In Greenleaf, Idaho, the City Council is urging people to carry arms...Is this a good idea?
    Question:
GREENLEAF, Idaho (Oct. 12) - Say an earthquake snaps a dam and the full force of the Boise River floods the Treasure Valley, driving untold thousands toward high ground. Or maybe the subdivisions spreading west from Boise finally push big-box, subwoofer, exit-ramp America right up to this plateau of mint and alfalfa fields, where rural lives have passed in peace since Quakers settled a century ago. However humanity’s rush may arrive, a town must prepare. Greenleaf, population 862, is not taking the task lightly. Thus the proposed language for Section 2, Chapter 6, Subsection 2 of the Greenleaf City Code. “Heads of households to maintain firearms,” the heading announces. “In order to provide for the emergency management of the city, and further in order to provide for and protect the safety, security and general welfare of the city and its inhabitants,” the proposal says, “it is recommended that every head of household residing in the city limits maintain a firearm, together with ammunition therefore, and obtain appropriate training relating to proper, safe and lawful handling of firearms.”

    Answer:
In my opinion, firearms would (for the most part) cause more chaos. In an emergency where people need food and water, you'd be giving everyone the ability to go to extreme measures to get those things. Since everyone would have guns (in the city), people would fight each other to get emergency supplies. Then what would become of those who live outside the city limits? Would they starve because people from the city held guns to their heads? I think guns are a very BAD idea.

Idaho's Larry Craig... Yes I'm going to go there... Should he have seeked advice from the Jedi Council?

    Answer:
I denounce the Jedi Council, and am now embracing the dark powers of the dark side.

What are your thoughts the County Commissioner Bills Mexican Government For Illegal Aliens?
    Question:
It will take a few moments to read. Plz read than answer.:-) County Commissioner Bills Mexican Government For Illegal Aliens Caldwell, ID - Thousands of migrant farm workers are here legally but many are here illegally. It was that portion of the migrant labor population that Canyon County Commissioner Robert Vasquez singled out for special attention today suggesting that the Mexican government should reimburse local taxpayers for their expenses. "My fellow American's, constituents, friends and neighbors expect their county commissioner to spend the taxes on services for American's not on illegal alien's healthcare, education or detention." That is why Vasquez today showed off a $2 million bill he is sending to the Mexican consulate in Salt Lake City. Vasquez says Canyon county has tallied up $1.4 million in housing illegal aliens in the county jail, and $575,000 on welfare services for illegal aliens over the last two years. "The reality is we are securing the borders of Iraq but we are not securing the borders of the United States, that is the reality." But officials with the Idaho Migrant Council say Vasquez is missing the point. They say without illegal aliens a lot of the crops here in this country would end up rotting in the ground, according to Dr. Albert Pacheco, the council's director. "They would, because no native born American wants to work for those wages to work for those conditions and I think historically if we look at it America it has been built and has prospered based on illegal immigration." Pacheco also suggests that Vasquez' use of words like "fight" and illegal "invasion" is subtle hate speech. "I think he is trying to pander to the racism and the ignorance that still exists in this country." But at the Canyon County Jail illegal aliens are creating a financial burden according to Canyon County Sheriff George Nourse who is careful to point that many migrants (legal and illegal) are hard working decent people. Still, he says a good number of them end up in his jail funded by local taxpayers. "We had about 1200 illegal aliens go through our jail last year. And it does create a hardship and a burden on the justice system on our courts, the prosecutors office and the Sheriff's office."

    Answer:
i think it's great, mexico should pay for the up keep of their citizens who are here illegally. we're tired of paying for them. there is no racism ther. and our veggies will get picked. americans will work for those wages, the wages will go up and that's what the farmers don't want.

