anybody know any good salmon/trout fishing holes near crouch, Idaho?

    Answer:
most any river close to you is better than rivers the rest of us are close to, you are in idaho after all....... go to either the owyhee over by ontario, or the south fork of the boise, either of those rock. up on the middle fork salmon you won't catch really big fish but you can catch a couple hundred in a day on drys, use a trude royal coachman, you'll tire of catching fish there....or you could drive a ways & go down by SV, or east of SV you get into the many awesome rivers over by west yellowstone, generally the rivers in the southern portion of idaho are better than the mountain rivers of the central or north, the payette falls into this later catagory it's not all that good. all the salmon are either up by riggins or farther up north by orofino, that is usually a combat fishin scene from my worst nightmares.............
