They just purchased their first home in Apopka and have been living there for one year. Anyone know of a highly recommended place (EXCELLENT food, nice ambiance but nothing stuffy, my parents are layed back people) being that I am not familiar with the area. I live in NYC.     I live in Orlando, but there are some nice places in northwest Orlando, which is very close. There are restaurants in Apopka, but for an Anniversary I would go the Orlando route. All along State Rd 426 they have all the chain restaurants, like Red Lobster,the Olive Garden (Italian, good food!), Logan's Roadhouse (Steak/barbecue). It is only about a 10 to 15 minute drive from Apopka.

    Disney Waterparks/resorts (Blizzard Beach/Typhoon Lagoon and all of their hotels) and Wet-n-Wild. I believe Aquatica by Sea World is gonna open in March, so you can check them out as well. You can also check out the Nickelodeon Hotel in Lake Buena Vista/S. Orlando since they have a pretty large aquatics department.

Do not allow any member to study with your child alone. Avoid camping trips in which children go as a group with one or two adults. Avoid baby sitters that are adult males. At a get together watch your children and keep them in sight at all times. Ask elders directly if they know of any abusers in your congregation, use specific names and note their reaction. They will not tell you directly but indirectly you can often figure out who it is. If one elder is less cooperative talk to another till you find out enough information to know the facts. If you choose to attend meetings with Jehovah's Witnesses then we suggest you follow the guidelines above for members.
