Friday Sep 15 | WESH-TV Winter Park
One man is recovering at Orlando Regional Medical Center after an explosion at a Seminole County gas station.
It happened at the Cosco gas station off state Road 434 on Thursday night, WESH 2 News reported.
The blast sent three workers to the hospital. Two of them were standing outside the manhole, and the other worker was inside the underground 20-gallon storage gas tank when the explosion went off.
He was the most seriously injured.
Seminole County Emergency Management said even though the gas tank is empty it is still dangerous.
Officials hope to have the gas station back up and running for business later on Friday.

Want to move to Central Florida, seems like Altamonte Springs is a nice place. We are a young married couple with a three year old and a baby on the way. I am a little worried about the crime rate in Orlando. It seems worse than my city which is Chicago. Anyone familar with Altamonte Springs? I need a nice safe area, but not out in the sticks! I need stores and easy access to them. Any advice ?

Altamonte is just a short drive from Orlando on I-4 and it's actually a lot nicer than Orlando.there's a huge mall located very close to I-4 and the area around the mall is really nice too

anywhere I would say... but $40? i am not sure that your going to find real good track shoes. i run track and mine cost...about $140.00 lol...good luck though!

Well make sure you are calling back on the places you apply the altamonte mall and movie theater are always good places also try grocery stores (Publix rocks to work for i never did but my little bro did). It is all about who you know see if you can have one of your friends try to help you get a job where they already work with a mng that likes them.

I recently moved to Altamonte Springs FL from South West Florida and I have had a very hard time meeting people with true southern roots. Down south, we go muddin, have bon fires, listen to country music and like to bar-b-que while enjoying a few beers. It seems like everyone up here is all about down town orlando, clubbing, rap & techno music and fashion not to mention all the fruity little drinks! Im 23 and would really like to meet some people with similar intrests but have no idea where to go since all the friends I have back home all went to elementry school with me! Where's the muddin spots? Where's the good bars? HELP ME OUT IM GOING CRAZY! (Just so you all know Ive met plenty of cool people and I do hang out with them and stuff, Id just like to meet a few with similar intrests...like ones that dont shutter as soon as I put in my George Straight CD) :0) Thanks Everyone!

I just recently moved to Edgewater,(20 miles south of Daytona Beach). I am originally from Michigan. I grew up listening to country music. I found a radio station I like, 93.1. It is strictly country music, playing the old as well as the new. Tune in for all the happenings in Central Florida.

Where can we get married on a Sunday? help...?
Question:
My fiance and I have planned an elegant Sunday brunch for our wedding reception. We wanted to get married in a church, but the reception venue was either too expensive at alternative times or not available. So Sunday became our day.
We planned on getting married on a garden patio at the reception site , but now our guest list is too big to fit everyone on the patio.
I have checked into renting an air conditioned tent to set up on the lawn...but I am sure that will be really expensive. We live in Florida and it is too hot to not have AC.
Does anyone have suggestions of where we could get married on a Sunday at noon that would fit 130 people?
We live in Altamonte Springs ( Orlando) Florida, so if any one knows the area and can recommend specifically that would be great, but general suggestions are welcome too.
My other option would be to move it to a 3pm wedding at my mom's church which is close by ( and free) and then host a dinner party for the reception at our preferred site.
I really liked the brunch thing, though. It seemed so elegant. Evening catering is more expensive, but by the time I rent an airconditioned tent, I may be spending more... I really need some input.

I had been looking into getting married in the Polasek Sculpture Garden.
It's beautiful, elegant, and has many religious sculptures and locations that would serve beautifully for the ceremony, and then for the reception they have a big area, where a tent could be put up, even though it's already canopied by the trees. It's by a lake, and if you choose to get married under the huge tree next to the lake, it would look outstanding.

It's not too expensive. You can go visit the garden for free, and you could also pay $5 for the tour of the house and the additional pieces of art it stores. Ask for the leaflet on weddings so you can see their prices.
