    Bell is a town in Gilchrist County, Florida, United States. The population was 349 at the 2000 census. Bell is one of two towns in Gilchrist County. It is situated in the northern part of Gilchrist County. The Middle/High School is home to approximately 750 students. Bell was once the site of "Swamp Shooters", an alumni game where former Gator football players participated in many different basketball activities. Akin's BBQ, which is noted in many southern restaurant magazines, is a very popular place to dine. One thing Bell has come to be noticed for is the excellent Bell High-Q teams. Last season, the Varsity team held an undefeated record, and the JV team won the 2007-08 JV District Championship. In the year 2007, Jeffrey Lee Williams Jr. was elected to serve the Florida FFA Association as the Area II State Vice President. Jeffrey is one of the few to ever be elected to State FFA Office.     YES THEY DO, You can Grow the Red, Green, and Yellow BELL PEPPER, They Prefer Planting on the East Side of the Home or Yard, be careful not to give them Western Sun Exposure if you can Help it, because they will Burn from the Intensity of the heat. Also Make sure you Fertilize well, and give them plenty of Water only in the Morning, because watering at nite, will cause Mildew & Mold on the Leaves. To Keep Bugs away, Mix one Tablespoon Dish Soap to One Quart of Tap Water, and Spray them Heavily at first sign of any Bugs. Enjoy your Peppers- Yummy and full of vitain A & C

    Possible to grow vegetable plants in Cape Coral, Florida outdoors?

    I used to live up North on east coast. So I don't know much about sw Florida. Can veggie plants be grown sucessfully outdoors (say like in Cape Coral or St. James City), or should they be done in large pots and kept by windows under shelter? Would too many "bugs" or the bad winds or downpours destroy the veggie plants if they were done outdoors? I don't want to look like an idiot doing vegetable plants outdoors around here if it really is'nt possible to keep them alive well out there or keep them from getting broken. Vegetables like: big beef tomatoes, big bell peppers, yellow squash and eggplant.

    I don't see why not. You can contact your county extension office and get all the info you need to grow a wonderful garden. It is free and very useful.

    Generally yes, you need phone service in order to get DSL. The DSL could be provided by someone other than Bell South, but you would have to get the phone service from Bell South. Perhaps regulations will change in the future, as there is no technical reason why this must be so, but I believe this is the way it is today. To save money, you might consider splitting the cost of your DSL connection with your neighbor, allowing them to be a guest on your wireless router, or vice-versa.

    how can do i grow bell peppers??

    i live in florida and i took the seeds from a red bell pepper and had them to dry. now how do i plant them? do i need special fertile or can i use dirt from outside my home?

    Answer:
    What you will need is potting soil and a seedling tray to start the seedling off in. Do not use the soil from outside; that is in your yard. If you live in the area where there is a lot of sand in the dirt the soil will not work for bell peppers and plus there maybe insects in the soil. Once you have added the potting soil to the tray containers water them and then put one seed in each container. After that put the tray in a sunny and well aired location and water about once a week. It should take about two weeks before the plants being to sprout. Continue to water then about once a week or if the soil starts to feel dry. After about another few weeks when the plants have gotten to be good sized (when they are nice a bushy little plants) you can transplant them into either bigger containers or into your garden. When you do transfer them do not do it during the hottest time of the day. Do it either during the early morning hours or late in the afternoon when it is cooler. (To keep the plants from getting stressed out from the heat.) And do not plant them outside if the temperature is down in the 30's. Bell pepper need warm weather in order to thrive. Right now is not a good time to start them. Wait until after January when the temperature will begin to go back up again above 50's. And the peppers may not grow; for the pepper plants their selves are keep cooled to keep the pepper from spoiling which often has an effect on the seeds. I've tried to grow plants from saving the seeds from the ones I've gotten from the grocery store and have never had any of them to grow for me. You probably be better off to just pick up a packet of seeds; which cost about as much a couple of bell peppers and just plant those instead.

    i know the beef they use is reconstituted.just add hot water and stir....potatoes are easy enough,,,,just reshape them after altering the chemical makeup...use lotes of greese when you fryem up.then add lots of phosphates for flavor....beleive me taco bell uses alot of them,,,and just add msg and preservitives,,,,and poof a taco bell beef and potatoe burrito.

    South Florida pepper plant problem. Are they getting too much sun?

    I have 4 pepper plants growing. They have been in the ground for about two weeks. Up until today 3 out of 4 were ok. I am watering at night after the sun goes down and in the morning early. The two that are failing have what looks like burned leaves. The one is almost gone. Am I overwatering? Is it too much sun? They get full sun early and into the afternoon. The jalapeno is thriving but the bell's are the effected ones. Any ideas?

    Help with red bell pepper plant?

    I planted a red and green bell pepper plant mid May. i live in FLorida, so temperatures are 90's during day and 70's at night. I made sure there was plenty of rich soil before planting. The stalk of the green bell pepper turned brown at the base a wek later and the leaves started to curl in, then it died. The red pepper looked much better, it has many blossoms and two small fruits. It has just now begun to do the same as the green bell pepper......what is going on. It just started the wilting leaves today. Is there any way I can save it? Everything else in my garden looks great....the only thing I am having problems with are the peppers. Help!

    Bell Canada is the only phone carrier that still charges this. Sure, in the 1970's when new it was charged and rightly so, it was new and only available to certain areas. But NOW? I am with Rogers now, and they do not charge this, I am also with COMCAST in Florida, and it is not charged. One rep from Bell said"it is so I can access touch tone menu features" HUH? I will just stay on the line for "dial up" customers so I can skip the menu. I put in a complaint to the CRTC [Canada's watchdog on telecommunications] today.     I agree with you - it is a cashcow and nothing more. DTMF touch-tone is the standard now days, not the exception. Telus, here in Alberta, does not have a charge like that. However, they do nickle and dime us in other ways... VoIP is by far the lowest cost option now days for long distance calling.

    Anyone know the name of the outfit in Florida that advertises (advertised? I haven't seen one of their ads in a while) used/refurbished laptops? I found many of their ads on Cragslist in late 2007 and into early 2008. Their prices were very reasonable, they offered good warranties, credits (usually $25) for trading in old laptops and free shipping as I recall. I looked tonight and wasn't able to find any of their ads, old or new, nor did any hits on a google search ring a bell. Just looking for the name so I can see if they're still doing business.
