    Texas or Georgia?
    Question:
The particular cities I'm interested in are: Texas: Houston, Galveston, San Antonio, Fort Worth, Arlington Georgia: Atlanta, Gainesville, Athens That said, which state would you recommend in terms of the following: people (friendliness, warmth, ease of making friends,) weather, geographic beauty, job market, cost of living, singles scene, and other factors you want to throw in. I like both places very well. But, I'm leaning toward Houston, primarily b/c it appears to have the cheapest cost of living of any of the mentioned cities, the friendliest people in my experience, the most arts and cultural opps, and the best job market. It may not have the prettiest surroundings, but I don't like where I live now (Kentucky, which is very pretty.) So, your take and why, please. Thanks for any help in advance.

    Answer:
    Texas.

    Texas, Georgia, or Kentucky? Why?
    Question:
The particular cities I'm interested in are: A. Texas: Houston, Galveston, San Antonio, Fort Worth, Arlington B. Georgia: Atlanta, Gainesville, Athens That said, which state would you recommend in terms of the following: people (friendliness, warmth, ease of making friends,) weather, geographic beauty, job market, cost of living, singles scene, and other factors you want to throw in. I like Tex. and Ga. very well. Kentucky, where I live, sucks and Louisville and N. Ky. are the only non-God-forsaken areas of the state. I'd really like to move to Houston, primarily b/c it appears to have the cheapest cost of living of any of the mentioned cities, the friendliest people in my experience, the most arts and cultural opps, and the best job market. It may not have the prettiest surroundings, but I can improvise. So, your take and why, please. Thanks, in advance, for any help.

    Answer:
Cost of living: Kentucky's best by far. Georgia is okay but around Atlanta it's pricey. Sorry to say, Houston is dumpy. And expensive.

Why aren't any movies filmed in Augusta, Georgia?
    Question:
I've noticed that movies have filmed in cities like Harvey, Illinois (for some scenes in "The Blues Brothers" (1980)) and Arlington, Virginia (for the upcoming movie "Night at the Museum 2" (200?)). Sometimes, they film in neighboring cities close to the major cities or whatever city they're filming in. So, a question came to me.... Why don't they film movies here in Augusta, Georgia and other cities here in Georgia? Wow, MystMoonstruck. That's a pretty good long list of videos, shows, and what not filmed here in Georgia! O_O ^_^ Thanks! :)

    Answer:
I found these listed on IMDB: Basketweave (2006) A Place Apart (1999 TV movie) That Darn Cat (1997) Sorry. Most were shorts or documentaries, so I deleted them. So, here are at least three filmed in Atlanta, Georgia. I'll see if I can find any other cities that have been filming locations. Follow this IMDB link, which lists titles with Georgia as a film site. You can click on any film title, and it will take you to the IMDB page, which will list exact shooting locations if available. There are several pages of listings, so you might find a number of movies there. If I had the time, I actually would do it for you, but I need to be elsewhere. At least it's a place to start! http://us.imdb.com/List?substrings=on&&locations=Georgi a&&skip=200

    College Choices & Opinions?
    Question:
Alrighty, so... I'm a senior in high school, and it's time that I decide where I want to go for college. I know a lot of people roam this site, so I'm trying to get opinions on schools. I want to major in psychology, and I preferably want to be a trauma psychologist. First off, I'm not certain how to come to be that, since I can't seem to find info on that. So if you can find me something on that, that would be really, really helpful. Anyway, back to the school thing. I'll list a few schools, and if you know someone who goes there or went there yourself, please give me a little information about it. All college sites have good points, so they don't help me. My list may be a little long; but it's not like you have to give me information on every single one. In searching for the following: +Four Year College +Located in Virginia or Georgia +Small to Medium Sized +Coed School +With, of course, the major I want So here are the schools that the search gave me: -Albany State University; Albany, Georgia -Armstrong Atlantic State University; Savannah, Georgia -Augusta State University; Augusta, Georgia -Christopher Newport University; Newport News, Virginia -Clark Atlanta University; Atlanta, Georgia -Clayton State University; Morrow, Georgia -Columbus State University; Columbus, Georgia -Emory University; Atlanta, Georgia -Fort Valley State University; Fort Valley, Georgia -Georgia College and State University; Milledgeville, Georgia -Hampton University; Hampton, Virginia -Longwood University; Farmville, Virginia -Macon State College; Macon, Georgia -Marymount University; Arlington, Virginia -Mercer University; Macon, Georgia -Middle Georgia College; Cochran, Georgia -Morris Brown College; Atlanta, Georgia -Norfolk State University; Norfolk, Virginia -North Georgia College and State University; Dahlonega, Georgia -Radford University; Radford, Virginia -Savannah State University; Savannah, Georgia -Shenandoah University; Winchester, Virginia -The College of William & Mary; Williamsburg, Virginia -University of Mary Washington; Fredericksburg, Virginia -University of Richmond; Richmond, Virginia -University of West Georgia; Carrollton, Georgia -Valdosta State University; Valdosta, Georgia -Virginia State University; Petersburg, Virginia In ABC order, not according to state. Any information would be helpful! Thanks in advance, Rikku

