Questions Possibly Related to Bishop, GeorgiaProvided By Y! Answers
Has anyone heard about the bishop who tried to kill his wife? Question: I did not say the bishop who tried to beat his wife because that would be a lie. If I continuously choke you then push to the ground punching, stomping, and choking, I am trying to kill you. Had the bellman not stopped it, he would have succeeded. What gets me is that everyone talks as if it should be swept under the rug. This is not a church thing. This is not a forgiveness thing. This is not a repentance thing. THIS IS A CRIME, and I hope Georgia gives him prison time. I am a Christian, and I am tired of all of this abuse in the name of Jesus. Pastors are raping and beating the hell of children and women only to return and act as if nothing has happened. In this case, the bishop preached on Sunday as if nothing happened. Because his attack was so vicious, he should at least get a few years to deal with his problem in prsion. There, he will find Jesus in a way that he should have years ago. If the church will not hold itself responsible, THE LAW WILL!!
Answer:
The church won't hold him responsible but you can rest easy in the knowledge that God will. It will be so much worse for him because he is supposed to be a teacher and a shepherd.

Is it about time this came out? Some Jehovah's Witnesses want more than to leave Watchtowers ? Question: Towns where Alleged Jehovah's Witness Child molesters have been reported to silentlambs
Home
Listed by each state
If you would to add a new listing contact silentlambs at info@silentlambs.org
The list below is designed to alert you to a possible danger in your community. Over the course of the last four years silentlambs has been a repository of reports on alleged Jehovah's Witness child molesters. Victims have reported extensively on times, dates and places abuse occurred. We have wrestled with how to alert the public as well as members that may be in congregations where abusers have been reported.
We offer the following suggestions if you as a Jehovah's Witness are in a town/congregation where a report has been made.
Do not allow your children to be alone with anyone in the congregation.
Escort your children to the bathroom during meetings and make sure no else is with them when using facilities.
Never allow your children to be alone in the car with anyone while in field service.
Do not allow any member to study with your child alone.
Avoid camping trips in which children go as a group with one or two adults.
Avoid baby sitters that are adult males.
At a get together watch your children and keep them in sight at all times.
Ask elders directly if they know of any abusers in your congregation, use specific names and note their reaction. They will not tell you directly but indirectly you can often figure out who it is. If one elder is less cooperative talk to another till you find out enough information to know the facts.
Check the local sex offender list in your area, type in the name of every person in your congregation to see if any are listed.
Notice any male member of the congregation that does not have privileges such as microphone or other duties around the congregation, especially if for a long period of time. They can offer talks on the TMS or sermons Service Meeting but are not allowed to conduct meetings. (This is only in case of a confessed child molester)
Note any member of the congregation that has children with sever rebellion or emotional problems.
Do not allow your children to have sleepovers with anyone.
Note members that the elders avoid having around their children.
If you are a member of the public and your community is on the list take the following steps to protect your family.
If Jehovah's Witnesses call at your home never allow them in your home
If you do not wish Jehovah's Witnesses to call at your home purchase a no trespassing sign and place it near your door. JW's are instructing to only respect "no trespassing" signs any other variation will be ignored.
If you do not wish Jehovah's Witnesses to call you can also call the local number and ask to be placed on the "do not call" list. They will note your home and check about once a year to make sure you wish to remain on the list.
If you choose to study with Jehovah's Witnesses do so at a neutral location such as the local Kingdom Hall or in a public place.
Never allow your child to be alone with members or their children.
If you choose to attend meetings with Jehovah's Witnesses then we suggest you follow the guidelines above for members.
Remember that most members are not aware of who the molesters are in their congregation according to church policy. They do not know.
If two Jehovah's Witnesses call at your door one could be a child molester. According to church guidelines all confessed child molesters are required to have a partner when going door to door. If two Jehovah's Witnesses appear at your door you might wish to ask if one or both are child molesters for peace of mind. Of course keep in mind if the person is an accused child molester they are allowed to work alone in the door to door work.
We hope this information is helpful and assists with the ultimate goal of silentlambs, protecting children. Check back as the list is updated on a regular basis.

