City DescriptionCaldwell is a city in and the county seat of Canyon County, Idaho, United States. The population was 37,056 as of 2008.
Caldwell is the home of the College of Idaho. It is considered part of the Boise metropolitan area.
Caldwell is located at 43°39′30″N, 116°40′49″W (43.658239, -116.680390).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 11.4 sq mi. 11.3 sq mi of it is land and 0.09% is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 25,067 people, 8,963 households, and 6,354 families residing in the city. The population density was 2,289.3/sq mi. There were 9,603 housing units at an average density of 846.6/sq mi. The racial makeup of the city was 75.07% White, 0.47% African American, 0.94% Native American, 0.83% Asian, 0.10% Pacific Islander, 19.68% from other races, and 2.91% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 28.14% of the population.

A survival action, unlike a wrongful death action, is not a new cause of action. Where death is caused by negligence, both a survival action and a wrongful death action may be brought.
This is something you will need to do through an attorney. If there is an attorney involved in the settlement of your mother's estate, he would be the first person to contact. If there is no attorney involved, the personal representative and family members should engage the services of a competent personal injury attorney. The personal injury attorney will generally handle the action on a contingent fee basis.

If you can drive to Nampa/Meridian/Boise...it's not that far. There are movie theaters, museums, a zoo. Roaring Springs a water park, Boondocks which has mini-golf, go carts.
You can go to Lake Lowell, an irrigation reservoir that many people boat and fish in. Also Lucky Peak Lake.
You can float the Boise River if the water is low enough.

where can I get a free working washer in caldwell Idaho?

Not sure but I know a place you can ask. You can join the yahoo freecycle group in Caldwell. There are also a couple of other yahoo groups that recycle items in the Caldwell area. Membership is required though.
If that doesn't work, you might want to check area thrift stores to see if you can find one that works for cheap. Or you can use a neighbor's washer in exchange for other services (like free babysitting or running their errands for them).

Where in the Caldwell/Nampa-Boise, Idaho area can I find a place to get married outdoors?

Okay, I'm not the one getting married. Its my Cousin and his Girlfriend. They are planning a late May/ early June Wedding in the Caldwell/Nampa-Boise area. They are having a tough time finding a place that would suite there needs. A lot of places they have looked at have restrictions on how late they can stay and the no booze rule. They want to be married outdoors, have the option to stay late and be able to drink alcohol. Current plans are to have at least 170 guest. The bride to be is getting stressed over this. So I offered to try and help, by asking on here.
They are wanting to look at the "Ste. Chapelle Winery" in Caldwell as a possible location of the wedding. What can anyone tell us about this location? Or are there any locations like it in the same area?

Do all MLS Real Estate listings include Tax Assessor information?

When a Real Estate Agent adds a listing to the MLS, does the MLS service provide the same services and the same types of data? And do all MLS services generate the same type of MLS Listing in each area of the country?
Does a listing in Caldwell Idaho have the same infortmation as a listing in Reston, Virginia? Specifically the Tax Roll info?
And does each MLS operate under it's own rules in regards to how the ONLINE MLS data for that "County" (or however MLS chapters are defined) is aggregated and displayed?

Each MLS system is different in the information offered, although there is a core of traditional information that most include.
In Venice, Florida, the tax and owner information pulls up from the County. We don't enter it manually.
And, of course, County information was entered by human hands, and people can make mistakes, but usually it's accurate, at the instant it was pulled.
If the property has been on the MLS past the period of time when the local County tax folks update for the new tax year, that new information will not automatically appear on the old MLS listing.
I always suggest that buyers do the research with the County - or ask a realtor - about the local millage figures so they can make an informed decision about what their new tax bill might be, but it's difficult to pin point it exactly because the County may not use the sales price as the fair market value. They have their own appraisers that establish that, based on comps on record at the time the appraisal is completed (early in the calendar year).
Plus there is the homestead/no homestead factor.
But you can certainly get a rough and ready estimate using the sales price and the current millage numbers. Most times that will be higher than your eventual tax bill - yay!

Sandpoint, Idaho is up in the north and is a great place to raise kids, plus they have an excellent ski resort just outside town called Sweitzer. Then in the summer there is a Hugh lake for boating, swimming and such.

Has anyone ever heard of Canyon College?

Canyon College is an online college based in Caldwell, Idaho. They offer bachelor's degrees in Social Work, my dream major, but they are not a title four school, therefore do not offer financial aid. Has anyone heard of it? Or heard that it's a rip off??? I'd really like to know, because I really want my degree!!! Thanks.

They are a degree mill. They are not accredited by any real accrediting body. Your social work degree will be useless and worthless as it is not accredited by CSWE. You will not be eligible for MSW programs and licensure. Do not waste your money. Though there are no fully online BSW programs at the moment you should find a number of programs that offer some of their courses online. DA

Oh, please don't. My husband and I along with a thousand other people are trying DESPERATELY to get pregnant or adopt. With infertility at an alarmingly high rate consider this an opportunity to bless some family's life with a child or give some child a new brother or sister. If you do choose adoption, most adoptive parents (if not all in private adoptions) will pay for all your medical expenses as well as taking care of partial living expenses such as rent, food bills, time away from work, I mean EVERYTHING!
