Absolutely! It really depends on your grades and standardized text scores, but many colleges embrace technical HS students. They tend to have hands on, practical experience and they are frequently more focused than their peers because they have already learned about one or two career options!
The validictorian of my local technical HS this past year was accepted to RISD, a very prestigious and difficult to get into art school. She used her computer training, academics and knowledge of computer graphics to put together a truly amazing portfolio, which got her into what may be the toughest art school in the country to matriculate to.
Unless you are aiming for Ivy League schools (Harvard, Yale, etc) what matters is the same things that matter if you went to a non tech high school: Grades, extra curricular activities and test scores. You absolutely should aim for college. In some fields you may actually have an advantage, depending on what field you are interested in! If you studied Engineering in HS and want to go to Engineering school, they will welcome with open arms a student who doesn't just have the math skills, but who has practical experience actually building things. If you are interested in Nursing school or a pre-med degree and you studied Allied Health professions, showing a knowledge of that area gives you and advantage. If you learn a lot of computer applications at your school it will give you an advantage entering a business school!
It never hurts to contact the admissions department of the college you are hoping to enter and ask them what they are looking for in a applicant. Why not look into the schools you are interested in, find out what the average GPA and test scores are, and find out what special things they look for in a student.
Good luck! Remember, it isn't where you go for High School, it is how you use the school's resources and other community resources to your advantage!

Bridgeport U has a rather complicated and troubled history. I would take a close look before signing up there. Fairfield is a good school, although not top ranked but I have never heard that they had a distinguished program in CS at the Masters level.
I don't think you have too much to gain by attending either of these schools, compared to just going to one of the CT state universities. UConn at Storrs, if you can get in would be more prestigious than either of these two you mention, or even Central CTor Eastern CT. They will give you just as good or better an education at a fraction of the cost. If you are going to pay private school tuition, then there are a lot of schools you should be looking at in the CT/NY/RI/MA area.

Is Bridgeport, Connecticut really scary and ghetto?

One of my cousins got a job offer there and her father doesn't want her moving there because he heard it's a really scary place.

There are some nice spots, but when one thinks of slumming it in CT, Bridgeport is one of about four or five areas that usually pops up immediately.
The lower east-side isn't the place to be.
I think areas like Treeland and Lake Forest are respectable. Maybe Black Rock.
I wouldn't live there. But who am I ....

Who was fined in the L'Ambiance Plaza collapse in Bridgeport, Connecticut in 1989?

I lost my camera when i went to a concert at The Arena in Bridgeport Connecticut, on March 16, I tried getting the phone number to the place but nobody ever answers the phone, I know there is a hockey game going on there tonight, but nobody is there to answer the phone, i called like 5 numbers, and i think i stumpled on to the right one, but nobody answers. I need my camera back, I just want to see if they have it. They may not because someone could have found it and kept it but still. How do i get a hold of the place.

Can anybody tell me about how the city of Bridgeport is? I currently live in Queens, New York in a great neighborhood. I might be moving to Bridgeport early next year with my boyfriend however, and I keep hearing that it is a really "rough city". Is that just based on people's opinion of what rough is?
I'd like to know an honest answer from people who live there, are there a lot, or attend the University of Bridgeport which I might also be attending if the move becomes final. How is the atmosphere, the people, the demographics, the nightlife, everyday life, everything!
Also, how is that University, b/c I've also heard not so positive things regarding it.
