How many wins will Urban Meyer's Florida Gators have this season?
    Question:
Just so you know, Meyer has had a history of success in his second seasons with previous teams. Bowling Green was 9-3 in Meyer's second season. Utah was undefeated and beat Pitt in the Fiesta Bowl, becoming the first non BSC confrence team to win a BSC bowl.

    Answer:
    10-2

Who do you think is the best coach in college football?
    Question:
Because i am a Florida fan. I am inclined to say Urban Meyer. He started at Bowling Green and had one of the biggest turnarounds in college football history. Then went to Utah where he lost only 2 games in 2 seasons and had 1 undefeated season 04. And ofcourse on to Florida where he has won a National Title, and could have 1 more this season. Just my opinion though. Can't argue with Nick Saban, Bob Stoops, or Mike Leech.....Pete Carroll can not get his team up for every game.

    Answer:

if i apply to 7 colleges what are the odds i get rejacted from all??
    Question:
im really scared i will not get accepted into the colleges i want....at least one of these colleges should pick me right??... Bowling Green State Florida State George Mason University of Houston Montclair State University Temple Rutgers (my main one) By the way i have a 2.8 and play basketball and baseball and am involed with like 3-4 clubs in school...

    Answer:
It's hard to tell, not knowing what your SAT scores are. But based only on your GPA, I'd think: -Bowling Green State - 60/40 chance (60% no, 40% yes) -Florida State - I would be very surprised if you got in there. Your GPA is way low for them. -George Mason - 80/20 chance (80% no, 20% yes) -University of Houston - 60/40 chance -Montclair State University - you have a decent chance here. -Temple - 60/40 chance -Rutgers - 70/30 chance Your GPA is low for all of these. For some, like Florida State, it's quite low. For others, like Montclair, it's just a bit low. However, if your SATs are high for those schools, that could really help balance things out for the schools, like Montclair, where your GPA is just a bit low for them. In addition, if you write strong essays, have excellent references, and have decent extra curriculars (which you do), that helps. And if you plan to play for the college's basketball or baseball teams, then that's really in your favor. Hugely in your favor. If you plan to play for their teams, you want to contact their coaches asap, because the coach can help. I'd strongly suggest you pick some back up schools that fit your GPA well. You certainly should apply to the schools on your list, especially those that you really like, but have one or two back ups that you're pretty darn sure you'll get into, just in case. Keane University, for example, may be a good back up school. It's in NJ, and the average GPA of accepted students there is closer to yours. So when you apply to Rutgers, know that you may get in or maybe not, and also apply to Keane, where you probably will get in.

Whos the most overrated ranked team as of today October 22?
    Question:
Kansas gets me vote: Other than K-State, their other opponents are a combined 11-22, including the likes of Florida International and Toledo. BC is next: They'll come back to Earth when they play someone other than Army, UMASS and Bowling Green.

    Answer:
Michigan...if you lose to a Div 1AA school...you should not be ranked the rest of the year...they have really not played anyone, so I do not see how they are ranked in the Top 25...the only teams that have really played any good teams would be the SEC Teams...if you go undefeated or just lose one game in the SEC, you have done something...example...one lose Florida beating Ohio State like a two dollar hooker who owes money...PAC 10 is weak...there are many over rated teams this year...

Who is the hottest coach in college football?
    Question:
My pick is Urban Meyer, the man is spooky, freaky good, here's why: Home games lost as Bowling Green's head coach: 2 Home games lost as Utah's head coach: 0 Home games lost as Florida's head coach: 0 Bowl games lost as a head coach anywhere: 0 Rival games lost: 0 Season opening games lost: 0 Head coach record; Bowling Green: 17-6 Head coach record; Utah: 22-2 Head coach record; Florida: 22-4 Winning percentage, overall: 81.4% You are LUCKY, Florida fans, LUCKY!!!

    Answer:
I'd like to bring into the discussion, Coach Chris Petersen of Boise State, who took a bunch of mostly local boys from a sparsely populated region and built a team that beat long-established Oklahoma, coached by Bob Stoopes. Boise State played a clean game, with heart and courage. Urban Meyer has some skills but he's an immodest, driven guy with some head problems that need to be addressed. Pete Carroll is a fine coach but then, USC has fine talent, year after year. Chris Petersen is the guy to watch!

Ohio State fans I'm not trying to sound offensive, but...?
    Question:
Does your cable or satellite provider allow you to watch games in other areas of the country? The reason I'm asking is that at the same time Ohio State plays Bowling Green, LSU and Florida will be playing. I'm not a fan of Ohio State but I'm not a dummy either. The Ohio State game won't even be worth watching. In my eyes Bowling Green is somewhat the equivalent to Louisiana (Monroe). Instead watch the LSU/Florida game. I guarantee it will prove to be more entertaining. Will you give it a try?

