Questions Possibly Related to Brooksville, FloridaProvided By Y! Answers
Does anyone know the price for a sticker a croom motorcycle area in Brooksville Florida?
Answer:
Great place to ride. I can't remember exactly how much it was. I think it was around $100 for a year, but it may have been a little more. Well worth it if you can go a few times a year.
Also, if you are on a bike, I advise staying away from the E trail; the ATV's have torn that thing up and there are some whoops that will eat you alive.
Have fun and keep the rubber side down!

Is Brooksville Florida a good place to live? Question: I'm thinking of relocating to brooksville within the next 3-4 months.
Is anybody from there?
I've had it with these New York winters!!
I have 150k to spend on housing, will I get something decent close to town for this?
Is it a friendly town? are there things to do? shopping? a beach within 20 miles?
Thanks ;-)
Answer:
I spend quite a bit of time in the Brooksville Area doing volunteer work. Brooksville isn't the best town in the area to relocate to. Spring Hill is just like a suburb except it's larger than Brooksville and isn't ever incorporated. There are many new homes being built as I write this.
I find the people fairly friendly, but I'm easy to please. There are the cowboy types since Brooksville was once a rural town. There are actually 2 rodeos held in Brooksville every year. Then there are many Northern transplants here also. The Brooksville area is fairly diverse. We have 3 WalMart Super Centers and a Sams Club within an 8 mile radius. Being a rural area we do have fine dining available, mostly chain type establishments.
There are a couple of beaches within 20 miles of Spring Hill and Brooksville but drive a little South for a world class beach area, Honeymoon Island and Caladesi Island. Both of these are State Recreation Areas. One is reached by auto and the other by ferry from the other. Very nice sandy beaches with no vehicle traffic. These beaches are 35 miles South of Spring Hill, off US 19.
Two movie theaters with multiple screens in Brooksville/Spring Hill. Fourteen miles South in Port Richey are 12/16 screens and all the big box stores for your shopping needs. Ten more miles is World Famous Tarpon Springs and it's sponge boat docks. This area has been featured in many movies.
If you wanted to move a little further South on US 41 you would find Land of Lakes, a fast growing area in Pasco County. Farther from the water but closer to I-75.

How many square miles is the Tampa Bay area in Florida? Question: If it ranges from Brooksville Florida to Port Charlotte, Fl that trip is approx. 135 miles so how many square miles would this be ?
Answer:
How many miles inland do you want to take it. Zephyrhills, Brandon, Lakeland? Just multiply 135 by how many miles inland you want to include, to get an approximate figure. You have to account for the uneven coastline , bays etc .Thats why I say approximate.

Please answer my question clearwater and/or brooksville attractions? Question: I am looking into working for the Eckerd Youth Alternative, a Camp/Program for troubled teen, I would become a youth counselor in Clearwaters florida or Brookville florida I dont know exactly yet, but If anyone works there or have worked there in the past and doesnt now please give me insight on how you may have liked the job or not like the job. What should I expect?
What main attractions like malls or beaches or anything entertaining in Clearwater Florida and/or Brooksville Florida? Are these two cities rural cities or urban cities? Do you need a car to go anywhere or are stores close by?
Answer:
If you work down near Clearwater Florida you will most likely be working at the all female camp. Up near Brooksville you have the option of the Eckerd E How Kee or the Eckerd Challenge program. I worked at an Eckerd Camp for two years.
I liked the job alot. At the time I felt as if I was contributing something to society. Eckerd does not use Synanon methodology or for the most part it doesn't advocate brute force tactics. They don't need to. They have the climate of Florida that you will come to know and enjoy 365 days a year. No matter how hot, humid, wet, cold, rank, digusting smelling you get you still spend the majority of your time out in the woods.
You live in the woods with a group of boys or girls for 24 hours a day for 4 to 5 days straight. You sleep in a tent, you shower with your group, you eat with your group, and participate in every activity with your group. When the group struggles you must be the one to deal with it. When someone gets violent you have to be the one who resolves that situation. If you fail to ensure your campsite is clean you are the one who deals with that also.
For the most part the most you will be able to do about troublesome behaviors is call a huddle. Once called the huddle is for confronting negative behaviors, evaluating activitities, or acknowledging positive behaviors. The camp I worked at put a heavy emphasis on positive praise. However, you need to bear two things in mind.
This is a job that isn't for everyone. Actually, I think it is a job that isn't for anyone, but bear with me for a few moments. Can you remain calm in situations that are potentially violent? When sitting still and listening to a young boy or girl talking about her childhood abuse stories can you be the one who remains objective and not get overly emotionally invested? No matter how much you favor kids can you be the one who refuses to play favorites amongst your group and confronts and praises equally?
The clearwater program recently tried to make a young lady who couldn't participate in a river trip sit on a couch in thier front off doing nothing for 21 days. Can you make a young girl sit on a couch for 21 days doing nothing?
At my own camp Master counselors on occasion restrained kids for pretty much no reason. Bullying tactics were common place. They would get into the boy's faces and threaten and intimidate them. One Master Counselor tried to get a boy to fight him. So not everything is what it seems on the surface with this company.
It can be highly satisfying, but I can honestly think of better venues to help children through. If you are a college graduate, which you have to be to work for Eckerd, then consider doing a stint in the Americorp and after than go on to the Peace corp. Also their a numerous Nongovernmental organizations that work with kids in their homes and in their own communities.
You realize that these boys and girls in Eckerd programs spend on average 2 and a half days every six weeks with their families? Yes I realize the majority of them are adjudicated, but then again I don't agree with the juvenile justice system either.

well my sisters are coming down to florida does anyone know fun places to go in brooksville, petersburg, tampa? Question: i really need help im new in florida and have not seen my sisters in 2 years and i really want to do something geat,
also we really want to get real dressed up does anyone know a fancy dinning place or somewhere u really dress up.
Answer:
if you like to go out to clubs/bars try ybor in tampa. it is a strip of clubs and such near downtown. in st. pete try baywalk. it is located in downtown st. pete and has a movie theater, open bar, nice restaurants and is by the pier so you can walk along side the water. south tampa also has a lot of nice eating places--try international plaza--it's an upscale mall and also has an area that is just restaurants. the restaurants are not part of the mall, you can walk up and down this little brick-paved path and decide where you want to eat!
have fun!!

I am looking to own a small dog for free or close to free will pay up to 200 dollars? Question: Close to the Brooksville, Florida area....
close to the brooksville, florida area
Answer:
Try your local Humane Society. You can find lots of dogs that need homes. The fee at the Humane Society is usually around $75. That includes the dogs first shots and spaying or neutering.
You'll have done a good thing, saving a dog from euthanasia and you'll have a friend for many years to come.
