    Answer:
No. I will never vote for Obama or Edwards. Their views do not represent my own self interest. DTG

    Pentagram-A Christian symbol?
    Question:
Why do most christians don't believe that the pentagram(not the inverted one) is a christian symbol? It represents the five wounds of Christ. The pentagram was used as a Christian symbol for the five senses,[10] and if the letters S, A, L, V, and S are inscribed in the points, it can be taken as a symbol of health (from Latin salus).[citation needed] Medieval Christians believed it to symbolise the five wounds of Christ. The pentagram was believed to protect against witches and demons.[11] The pentagram figured in a heavily symbolic Arthurian romance[11]: it appears on the shield of Sir Gawain in the 14th century poem Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. As the poet explains, the five points of the star each have five meanings: they represent the five senses, the five fingers, the five wounds of Christ,[12] the five joys that Mary had of Jesus (the Annunciation, the Nativity, the Resurrection, the Ascension, and the Assumption), and the five virtues of knighthood which Gawain hopes to embody: noble generosity, fellowship, purity, courtesy, and compassion. Probably due to misinterpretation of symbols used by ceremonial magicians, it later became associated with Satanism and subsequently rejected by most of Christianity sometime in the twentieth century.[11] The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has traditionally used pentagrams and five-pointed stars in Temple architecture, particularly the Nauvoo Illinois Temple[13] and the Salt Lake Temple. These symbols derived from traditional morning star pentagrams that are no longer commonly used in mainstream Christianity

    Answer:
Written by the Apostle Paul and relevant to your question: From 1 Corinthians 2:2. "For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified." Everything else counts for naught, so we ought not to waste any energy on such things as symbols. From Romans 14:14-17,21: "... there is nothing unclean of itself; but to him whio considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean. Yet if your brother is grieved because of your food [i.e., food sacrificed to idols], you are no longer walking in love. Do not destroy with your food the one for whom Christ died. Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil; for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. It is good neither to eat meat nor drink wine nor do anything by which your brother stumbles or is offended or is made weak." He is not talking about vegetarianism. The teaching here is that a Christian should avoid partaking in anything that might offend the conscience of his brother or sister in Christ. That would include a pentagram. Medieval Christians, like Christians today, can be mistaken in their understanding and practices. Any who believed that a pentagram could provide protection was engaging in idolatry, which the Bible says is "an abomination to the Lord." Blessings.

With Barack Obama disenfranchsing Floridians, would you vote for this "game player"?
    Question:
Before you answer, consider the following: -Both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton were on the Florida ballot. -Neither campaigned in Florida (contrary to some popular myths that state that Hillary campaigned here and therefore had an unfair advantage), -Hillary Clinton captured 49.77% of the vote to Obama's 32.93 (John Edwards, who was still in the race in January 2008 captured 14.38%). Barack Obama's campaign has proposed a 50-50 split with the Florida delegates. Yet this "solution" would essentially take all of John Edwards' votes and give them to Obama, essentially disenfranchising all of Edwards voters and making the unwarranted assumption that had Edwards dropped out before the primary, all of his voters would have voted for Obama. Keep in mind, Obama has stated time and again he wants to end the "game playing", yet this sort of "game playing" is nothing new for him. In Illinois he ran UNOPPOSED for the US Senate seat in 2004, so he would have won even if no one had showed up to vote. Now Obama is saying he wants 17% (mostly from Edwards) to go to him. Knowing that Obama is essentially disenfranchising Florida's Democratic voters, and that he has shown time and again "game playing" votes and shenanigans are not beneath him, would you, as a Florida Democratic voter, vote for Obama? I'd like to get input from everyone, but especially Florida Democratic voters who had voted for Edwards.

    Answer:
Obama did not disenfranchise Floridians. The Democratic Party bosses in FL chose to ignore a DNC rule about when to hold their primary. They were told that if they violated the rule their delegates would not be seated at the convention. They went ahead and chose to break their own party's rules. Now they have to pay the consequences.

Article about Obama being racist in the Examiner?
    Question:
Here is an article about Obama: Please comment on it. What do you now think about him after reading this article? http://www.examiner.com/printa-536474~%E2%80%98Trappe d_between_two_worlds%E2%80%99.htm WASHINGTON - Sen. Barack Obama, the only major black candidate in the 2008 presidential race, has spent much of his life anguishing over his mixed-race heritage and self-described “racial obsessions.” Descended from a white American mother and black Kenyan father, the Illinois Democrat once wrote: “He was black as pitch, my mother white as milk.” In his first memoir, “Dreams from My Father,” Obama observed that when people discover his mixed-race heritage, they make assumptions about “the mixed blood, the divided soul, the ghostly image of the tragic mulatto trapped between two worlds.” Indeed, Obama acknowledges feeling tormented for much of his life by “the constant, crippling fear that I didn't belong somehow, that unless I dodged and hid and pretended to be something I wasn't, I would forever remain an outsider, with the rest of the world, black and white, always

    Answer:
I am sure that everyone who is of the same heritage as him has had similar thoughts while growing up, and until they finally accept who they are, however I fail to see why that would make him a racist.

What does Obama mean by typical white people?
    Question:
I hope he doesn't mean that all white men like myself are a bunch of racists who stereotype individuals for their physical appearances. When I heard these comments I was for a lost of words.. Barack obama get over your (beep) self, It's people like yourself who make the race relations in this country worst by making foolish assumptions. Audio http://youtube.com/watch?v=CYudCtO8fdw ht tp://www.redlasso.com/ClipPlayer.aspx?id=8a521134-e10b-4bfb-8aec- 690d61794d50 "Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, said "the point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity. She doesn't. But she is a typical white person, who, if she sees somebody on the street that she doesn't know, well there's a reaction that's in our experiences that won't go away and can sometimes come out in the wrong way. And that's just the nature of race in our society. We have to break through it."

Do all guys assume I'm gay?!?
    Question:
Story: Called my friend in Illinois, hear her boyfriend in the background say something, hear her say "he's not gay", he mumbles something else, I hear her say again "he's NOT gay" (i think she thought I couldn't hear all this). She came back and said "Sorry, Joe was being mean." Now I know I'm not gay, but recently I've been asked if I am by a friend (who's a guy), and I encountered the situation above so I'm just wondering if every guy I meet just assumes I am...it's f-ing frustrating at this point because people are judging me based on their assumptions, and, dudes, that's not fair!!! part of the problem is probably that i'm not buff and I have a baby-face, so I just look like this weak little "smear the queer" (pardon the wording, not trying to offend) guy I guess?!

    Answer:
The boyfriend is jealous of you, because you were on the phone to his girlfriend, so he wanted to say something mean about you. Not sure about the second guy. Maybe he's gay, and thought you were cute, and wanted to find out if you were moulded that way or not. Don't worry, If it makes you feel any better, my Dad made my Mum have a talk to me because I was doing a law studies project about human rights (specifically gay rights), and I asked this gay rights group to send me some info, which they did. A couple of days after the info arrived, my Mum came into my room and gave me the old "its okay to be you, we'll still love you, just be honest with us" speech. Pretty funny.

Article about Obama being racist in the Examiner?

    Answer:
He chooses to make his run for president about race and religion. He found out what people wanted to hear. Clinton had alot of black supporters so he talked about how they have struggled to be equal. He knew that alot of people of atheist or agnostic or muslim so he made a speech and said "this is not a nation of christians anymore". I think he brought all this on himself. Little about solutions and ideas. Same old democrat speech, and whatever works. Update: the way he talks about being ingratiated in with the whites? I would think that was a good thing for him. And he was only 12 or 13. Why did that hurt him?
