    Algonquin is a village located in both Kane and McHenry County, Illinois. A 2007 special census placed the Village's population at 30,548, growing considerably from the 2000 Census figure of 23,276. The village is known as "The Gem of the Fox River Valley", since its downtown is nestled in the heart of Illinois' Fox River Valley. Established in 1890 and long known as a small river community, the village is currently making the transition into a major regional hub, as it has experienced considerable suburban growth over the past 15 years. Now stretching all the way west to the busy Randall Road corridor, Algonquin has become a major center of retail activity and a growing business center. Additionally, the village continues to see considerable residential growth. In wake of the growth, the village has had to deal with challenges such as traffic congestion and overburdened schools. In spite of this, the Village has managed to grow its commercial tax base, preserve its character and history, and substantially increase its recreational offerings.     I am trying to find an apartment and I have two dogs that are about 60lbs each. One is a pit mix, and one I think is a lab mix. Has anyone had any luck finding an apartment in Algonquin, Carpentersville, Crystal Lake, Rolling Meadows, Bartlett, or any other suburbs in that area that do not have breed restrictions? The pit is 8 years old and has lived in apartments most of her life (with the exception of when she was still a small pup). the lab mix is almost 10, and very lazy.

    you most likely wont find a place that accepts pits because insurance wont cover them no matter what. it was hard enough finding a place for my 65 lb golden. try to find a house for rent, usually they'll be more apt to do it. or you can ask if an appt will let you if YOU purchase renters insurance, its only like $10 a month. good luck :)

I want to find a good college/university near the city that has efficient transportation system to there (like Metra railway or subway). I don't want to use U of Chicago or Northwestern because of the academic rigors and high tuition rates. I'm an Illinois resident so UIC's standards would be good. However, I'd like to find more options than just UIC, though UIC is certainly affordable for me. Community Colleges are out of the question because my current school won't accept transfer credits from junior colleges. THANKS! Btw, I have 4 weeks over winter and 3 months over the summer, so if I can squeeze in an introductory physics/1st semester physics in either break time, that'd be great.

I got pulled over about a month ago for doing 55 where it was 45 and he took my license and gave me a court date which is 10/25/08. THEN!, just half an hour ago I was pulled over going 77 in 55 in a different city 100 yards from the next county. He seemed like a nice cop but he still wrote me a citation and I had to sign an I-Bond saying something where i agreed that i understand the consequences of failure to appear for trail, and above where i signed it says "Defendant: Your release on this bond does not require posting of cash or securities for bail amount," then the cop wrote 95 in the little box next to that and then wrote it in ut in words. CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT THAT MEANS? I wasn't given a trail date, I was given an envelope with steps to follow for paying teh ticket, The cop said just show up for the court date instead of mailing in money. It's kinda strange. Also this officer screwed up my address number saying I live at 929 instead of 989. i don't know how much the first ticket is going to be until i go to court and the judge figures that out but I'm wondering what this I-bond is and I'm wodering if there's anyway to get out of the ticket because niether the ticket nor the I-bond is issue to my home address. help me and thx for all your answers.