Why did John McCain settle for fluff when he really wanted Ridge?
    Question:
... Here's Palin's resume as it happened: --Governor, state of Alaska: Dec 2006-Present. --Mayor, Wasilla, Alaska (population: 9,780): 1996-2002. --City Council, Wasilla, Alaska: 1992-1996. --University of Idaho; television sports and family fishing business. --Miss Wasilla: 1984 Here's her resume as McCain and his fellow Republicans have been casting and constructing it this week. ...AP

    Answer:
A bit more on the candidates respective pre-state wide government experience: (Chicago Tribune) "Now, the truth is that, starting at age 23, Obama ran a faith-based charity called the Developing Communities Project. It was made up of eight Catholic parishes when he got there and had one staff member. He was its director, meaning he was in charge. He made decisions about it, including staffing, budgets, etc. And when he left in 1988 to go to law school, he had grown its budget from $70,000 to $400,000, its staff from 1 to 13 people. More important, he created a job training program for this community and a college prep tutoring program. As mayor, she built a hockey rink/rec center using eminent domain (because apparently there just isn't enough land in Alaska). And keep in mind the timeline here: Obama did this as a young man BEFORE going to law school, becoming a successful lawyer and a law professor. I don't think it's right to attack someone for working in a faith-based charity out of college. I think we all have some embarrassing first-jobs in our past. I would not make fun of Palin for being a beauty queen and sports reporter out of college during these same years. Although, I do think Obama's experience shaped his political future a bit better ?"...

Why did Palin receive her BA in Journalism from a college that isn't accredited in Journalism? ?
    Question:
Sarah Palin earned a B.A. in journalism from the University of Idaho. The journalism program at Idaho is NOT accredited by the ACEJMC -- American Council for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication. This is her educational credentials for being VP?

    Answer:
You must be young. Otherwise, you would realize that "getting" an education is the most important thing about *having* an education. Everything else is gravy --where you go, how much you paid for college, etc is nothing compared to how much you want to learn and how teachable you are.

Minnesota has been among the top two states since 1990. Vermont is ranked second this year and has consistently moved up in the rankings for the last five years. New Hampshire is number three, followed by Utah, Hawaii and North Dakota. Mississippi is 50th and the least healthy state, while Louisiana is 49th. Tennessee, South Carolina and Arkansas complete the bottom five states. Minnesota is first this year, a position it has held for 10 of the 16 years since the 1990 Edition. Minnesota’s strengths include ranking first for a low rate of cardiovascular deaths, a low premature death rate and a low percentage of uninsured population. It is also in the top five states for a low percentage of children in poverty, a low total mortality rate, a low infant mortality rate, a low occupational fatalities rate, a low rate of motor vehicle deaths and a high rate of high school graduation. Minnesota’s biggest challenges are a high prevalence of smoking at 20.7 percent of the population, a high prevalence of obesity at 22.6 percent of the population and limited access to adequate prenatal care with 75.8 percent of pregnant women receiving adequate prenatal care. Mississippi is 50th this year, down from 49th in the 2004 Edition. It has been in the bottom three states since the 1990 Edition. The state ranks well in all three health policy measures: 8th for access to adequate prenatal care, which is available to 81.8 percent of pregnant women; 11th for per capita public health spending, at $197 per person; and 14th for immunization coverage, with 84.0 percent of children ages 19 to 35 months receiving complete immunizations. It ranks in the bottom five states on nine of the 18 measures: a high premature death rate, a high infant mortality rate, a high total mortality rate, a high rate of cardiovascular deaths, a high percentage of children in poverty, a high prevalence of obesity, a high rate of motor vehicle deaths, a high occupational fatalities rate, and a high number of limited activity days. It also ranks in the bottom 10 states for two other measures. Table 4 lists the score and ranking for each of the 50 states. Scores presented in the tables indicate the percentage a state is above or below the national norm. For example, a state with a score of 20 is 20 percent above the national average for that component. A negative score means the state is below the national average. When comparing states from year to year, differences in score are more important than changes in ranking. Who Really Has The Most Experience?
    Question:
Lets really look at the experience comparison: Obama: B.A in political science from Columbia University, with a specialization in international relations J.D. in Law from Hardvard, graduated magna cum laude; President of the Harvard Law Review 12 years (92-04) teaching constitutional law 7 years State Senator: sponsored more than 800 bills 4 years Senator for Illinos, a state with 12.8 million people Palin: Bachelor's in journalism from University of Idaho 4 years Wasilla City Council (8000 people) 6 years Wasilla mayor (8000 people) 1 year "Ethics Commissioner of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission" 20 months governor of a state with 660,000 people Do the Republicans really think we're so stupid that we would believe she is more experienced than Obama? Give me a break… HTTP://OBAMABIDEN08.me