    Answer:
Rikku, The best method to find out info is to find a student. You can start looking for contact information for Washington universities here. http://www.collegereviewed.com/Washington-Colleges-Universities.h tml Students always seem to know what's up since they spend so much time on campus.

    Answer:
What kind of Financial Aid Program are you attempting too obtain? Each program has their own individual guidelines. As a prior degree student, I found by keeping a 4.0GPA opened doors for me to enter any school of my choice! Along with full Grants. On the Pell Grant - that is a 'Need Base's' grant. Many factors are taken into consideration. Some states also have "The Higher Education Policy Commission" which grants financial aid to part-time and full-time students. Check you home states webpage and look under the states "Department of Education site." If you do hold a strong prior GPA 3.8 or higher, check many of the campus' "Honor Societies!" I received grants from two different honor groups each semester. Good Luck and do SEARCH! Their is money out there, but so many do not know where too find it!

    Answer:
Not only social security, but schools and health care services are also being used by illegal aliens. They have no right to school or medical care if they are here illegally. They are breaking the law and they should be put in jail and then sent back to Mexico. Why should people who break the law be given any kind of reward or should be allowed to use any government benefits. I see all these rallies on t.v and they are all saying how they are Americans, but they are not Americans at all, they are law breakers and should pay like anyone else. I'm sorry that Mexico is so messed up, but it is not the job of the United states to help you out. I'm sure that if Americans started to cross into Mexico in huge numbers, the government of Mexico would be up in arms and the boarder would look more like a war zone. Mexico wants illegals here because it helps out Mexico, they don't put any money back into the u.s.a, they send it back home. And people also say how they are only taking jobs that Americans won't do, that's a bunch of crap, because they take good jobs from Americans and they drive our wages way down, why pay me 15 dollars an hour when they can pay an illegal 8 dollars to do the same job. Its wrong and has to stop.

    Answer:

    Texas, Georgia, or Kentucky? Why?
    Question:
The particular cities I'm interested in are: A. Texas: Houston, Galveston, San Antonio, Fort Worth, Arlington B. Georgia: Atlanta, Gainesville, Athens That said, which state would you recommend in terms of the following: people (friendliness, warmth, ease of making friends,) weather, geographic beauty, job market, cost of living, singles scene, and other factors you want to throw in. I like both places very well. But, I'm leaning strongly toward Houston, primarily b/c it appears to have the cheapest cost of living of any of the mentioned cities, the friendliest people in my experience, the most arts and cultural opps, and the best job market. It may not have the prettiest surroundings, but I don't like where I live now (Kentucky, which is very pretty.) So, your take and why, please. Thanks for any help in advance.

    Answer:
I live in Houston,TX we have the lowest cost of living and the best schools. I live in the Katy area which is outside of Houston. The community's are great we have great churches and shopping centers and we have great jobs .the only downfall is our traffic and the hot humid summers, but other than that I love where I live. I've been here since 1981 when I was 6 years old . My father moved us back here after he retired from the Air Force. I however like my husbands home town of Memphis ,Tn its small and nice but the cost of living is high and there isn't' that many jobs there except for the major companies like the IRS or FEDEX.

Thanks for any help in advance. Well, I just don't like it when people shove "their religion down my throat." I can find any of those types in any locale if I look for them. I live in a sometimes overly zealous religious state now, but I don't let that component bother me.

    Answer:
Gainesville GA sucks, don't move there. Athens isn't too bad. It's a fun college town. Atlanta is too crowded, running out of water, and has horrible traffic. I don't know about the other places, but Houston is considered one of the most underrated cities, It's supposed to be a good place to live.
