    Denver, Colorado?
    Question:
Is there any chances that the flight from Chicago, Illinois at 6:00pm to Denver, Colorado arriving 8:00pm will be delayed by the snow and rain that Colorado's been recieving?!?

    Answer:
Hi! The weather is fine here. I am southeast of Denver inside the beltway. We've had some light winds, but that is it. The winter storm is supposed to happen in the mountains, which are to the west, so in my unprofessional opinion, you should be fine. It's in the upper 30's here right now. Happy Travelling.

What is the general perception of Denver and Colorado?
    Question:
Denver, Colorado (my hometown) has been in the national spotlight recently with our big blizzard (my suburb got 32 inches!!). I'm just curious what other people imagine Denver to be like. Or, if you've been before, what did you think of it? What do you think of the people, the city, the scenery, the stuff to do? Did you find the city welcoming? Conservative? Cosmopolitan or a bit of a cowtown?

    Answer:
We live in NJ, but have had a second home in Breckenridge for almost 20 years. We try to get up about three times a year, and miss it when we don't get there. I can tell you best how I feel about Colorado, by relating the following story: -------------------------------------------- A fellow walked into a church in LA and told the priest that he wanted to talk to God. The priest told the guy that they had a phone that would allow him to speak to God, but that it cost $5000! The guy didn't have $5000 so he left. Then he walked into a church in NYC and told that priest there that he wanted to talk to God. The priest told the guy that they had a phone that would allow him to speak to God, but that it cost $10,000! The guy didn't have $10,000 so he left. Then the guy walked into a church in Colorado and told that priest that he wanted to talk to God. The priest told him that they had a phone that would allow him to speak to God, and that it only cost $1.00. The fellow said to the priest that he didn't understand how that was possible, since the call costs $5000 in LA and $10,000 in NYC. Here it comes - get ready. . . . . . . The priest responded to him that in Colorado its a local call!! ----------------------------------------------------- Yo u live in one of the most beautiful parts of our country - enjoy it daily!

How long does it take to receive 1st class mail from denver colorado to smithville texas?
    Question:
I sent a large envelop with delivery confirmation first class from NY. Tracking online currently says that it is 'enroute and left the post office in Denver Colorado on Aug 29, 2007 at 220 am.' I needed it to arrive to its destination in Smithville Texas Sept 2nd 2007. The online tracking updates often. I'm concerned its not there yet. I forgot to mentioned that this was sent from New York on August 22nd and the tracking says that on August 29th it left denver colorado at 220 am.

    Answer:
Well, you know, the 2nd was Sunday and today the 3rd is Labor Day, and post offices are closed. I expect your letter will be delivered tomorrow the 4th when the post office is open. If you really need for something to be delivered on a Sunday, Express Mail will do it, at a much higher price.

What are the best communities to purchase a home in Denver, Colorado?
    Question:
What are the best communities to purchase a home in Denver, Colorado area? I will be moving there next summer and my work location will be around the South of Denver area. I'm looking for an area with good schools, low crime, and nice track homes in the low to mid 300K range. Mostly interested in new homes (new tracks)! Thanks I believe the company that I work for is moving to either Littleton or Greenwood Village. I am moving from Southern California and traffic is bad here, so any commute under 30 minutes is fantastic.

    Answer:
Depends where exactly you are moving to. South West Denver is Littleton (Jefferson County) and South East Denver is Aurora. I no longer live in Colorado but I always preferred Jefferson County, however, you may be closer to Castle Rock. Denver area is huge and the traffic is awful. It really depends where you are moving from.

What city near Denver, Colorado is a nice wooded area?
    Question:
Looking to move to Colorado near Denver, what city around this area would you consider or advise as a wooded area with hills, and big lots of land?

    Answer:
Depending on where you come from, you may be very surprised to see what Denver looks like. Denver is in a desert. Not one with cactus, but a desert, nevertheless. Few trees grow in this area, unless they've been planted. It doesn't look at all like the East Coast. There are some wooded areas in the mountains West of Denver. But living there is generally expensive, especially for a "big lot".. Basically, you don't come to Denver for woods or water. It has other charms.