    Answer:
I get all the good games here in Ashland, Ohio. Right now I am switching between Ohio State - BGSU (Not that it is overly exciting) Florida - LSU (The refs suck) and Oklahoma - Texas (It's an alright game) I'm a fan of Ohio State, but also enough of a fan of college football to respect there are other, better games on, and I will be more entertained watching a true competition than watching the Buckeyes piddle around with Bowling Green.

Is Urban Meyer the MAN or what? The best college coach in football?
    Question:
He came to Bowling Green when they sucked, two years later, they tore it up and won a bowl. He went to Utah when they sucked, two years later, undefeated season, crashed the BCS and destroyed their opponent. He went to a struggling Florida team and yep! Two years later.... He has NEVER lost a game that he had more than a week to prepare for. NEVER. That says freaking GENIUS to me!

    Answer:
I have to say I love Nick Saban. I live in Michigan and liked him at MSU...I grew up in Louisiana and LSU is my favorite...After winning a National Championship at LSU I'll always be grateful...Even if he is a traitor by going to one of LSU's two biggest rivals. You HAVE to love Meyer too though...He has helped bring lots of credibility to Florida, the SEC and as a result, LSU for playing them so tough (we lost dang it)...Makes the SEC better and gives more credibility to LSU! I LOVE that and Meyer for it!

    Answer:
Thanks for printing this. It looks fair to me based on how team's performed week 1. My respect for Mizzou, Illinois, Alabama and Clemson only goes up all around for scheduling "real" games against top programs on Week 1. We need more of that - it would be good for football.

    College Football bets today?
    Question:
i am planning on betting on the following games today (i am taking the team on the left): South Carolina -13 vs. Arkansas Bowling Green -3 at Ohio Alabama -4 at LSU USC -22 vs. Cal Florida State -4 vs. Clemson What do you think of these bets, and do you have any other picks that you consider locks? thanks.

    Answer:
Take Arkansas and the points. BG and give the points. Strong MAC game, but BG wins this game by a TD. LSU and the points. They win this game without the points!! Cal and the points. USC can't hang that many and keep the lead too. Last one is a tough call, but I'd take FSU and give the points. The heartbreaker last week has this team Pi**ed off enough to cover.

Is a High School GPA of a 3.5 and 1240 on the SAT and a 28 on the ACT good enough to get into college?
    Question:
Out of these colleges which one choose? 1 Ohio State 2 Miami (Ohio) 3 Bowling Green 4 West Virgina 5 Cincinnati 6 Dayton 7 Kentucky 8 Ohio 9 Miami Florida 10 Georgia

    Answer:
Those are good stats, they aren't the most impressive ever but they are definately good enough for you to get into most of the schools you listed if not all. I don't know Miami (ohio), Bowling Green or Dayton well but you should definately get into Ohio State, West Virginia, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Ohio and Georgia. University of Miami might be a little bit of a reach, but there is still a definite chance you could get in. If you want to see for yourself, go to princeton review and enter your stats into the counselor-o-matic. They will tell you safeties, good fit and reach schools based on your stats and which schools fit what you want. Good Luck!

    Thinking about moving to Kentucky?
    Question:
My husband and I are thinking about moving to Kentucky. We currently live in Florida where I've lived my whole life (Except for a year and a half in Okinawa). We are looking at Bowling Green. Any helpful information about Kentucky would be GREAT!! We are tired of the high insurance and high cost of living here in FL. It's so crowded and expensive, we just cant make it here anymore.. How about the jobs up there?? My husband is currently in heating and air, which he's been in for about a year.

    Answer:
I have lived near Bowling Green all my life and travel there frequently. It is a wet county- if that matters to you. Your husband should have no trouble finding a job. There are several heating and cooling businesses in the area or he could more than likely have his own successful business. I watch the Bowling Green news nightly and there is hardly any mention of major crimes in that area. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from and several shopping centers. I would say to come and visit and see what you think. Good luck!

OK people give me your bowl picks on all bowl games!!!! You can leave out some of the crappy ones if you want!

Recipe for a very thick Egg Foo Yung Gravy? Like Mr. Wonton.?
    Question:
I used to live in Acworth, GA for several years and loved the local restaurant called Mr. Wonton, I absolutely loved their Egg Foo Yung gravy, and I have not been able to find a similar one where I live now in Bowling Green, OH or at my parents place in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. I would love a recipe for thick egg foo yung gravy, I've tried the standard soy sauce, stock, cornstarch combo with no luck it doesn't look or taste like it. It seems the one at Mr. Wonton was thickened with a flour roux or something like that because it is very thick and cloudy. Are there maybe different ways to make the gravy depending on the region of China one is from? I'd love some more information of this or recipes similar to what I've described. Thank you!

    Answer:
It was probably not a roux but a mix of thick cornstarch gravy on top of a scrambled egg white. Once the dish is nearly done, add 2-3 egg whites mixed with a little water and quickly scramble it in the mix. quickly add your cornstarch/water mix stirring constantly. adjust with water as needed