Well iv'e been to Alabama people
Ain't a whole lot to see
Skynard says"it's a real sweet home"
But it ain't nothing to me
Charlie Daniels i tell the good lord
Lives in Tennessee,Ha
But i'm goiing back to the gator country
Where the wine and the women are free
There's a gator in the bushes,he's calling my name
And i say
Come on boy we'd better make it home again
Gator loves to travel, they all kinda look the same
There's a gator in the bushes, lord he's calling my name
Old Richard Betts will tell you lord
He was born a ramblin man
Well he can ramble on back to Georgia
And i won't give a damn
Elvin Bishop out struttin his stuff
With little miss slick titty boo
But i'm going back to the gator country
And i get me some elbow room
There's a gator in the bushes,he's calling my name
And i say
Come on boy, you'd better make it back home again
Gator loves to travel, they all kinda look the same

Which book should i read?
Answer:
OK, I didn't even read your question 'cause it was just too long.
I would recommend anything by Nicholas Sparks. He's a great author; a very vivid writer. You really get into the characters and into the story,
Have fun!

Quotes concerning the sanctity of marriage and the effects of altering the definition on children and society? Question: Does anyone know what these quotes about marriage are about? What kind of "unions" are they talking about?
"This so-called ‘marriage’ is repulsive and averse to every sentiment of pure American spirit. It is abhorrent and repugnant. It is subversive to social peace. It is destructive of moral supremacy, and ultimately will bring this nation to a fatal conflict" ~ A Texas Senator.
"Moral equality between these unions and those as found in the Bible does not in fact exist, and never can. The God of nature made it otherwise, and no human law can produce it, and no human tribunal can enforce it. There are gradations and classes throughout the universe. From the tallest archangel in Heaven, down to the meanest reptile on earth, moral and social inequalities exist, and must continue to exist throughout all eternity." ~ Georgia Supreme Court.
“These miscreants wish to abolish or greatly modify the relations of husband and wife, parent and child, the institution of the Christian Church, and private properties of all kinds. For the sake of our nation we must amend the constitution otherwise see our civilization perish.” ~ A Governor of Ohio.
“Marriage is sacred and we have no authority to alter this hallowed institution that God began upon creating Adam and Eve.” ~ South Carolina House of Representatives.
“The purity of public morals require that such connections and alliances so unnatural that God and nature seem to forbid them, should be prohibited by positive law, and be subject to no evasion.” ~ Virginia Supreme Court.
“How grave and direct an assault on the values of this nation and thousands of years of moral tradition and holy law. We the people of this great state had already decided where we stood concerning these egregious sex-unions yet the state supreme court chewed us up and spit us out as if our will was worth nothing.” ~ A Mormon Bishop from California.
I'll give you a hint. All these quotes predate 1960, and some date as far back as 1900.
Answer:
The main difference between the arguments against racially mixed marriages is it's not condemned in the Bible so they were wrong in their stance and their arguments. While homosexuality is condemned in the bible. We know without a doubt that God is against a truly unholy union.
Satan takes what God has set apart and sanctified, and corrupts it and makes a mockery of it.

Does this seem at all funny to you? Question: A Priest, a Pentecostal Preacher and a Rabbi all served as chaplains to the students of the University of Georgia in Athens.
They would get together two or three times a week at the Varsity for coffee and to talk shop.
One day, someone made the comment that
preaching to people isn't really
all that hard. A real challenge would be to preach to a bear.
One thing led to another and they decided to do an experiment. They would all go out into the woods,
find a bear, preach to it,
and attempt to convert it.
Seven days later, they're all together to discuss the "experience".
Father Flannery, who has his arm in a sling,
is on crutches, and has
various bandages, goes first. "Well," he says,
"I went into the woods to
find me a bear. And when I found him I began
to read to him from the
Catechism. Well, that bear wanted nothing to
do with me and began to
slap me around. So I quickly grabbed my
holy water, sprinkled him and,
Holy Mary Mother of God, he became
as gentle a lamb. The bishop is
coming out next week to give him first
communion and confirmation."
Reverend Billy Bob spoke next. He was in a wheelchair,
with an arm and both legs in casts, and an IV drip.
In his best fire and brimstone
oratory he claimed, " WELL brothers, you KNOW
that we don't sprinkle!
I went out and I FOUND me a bear. And then
I began to read to my bear from
God's HOLY WORD! But that bear wanted nothing
to do with me. So I took
HOLD of him and we began to wrestle..
We wrestled down one hill,
UP another and DOWN another until we came to a creek.
So I quick DUNKED him
and BAPTIZED his hairy soul.
And just like you said, he became as gentle
as a lamb. We spent the rest of the time praising Jesus"
They both looked down at the rabbi,
who was lying in a hospital bed.
He was in a body cast and traction with
IV's and monitors running in and out of him.