    Answer:
Palin is easily more qualified. Lets set some of you liberal lies and misinformation straight. Its is nice that Obama has a degree from Columbia and Harvard but it doesn't mean much when you accomplish nothing with them. I mean it is real easy to sponsor 800 bills because all you have to do is basically put your name on them. How many did he actually write? I don't understand how teaching qualifies you for anything but teaching, writing books, and doing research. Also for someone who has a degree you would think he knows that there are only 50 states and you can only be president for two four terms for a total of 8 years. He has been a Senator for only 144 days and most of that time he has been campaigning for president. He has more than 100 "present" votes. He is the chairman of a Senate subcommittee and has yet to call one meeting of that committee. I find it convinent that you forget to mention that he was a community organizer especially when you know that that is one of the main things people point to to show that he is qualified. Could it be you left it out because you know his supervisor admitted that he accomplished nothing?! The number of bills you sponsored and the number of people you represent mean nothing if you get nothing done! Maybe you can educate me and tell specifically what has he accomplished? Palin has real world experience as a former TV reporter. She renogitated the contract between Alaska and the oil industry which sends millions of dollars directly to the Alaska general fund from the oil industry. This renogitated contract also allowed every Alaska resident to receive a $1,200 check last year and this years should be close to $2,000 dollars. What has Obama accomplished?! She negotiated to have a natural gas pipeline built from Alaska to Canada where it will then be put on ships and sent to the US. She did this without one cent of federal money. Even T Boone Pickens says that natural gas is a good first step in becoming energy independent. Again I ask what has Obama accomplished? Oh that's right he told us to inflate our tires and get tuneups. Time for you and other Obama supporters to leave the fantasy world you live in and look at facts not fantasy.

Is our nation being put at risk by the possibility of Gov. Palin having to take over the Presidency?
    Question:
Here are her bona fides: Bachelor's in journalism from University of Idaho 4 years Wasilla City Council 6 years Wasilla mayor 1 year "Ethics Commissioner of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission" 20 months governor of a state with 660,000 people I understand a lot of you believe that her credentials are equal to Obama's. Let's examine that, here are his bona fides: B.A. political science Columbia University, specialization in international relations J.D. in Law from Harvard, magna c um laude President, Harvard Law Review 7 years Illinois State Senator 4 years U.S. Senator Obama has been deeply schooled in foreign issues and national issues since he entered the U.S. Senate. Palin has not, at all. Why are her lack of relevant political credentials not something that worries Republicans? I am mystified as to why it doesn't concern them, when Gov. Palin clearly is not prepared for extreme situations that may occur as Fate allows. CAN YOU PLEASE ANSWER THIS SEROUS QUESTION WITHOUT HITTING THE ABUSE BUTTON JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE IT? THAT WOULD BE WONDERFUL IF WE COULD MANAGE TO HONOR EVERYONE'S FREE SPEECH. Linda: Your generalizations are useless. Who cares about executive experience when it's at a minimum and she knows NOTHING about national and foreign affairs? You guys keep saying she's over the National Guard like that is something special. ALL governors are commanders in chief over their National Guard. I've yet to hear one reason why this should even be mentioned as something special. Did she do something noteworthy regarding the National Guard? Unless she did, it's just stupid to mention it like it's something special. roadhazz: Making snide, and I'm sure you think clever, remarks about lawyers and stuffed shirts doesn't change a thing about Sarah Palin. She's completely and totally unprepared to lead this country if necessary. Just the fact that you couldn't even defend her, just downgrade Obama, tells us all we need to know. At least Obama has had experience on a national level in legislation and has been deeply schooled for the last three years on foreign policy. Are you really going to pretend that means nothing at all? Pathetic. Kim: you are completely full of b.s. and just repeating talking points that make no sense. So what if she has executive experience? So does my Aunt Polly, but she isn't fit either for the job of VP. She does NOT have more political experience than Obama. Unless you cannot read then you must be deliberately blind to their political accomplishments and involvements. Stop sticking your head in the sand and listening to talking points from pundits. Look at the reality of it. She isn't any more prepared to be VP than my cat. Sassy: What a load of bull dung. Please stop pretending that all Obama did as state senator/u.s. senator was name post offices and holidays. As far as ACORN, at least Obama himself is not under investigation as Palin is. I can't believe you even brought that up considering the fact that she is under investigation for her OWN actions. Obama didn't get into college under affirmative action. He was intelligent enough to earn a scholarship. Not like Sarah, who went to 4 different schools before ending up with a journalism degree. He has never admitted to being a Muslim because HE ISN'T ONE. lol you people are something else You know very well he was referring to the 57 primaries which including territories of the U.S., but keep pretending if it floats your boat. It's actually disturbing that people like yourself make something out of nothing when it comes to Sarah Palin and nothing out of something when it comes to Obama. Ridiculous GO HILLARY: If you can look at Sarah Palin, her empty politically irrelevant resume, and her stand on the issues - of which she is diametrically opposed to everything Hillary stands for - and choose her over Obama because of some vague problem with Obama's aloofness? Then we have just parted ways. Honestly, after seeing you in here for 2 years and respecting you deeply, I am appalled that it seems you are willing to ignore that Palin is laughably unsuitable to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency just because you don't happen to like Obama and obviously are still in a fit of pique over Hillary. Vote against your own interests, and against everything Hillary stood for if you have to. I refuse to cut off my nose to spite my face and put my country in jeopardy should this know nothing have to take over for McCain. Seriously. I am beyond disappointed in you "Go Hillary"

