Questions Possibly Related to Alpha, IllinoisProvided By Y! Answers
If I currently attend a university without an Alpha Kappa Alpha Chapter, what are my options for rushing? Question: I've recently transferred to DeVry University from the University of Illinois. Unfortunately, a chapter has not been established at DeVry. I've looked over the sorority website which states that prospectives may rush through a city chapter. However, I still wonder if I'm able to rush AKA through another university in the proximity of where I live, instead.
Answer:
Hi, it looks like you are going to have to wait until you graduate and make your interest known in a grad chapter. I am a member of AKA and you will not be able to just go to another campus and participate in their membership process. Your best bet is to get to know members of grad chapters in the area in preparation for you graduating.
