Confusion! Idaho, or Washington....where does Garnet live? Question: It's been brought to my attention that my answers have become confusing. I state that I live in Idaho, near Blackfoot, high mountain desert, 4700+ feet elivation. Yet I have started to answer as though I'm in Washington State, at sea level, in the Pacific Northwest.
Hubby and I DO live in Idaho. However we have decided to move back to the farm in Washington. I am very excited about the move, as there is not place I like better on earth, than the farm in WA ( have lived there before). So my answers are sometimes coming from either point of view...the farm in Idhao, or the farm in Washington....so confusion for people who read my answers frequently.
So this question does not get deleted for chatting, I will now take comments/advice on moving a circus....that is 70+ goats, 5 horses, 5 working farm dogs, 2 cats, 12 farm vehicles including tractors and a bulldozer, and to top it all off one personal library which has thus far filled 51 boxes (I'm not done packing books!).
Of course advice on the move should be as green as possible, with the ideas. I already checked out the idea of having equipment shipped by train. The prices were SHOCKINGLY high....even higher than paying a trucking service, with the current high fuel prices!
Answer:
I wish you the best of luck.
Label each box carefully!!!!
I was furious at my husband for labeling MANY boxes 'lerpdeshuch' instead of what was actually in there! (I told him to label and he thought he would be funny!)
Don't try to make the move while 3 months pregnant, have food poisoning, and a small dog with 2 broken legs (trust me - I tried it - NOT FUN!)
Lots of good music.
Last packed should be first out. (Necessities)
So, do they make packing boxes for goats?

What happens if you leave an Idaho State mental hospital w/out permission and you've been placed on a "hold"? Question: My friend voluntarily checked into a hospital with symptoms of depression and had suicidal thoughts, therefore, he was place on a "hold". He was in this hospital for 5 weeks and felt better than ever. He was then transfered to Blackfoot State Hospital in Idaho and has been there for a week. He's not seen a Dr. nor has he been evaluated. The place is extremely dangerous as well as full of extremely ill patients. He wants to leave but we don't know what type of crime this would be or what his rights are. Also, we would like to know what type of Attorney would handle a case such as this. The irony of it all is that he himself is a Psychologist.
Answer:
A "hold" is only for the first 72 hours, beyond that he has to be committed to hold him against his will. As a volunteer admission he can go AMA whenever he pleases, but his insurance probably won't pay the bill.

Blackfeet vs. Blackfoot Indian? Question: I am trying to get verified as a descent of a Native American, and my grandmother says we are of Blackfoot descent. Now is there a difference between Blackfoot and Blackfeet tribes? Only Blackfeet is federally recognized but both are in the same Idaho-Wyoming-Montana area.
Answer:
The are indeed one in the same....The Blackfoot Confederacy is the name given to four Native American tribes in the Northwestern Plains, which include the North Peigan the South Peigan, the Blood, and the Siksika tribes. In the beginning they occupied a large territory stretching from the North Saskatchewan River in Canada to the Missouri River in Montana.
During the early part of the 1800's, the Blackfoot had an estimated population of approximately 20,000 people. However, the diseases brought on by the white settlers, including small pox and measles, along with starvation and war reduced their number to less than 5,000 by the turn of the century. In the face of these adversities, the Blackfoot have not lost their culture or their language. Today, there are approximately 25,000 Blackfoot members. The Piegan Blackfeet are located on the Blackfeet Nation in northwestern Montana near Browning. The other three tribes are primarily located in Alberta, Canada.

Where a lot of people get mixed up is that tribes in the Southeastern part of the United States referred to 2 particular tribes as blackfeet because of the way they cleared land using the slash and burn method, then after they walked through this cleared land their feet were black. When people refer to the Blackfeet of Virginia they are actually talking about the Saponi and the Tutelo. This has confused a lot of people doing research into their Native ancestry...
If you are looking for help in tracing Native Ancestry you might try this group...

Answer:
It's a classic Nigerian 419 Scam. Don't give money, there is no woman, just a bunch of mobsters using somebody else's photo and a made-up name. Please see these sites:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advance_fee_fraud
http://en .wikipedia.org/wiki/Romance_scam
quote:
----------------
Rom ance scams have become the natural successor of advance fee fraud activities, because many people in the West are much more aware of the typical 419 type scam; the returns are a lot better with romance scams which are relatively unknown and appeal to love and romance rather than greed. The romance scammers can make more money by skimming smaller amounts from thousands of victims rather than one large sum from very few victims. So, instead of milking $30,000 from one victim in a 'normal' 419 scam, romance scammers find it much easier to make $1,500 from 20 victims. The US State Department reported in 2004 that Nigerian email scam constituted the biggest consumer fraud threat on the internet

Your oppinion on this awesomeness? Question: Tell me what you think of the idea. And what you would change.
We have a kewl boat. It has 3 bedrooms in it. I was thinking I should throw an "End of Summer" party in it. It wouldn't be a lot of people. Probably just like 6-13 We could go to the lake and stay overnight. My friend's dad won't let her go with out him there so I was thinking he could drive the boat. I would have loud music, good food, and catering. All on a boat! We could go tubing, swimming, water skiing, wakeboarding, and other water sports. Later (when it's too dark to do all that) we can just dance and party and have a good time. We have showers and bathrooms and a kitchen and all that so that's something we don't need to wory about. I'm stoked. But I want your oppinion.
If I did, it would be the FIRST boat party EVER in our town as far as I know.
Please I want your oppions thanX.