    Answer:
Absolutely. It is obvious that Palin was not chosen over the other contenders due to her ability to lead the nation better than her rivals for the VP slot.

Just like most Republican during the past 8 yrs have been lying Someone who is in office doesn’t know the Law and didn’t seek council? That has guilty all over it!!! I'm sure he would say that he interpreted 'gay' as in happy jolly fellow so since he had been arrested clearly he was not 'gay'.

    Isn't this ridiculous! ?
    Question:
That the Democraps are complaining about Sarah Palin having no experience and yet Obama has LESS!!! They don't like what she represents:Palin was born Sarah Louise Heath in Sandpoint, Idaho, the daughter of Sarah Heath (née Sheeran), a school secretary, and Charles R. Heath, a science teacher and track coach. She is of English, Irish, and German ancestry. Her family moved to Alaska when she was an infant She and her father would sometimes wake at 3 a.m. to hunt moose before school, and the family regularly ran 5K and 10K races. Palin attended Wasilla High School in Wasilla, Alaska, where she was the head of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter at the school and the point guard and captain of the school's basketball team. She helped the team win the Alaska small-school basketball championship in 1982, hitting a critical free throw in the last seconds of the game, despite having an ankle stress fracture at the time. She earned the nickname "Sarah Barracuda" because of her intense play and was the leader of team prayer before games. In 1984, Palin won the Miss Wasilla beauty contest, then finished second in the Miss Alaska pageant, at which she won a college scholarship. In the Wasilla pageant, she played the flute and won "Miss Congeniality". Palin attended Hawaii Pacific College in Hilo, Hawaii, in 1982 for a semester, where she majored in Business Administration, and transferred in 1983 to North Idaho College. In 1987, Palin received a Bachelor of Science degree in communications-journalism from the University of Idaho, where she also minored in political science. Palin briefly worked in broadcasting as a sports reporter for local Anchorage television stations and with her husband in commercial fishing. She then started her run for political office starting with the City Council and working her way to Governor......NOW....what did Obama do? Stapled some posters to a telephone pole?

    Answer:
I think it is more ridiculous that they are criticizing her for going back to work after giving birth. Apparently only Dem mom's are allowed to do that. GOP moms are to stay home with their babies. I guess the Dems think that GOP dads cannot handle child care.