The Book of 'Allegory'? Question: "And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." (Revelation 13:16-17)
Take a moment with me to reflect on this prophecy, penned by the Apostle John sometime in the latter part of the 1st century. In John's day, there were perhaps 200 million people living in the known world of the Roman Empire.
None of them had driver's licenses. There was no such thing as an identity card. There was no central database containing the names and addresses of the Empire's citizens. There was no central banking system in place. There was no global economy, no Federal Reserve, no paper scrip, and no way to track either the movement or the economic activity of the general population.
In John's day, such strict governmental control was utterly impossible. It would be more than eighteen hundred years before any of the elements necessary to fulfill John's prophecy were even dreamed of, let alone invented.
It wasn't even possible fifty years ago. The global economy wasn't possible until Bell Labs invented the transistor chip in 1948, giving birth to the Computer Age.
And it wasn't until the mid-1960's that computers were sophisticated enough to begin to compile databases of a country's citizens. And it wasn't until the early 1990's that it was even possible to track the movements of large segments of the population.
Now, look with me again at what John predicted. He predicted that the antichrist would have such detailed command and control that he would be able to restrict a person's ability to buy or sell unless they became part of his system.
That is one of the reasons that the Book of Revelation was always considered to be a book of symbols and allegory and not to be taken literally.
Martin Luther at first considered Revelation to be "neither apostolic nor prophetic" and stated that "Christ is neither taught nor known in it." The Book of the Revelation was the only book in the Scripture John Calvin didn't write a commentary on.
In the 4th century, St. John Chrysostom and other bishops argued against including this book in the New Testament canon, chiefly because of the difficulties of interpreting it and the danger for abuse.
Christians in Syria also reject it because of the Montanists' heavy reliance on it. In the 9th century, it was included with the Apocalypse of Peter among "disputed" books in the Stichometry of St. Nicephorus, Patriarch of Constantinople.
In the end it was included in the accepted canon, although it remains the only book of the New Testament that is not read within the Divine Liturgy of the Eastern Orthodox Church.
Traffic gridlock in Atlanta, Ga. has inspired two companies to develop a traffic monitoring system by tracking the cell phone signals inside cars.
By using anonymous data from wireless providers to mark how fast cell-phone handsets are moving — and overlaying that information with location data and maps — IntelliOne and AirSage hope to offer more detailed information and pragmatic advice than other firms that monitor traffic through radar, helicopters or cameras.
Both systems rely on wireless companies allowing them to process the data from their towers that calculate the position of each phone about twice a second when it's being used and once every 30 seconds when it's not.
IntelliOne, in business since 1999, uses technology that can track vehicles to within 330 feet without using Global Positioning System satellites.
AirSage has a similar strategy and has partnered with Sprint Nextel Corp. to offer government customers real-time traffic data.
The company already has four contracts with state transit departments and recently announced a plan with the Georgia Department of Transportation to extend traffic coverage between Atlanta and Macon.
It sounds like a good idea. Individual customers would be able to buy a single use or pay a monthly fee for personalized information and a service that sends alternate routes when traffic takes a turn for the worse.
But once the government has that data, it is up to the government how it wants to use it. Once the data begins to flow, the government will find all kinds of extra uses for it.
The Book of the Revelation used to be viewed as symbols and allegory because it was too high-tech to understand. It took two thousand years for us to catch up with it technologically.
To understand it in this generation, all one needs as a study guide is the morning newspaper.
"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." (Luke 21:28)