The last couple of days there has been a lot of attention to Sarah Palin family. What do you think?
    Question:
Here’s a little background on Sarah Palin… She was born Sarah Louise Heath in Sandpoint, Idaho, third of four children of Sarah Heath, a school secretary, and Charles R. Heath, a science teacher and track coach. Her family moved to Alaska when she was an infant. As a child, she would sometimes go moose hunting with her father before school, and the family regularly ran 5K and 10K races. She attended Hawaii Pacific College in Honolulu for a semester in 1982, majoring in Business Administration. She transferred in 1983 to North Idaho Colleg. In 1987, Palin received a Bachelor of Science degree in communications-journalism, with a minor in political science. In 1988, she worked briefly as a sports reporter for an Anchorage, Alaska (KTUU-TV). She has also participated in her husband’s family commercial fishing business. Palin served two terms on city council (1992-1996) and two as manor (1996-2002) of a small town, Wasilla Alaska. Then after running unsuccessful for Lieutenant governor (2002), she chaired the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, while serving as Ethics Supervisor of the commission (2003-2004). Then in 2006, she was elected governor Alaska, the first woman and youngest person to hold that office. She defeated an incumbent governor in the primary and former governor in the general election. Okay, sure Sarah Palin has five children, and her seventeen-year-old daughter is pregnant daughter. Horrible, isn’t it? I’m sure that doesn’t happen much in modern America, let a lone the world. But what would you think of a politician (married, with children) whose father made his fortune bootlegging, that while intoxicated, drove into a creek, then then disappeared while his lady friend died in his car? It’s hard to spell Chappaquiddick isn’t it? But I don’t want to too hard on good old Ted… How another politician, an omitted (former) Cocaine user, with a close relationship to Bill Ayers (the leader of the Weather Underground Organization), who gave almost a million dollars to his cousin (Raila Uding) that is now in a Kenyan prison for election rigging, whose first major financial contributors was Antoin "Tony" Rezko (also in prison), and whose father was a polygamist-alcoholic. I don’t want to too hard on this guy either, but it’s hard to spell his (entire) name isn’t it? I’m sure glad the national media is exposing all of political candidate’s dirty little secrets…

    what did I do wrong?
    Question:
first I want to thank nicole w for help.I used to think i was a loser, because my family who is high class would go out of their way to do anything that would make our poor family look bad.like creating stories that where never true or turning nothing into something negative.over the years i tried to show them that i'm alright, but they tried harder to talk us down.i dont resemble a pretty boy or seem to fit their profile of a nice guy.im not an a$$hole or trouble by allmeans.i dont have an easy time finding jobs and from the rougher side of town so to speak.they are part of city council and some are detective and others runnig for a senate position in idaho.to them i would be best out of town.im not a criminal in any way i dont share their interest.they love to see me strugle and only call when hey want me to do cheap labor or try to pry information out of me so they can turn it into drama.is being poor and no real desire to be rich realy that bad?why are they afraid of me so much. if any one sees nicole w remember she went the extra mile to answer questions and keep in contact to make sure i personaly was alright.Thank you nicole w

    Answer:
Being rich is just a luxury some people can't afford. . . and i don't believe that if you're not rich your poor you're just not as well off. . . anyways. . .it's better to be humble and modest and "poor" like yourself than to be rich and look down on others. . . they aren't afraid of you you're just a target cuz you're different and special. .. Wherever you go. . . you'll be different from other people and that's one BIG thing that makes you a target for other people to aim for. . . so you have to hold you head up high and i know you pray to God but pray to him to forgive your relatives for not knowing what they are doing. . . remember when well i'm not sure if you know about this but it's something like when someone hits you across the face then turn you cheek to let them go again? well don't fight back w/ the people who try to strike you down because that just makes you as bad as they are.

I'm sorry? But Miss Alaska (runner up) is going to be McCains' running mate????
    Question:
Palin was born in Idaho and raised in Alaska. In 1984, she was the runner-up in the Miss Alaska pageant, receiving a scholarship that allowed her to attend the University of Idaho, where she received a degree in journalism. After working as a sports reporter at an Anchorage television station, Palin served two terms on the Wasilla, Alaska, City Council from 1992 to 1996, was elected mayor of Wasilla (population 5,470 in 2000) in 1996, and ran unsuccessfully for Lieutenant Governor in 2002. Palin was elected Governor of Alaska in 2006 on the theme of governmental reform, defeating incumbent governor Frank Murkowski in the Republican primary and former Democratic Alaskan governor Tony Knowles in the general election. She gained attention for publicizing ethical violations by state Republican Party leaders.[2] Seriously?? We are ok with this nice enough woman who has led the "vast and sparsely populated state of Alaska" for a mere 2 years and 2 years before that leading a city?? Really? If MCcain dies in office, this is who we want making all Presidential decisions???

    Answer:
I believe it will ultimately be the Republicans who are sorry.

Why can't Palin give a decent interview when she got her degree in COMMUNICATIONS?
    Question:
I mean I know it took her 6 years to get her BACHELOR'S from the U of IDAHO. And she has no higher education than a bachelor's and no education in legislation which is highly unusual, but since she did major in COMMUNICATIONS. Why does she sound like a complete moron everytime she speaks and now they won't let her give any interviews because of it? I mean if that's her main education (communication) and yet she is terrible at it, how can anyone vote for a ticket with her just a heartbeat away from the presidency? Anyone? Here are some of my favorites with sources: “I’ll try to find you some and I’ll bring them to you.” –Sarah Palin, asked by Katie Couric to cite specific examples of how John McCain has pushed for more regulation in his 26 years in the Senate, CBS interview, Sept. 24, 2008 “Well, it certainly does because our — our next door neighbors are foreign countries. They’re in the state that I am the executive of. And there in Russia … We have trade missions back and forth. We– we do– it’s very important when you consider even national security issues with Russia as Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where– where do they go? It’s Alaska. It’s just right over the border. It is– from Alaska that we send those out to make sure that an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia, because they are right there. They are right next to– to our state.” –Sarah Palin, asked by Katie Couric how Alaska’s proximity to Russia gives her foreign policy experience, CBS interview, Sept. 24, 2008 “That’s exactly what we’re going to do in a Palin and McCain administration.” –Sarah Palin, elevating herself to the top of the ticket, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Sept. 18, 2008 “I’m the mayor, I can do whatever I want until the courts tell me I can’t.’” –Sarah Palin, as quoted by former City Council Member Nick Carney, after he raised objections about the $50,000 she spent renovating the mayor’s office without approval of the city council “I watched with the volume all the way down. I thought it was hilarious. I thought she was spot on. … It was hilarious. Again, didn’t hear a word she said, but the visual, spot on.” –Sarah Palin, on Tina Fey’s “SNL” skit interview on FOX News’s “Hannity & Colmes,” Sept. 17, 2008 “Oil and coal? Of course, it’s a fungible commodity and they don’t flag, you know, the molecules, where it’s going and where it’s not. But in the sense of the Congress today, they know that there are very, very hungry domestic markets that need that oil first. So, I believe that what Congress is going to do, also, is not to allow the export bans to such a degree that it’s Americans that get stuck to holding the bag without the energy source that is produced here, pumped here. It’s got to flow into our domestic markets first.” –Sarah Palin, billed by John McCain as the nation’s foremost expert on energy, clumsily answering a question while speaking off the cuff at a town hall meeting, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Sept. 17, 2008 “The fact is that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have gotten too big and too expensive to the taxpayers.” –Sarah Palin, on the two companies which are in fact private entities, Colorado Springs, CO, Sept. 13, 2008 “They’re our next door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska.” –Sarah Palin, on her foreign policy insights into Russia, ABC News interview, Sept. 11, 2008 “Nucular.” –Sarah Palin, mispronouncing the word “nuclear” twice, ABC News interview, Sept. 11, 2008 “Perhaps so.” –Sarah Palin, when asked if we may need to go to war with Russia because of the Georgia crisis, ABC News interview, Sept. 11, 2008 “I have not, and I think if you go back in history and if you ask that question of many vice presidents, they may have the same answer that I just gave you.” –Sarah Palin, after being asked if she had never met a foreign head of state, despite the fact that every vice president in the last 32 years had met a foreign head of state prior to taking office, ABC News interview, Sept. 11, 2008 “In what respect, Charlie?” –Sarah Palin, after being asked if she agreed with the Bush Doctrine, ABC News interview, Sept. 11, 2008 “Let me speak specifically about a credential that I do bring to this table, Charlie, and that’s with the energy independence that I’ve been working on for these years as the governor of this state that produces nearly 20 percent of the U.S. domestic supply of energy.” –Sarah Palin, misstating the actual amount of energy produced by Alaska, which is only 3.5 percent, Sept. 11, 2008 “You’ll be there to defend the innocents from the enemies who planned and carried out and rejoiced in the deaths of thousands of Americans.” –Sarah Palin, linking the Iraq war the 9/11 attacks while addressing U.S. soldiers shipping off to Iraq, Fairbanks, Alaska, Sept. 11, 2008 “I told the Congress, ‘Thanks, but no thanks,’ on that Bridge to Nowhere

    Answer:
Her apparent lack of mental power is frightening. Your question adds to concern, because she has experience dealing with media so it isn't stage fright. A high percentage of high school seniors could do an equal interview job, and have seen number of high school debaters that would never say one thing and within few words say something that does not agree. Personally assuming that most older females must be turned off by her Madeline Monroe ding bat mannerisms.

Has a Mormon Missionary ever been arrested and Ex-Communicated while on a Mission ?
    Question:
SAN LUIS, Colo. - A Mormon church official says he is "mortified" by allegations that three young missionaries vandalized a Catholic shrine in the San Luis Valley of southern Colorado. The Sangre de Cristo Parish Council has asked authorities to file charges. The names of the three missionaries, ages 19 and 20, have not been released. Photos posted on the Internet showed a man holding a head broken off a statue in the shrine. Others show a man appearing to preach from the Book of Mormon in the shrine and one man pretending to sacrifice another at an altar. By MATT HILDNER THE PUEBLO CHIEFTAIN SAN LUIS - Officials of the Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church here may decide today whether to file charges against three Mormon missionaries in the 2006 vandalism of a local shrine. Church members earlier this week found Internet photos that showed them vandalizing the Shrine of the Mexican Martyrs in 2006 and mocking the Roman Catholic faith. A regional missionary official for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has acknowledged the men depicted in the photos were missionaries working in the San Luis Valley that year, and said the church would discipline the men. He would not, however, identify them. Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church members discovered a Web photo Thursday that showed an LDS missionary holding the severed head of a statue at the shrine, which sits next to the Stations of the Cross on a mesa 5 hours ago above town. Townspeople since found the head had been placed back on the statue. Other photos, also posted on the Photobucket Web site, but removed after Thursday, depicted another missionary who appeared to preach from the Book of Mormon inside the Chapel of All Saints. He did confirm, however, that the three in the pictures were church missionaries, who at the time were serving in the towns of Manassa and Sanford. "We're just mortified this has happened. This is not what we're about," he said. He said the three, who come from California, Idaho and Nevada, would face restrictions on their church memberships, although he decl 5 hours ago declined to discuss the nature of the restrictions. Fotheringham met with Valdez and other community members Friday morning and presented them with a written apology from one of the missionaries, signed by an R. Thompson. "I realize that my companions and I have made a mockery of that which is most sacred to many of the residents of San Luis and the rest of the world. I should have known better because I have seen many of the same types of blasphemies made against my own church and I have been appalled," the statement said. Frotheringham said Mormon missionaries are trained in church doctrine before they depart on their missions, but they don't receive special instructions about the areas where they will be stationed. Answer:
Yes, missionaries have been arrested before. Even more than the arrests are those who are sent home early for misrepresenting the Church by their behavior. Being a missionary is not a joke. Those who make a mockery of it are removed from the service and can be excommunicated from the faith. Desecrating a shrine is just a horrible thing. Those boys will get what's coming to them.

Palin having more experience than Obama?
    Question:
I keep on noticing that many Palin supporters are saying that she has more experience than Obama. Can you back this up with sources, reputable links and facts please... because I have read both of their biographies and it seems like Palin's resume doesn't even compare. Am I missing something here? Sarah Palin: -Graduated from the University of Idaho in 1987 with a bachelor's degree in communications (attended 5 different university's and junior colleges in the meantime) -1989-1992 worked as a sports reporter for KTUU-TV and KTVA-TV -1992-1995 Wasilla, AK city council (then population of approx 6,000 people) -1996-2008 Wasilla, AK mayor - late 2003-2004- Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission - 2006-current -Governor of Alaska Barack Obama: -1983 graduated with a BA from Columbia -1984 worked for a year at the Business International Corporation and then at the New York Public Interest Research Group -1985 -1989 worked as a community organizer in the south side of chicago (population of 2,836,658) - 1988-1991- Attended Harvard Law and graduate in `91 with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) magna cum laude - Directed the project vote in 1992 -Beginning in 1992, Obama taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School for twelve years -1993, joined Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland, a twelve attorney law firm specializing in civil rights litigation and neighborhood economic development, where he was an associate for three years from 1993 to 1996 -He served from 1993 to 2002 on the board of directors of the Woods Fund of Chicago -State legislator, 1997–2004 -U.S. Senator, from 2005-current If anyone can give me something that I left out, please do so. Im comparing a VP to a Pres because everyone else is and I'm trying to prove a point here, not to mention she is a heartbeat away from becoming president, so yes I think it's paramount (as Sarah would say) to look deep into her resume

    Answer:
Don't forget what he has done in the Illinois and U.S. Senates: -Obama passed legislation with Republican Senator Jim Talent to give gas stations a tax credit for installing E85 ethanol refueling pumps. The tax credit covers 30 percent of the costs of switching one or more traditional petroleum pumps to E85, which is an 85 percent ethanol/15 percent gasoline blend. -After a number of inmates on death row were found innocent, Senator Obama worked with law enforcement officials to require the videotaping of interrogations and confessions in all capital cases. -His first law was passed with Republican Tom Coburn, a measure to rebuild trust in government by allowing every American to go online and see how and where every dime of their tax dollars is spent. -Obama created the Illinois Earned Income Tax Credit for low-income working families in 2000 and successfully sponsored a measure to make the credit permanent in 2003. The law offered about $105 million in tax relief over three years. -Obama joined forces with former U.S. Sen. Paul Simon (D-IL) to pass the toughest campaign finance law in Illinois history. The legislation banned the personal use of campaign money by Illinois legislators and banned gifts from lobbyists. Before the law was passed, one organization ranked Illinois worst among 50 states for its campaign finance regulations. -As a member of the Veterans' Affairs Committee, Senator Obama has fought to help Illinois veterans get the disability pay they were promised, while working to prepare the VA for the return of the thousands of veterans who will need care after Iraq and Afghanistan. -He traveled to Russia with Republican Dick Lugar to begin a new generation of non-proliferation efforts designed to find and secure deadly weapons around the world. -Obama has been a leading advocate for protecting the right to vote, helping to reauthorize the Voting Rights Act and leading the opposition against discriminatory barriers to voting. - In the U.S. Senate, Obama introduced the STOP FRAUD Act to increase penalties for mortgage fraud and provide more protections for low-income homebuyers, well before the current subprime crisis began. -Obama sponsored legislation to combat predatory payday loans, and he also was credited with lobbied the state to more closely regulate some of the most egregious predatory lending practices. -Barack Obama introduced the Patriot Employer Act of 2007 to provide a tax credit to companies that maintain or increase the number of full-time workers in America relative to those outside the US; maintain their corporate headquarters in America; pay decent wages; prepare workers for retirement; provide health insurance; and support employees who serve in the military. -Obama worked to pass a number of laws in Illinois and Washington to improve the health of women. His accomplishments include creating a task force on cervical cancer, providing greater access to breast and cervical cancer screenings, and helping improve prenatal and premature birth services. -Obama has introduced and helped pass bipartisan legislation to limit the abuse of no-bid federal contracts. -Obama and Senator Feingold (D-WI) took on both parties and proposed ethics legislation that was described as the "gold standard" for reform. It was because of their leadership that ending subsidized corporate jet travel, mandating disclosure of lobbyists' bundling of contributions, and enacting strong new restrictions of lobbyist-sponsored trips became part of the final ethics bill that was signed into law.