How would I appeal a criminal case in Denver, Colorado to the appellate courts?
    Question:
I need the forms and the instructions on how to file an appeal on a criminal case to the appellate courts that was denied in District court Denver, Colorado.

    Answer:
If you a criminal defendant (or representing a criminal defendant) appealing from a state judgment, your appeal would go to the Colorado Court of Appeals. The first link below is to a checklist that walks you through the appelate process of that court. The second link is to the appeliate rules, which the Appelate checklist references. The appendex to the appelate rules contains a number of forms. If you are a federal criminal defendant, then your appeal would go to the 10th Circuit. Click the third link to see the forms you need. If you are a pro per (i.e. if you do not have an attorney), then I STRONGLY advise you to hire one, or ask the court to appoint an attorney for you. Trying to handle your own appeal is a bad idea.

    Answer:
Griff's Burger Bar An old-fashioned hamburger stand selling old-fashioned hamburgers; that's the gimmick at Griff's Burger Bar, a time-tested location for junk food out West. The menu sticks to the basics -- hamburgers, cheeseburgers, fries, corn dogs, egg sandwiches and BLTs. Try the "Giant" double cheeseburger value meal with a chocolate milkshake for an experience as delicious as it is fattening. Granted, mastery of the burger takes no culinary genius, but Griff's take on the sandwich -- a flattened patty on a buttery bun -- has a loyal Denver fan base. In the mid-20th century, Griff's was a major national burger chain; over the decades, its numbers dwindled to a handful scattered through the West (including an Arvada location). In October 2003, the Broadway Griff's caught fire and shut down. It reopened in 2004 with the same generic design as before -- fast food dining minus the corporate sheen (but nobody eats at Mickey D's for the atmosphere, either). At Griff's, it's all about the burgers. -- Konstantine Simakis (Photo: Konstantine Simakis)

What are some things I should check out while vacationing in Denver, Colorado?
    Question:
Me and my friend are vacationing in Denver, Colorado for about a week. What are some fun things to check out and do while there? We don't mind driving for up to an hour outside of Denver...

    Answer:
Take a drive down to Colorado Springs (about 45 minutes to an hour south of Denver) - visit Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Cave of the Winds or drive a little further south and go white water rafting down by the Royal Gorge in Canon City. In Denver maybe take a tour of Coors Field (I did it was pretty interesting), visit the Colorado History Center, visit the Denver Museum of Science, drive to Golden Colorado and take a tour of the Coors Plant or go to Buffalo Bill's Gravesite on Lookout Mountain - beautiful view of Denver from the top! Drive up to Boulder visit the Celestial Seasonings Factory or walk on their main pedistrian shop & visit the little stores. I agree with the previous person's suggestion of the restaurant "The Fort" it was worth the drive just for the experience & the view.... I didn't go to Estes Park, CO but I hear it is another great place to visit.....

    Question:
We want to go shoot a pistol free somewhere in Denver Colorado; but shooting ranges are so expensive. Is there anywhere free in Denver where you can shoot your gun?

    Answer:
If the range is safe, clean and has working rest rooms, isn't that worth a few dollars? Most ranges I've been to are under $5 per hour and annual membership of under $100 (which gets you plenty of shooting time... What exactly do you call "expensive"?

Where to find an apartment for rent, near the Art Institute in Denver, Colorado?
    Question:
Me and my boyfriend are moving to Denver, Colorado this year around October, (2008). I was wondering if anyone from around that area could help us, we will both be going to the Art Institute, so really around that area, within 15 miles. =) . We do have a small trained weenie dog, so please a place that allows pets. Thanks so much any help will be great.

    Answer:
A lot of students at the Art Institute live in the Capital Hill, Governors Park or Uptown neighborhoods. Those neighborhoods are all close to the school enabling you to walk to class. The parking can be rough in that area, so it's a good idea to live nearby. Plus, there are some decent bars and restaurants all within walking distance. The catch is most of the places for rent are older (but the rent is reasonable, so that's good). If you want to live in a newer yuppie area you can live in Golden Triangle or Lowerdowntown (Lodo). Visit www.hubbuzz.com for superficial descriptions of the Denver neighborhoods and ask further questions to get the dirt on each neighborhood. Craigslist is a good place to look for apartments/houses for rent.

Where is better to vacation with a toddler Colorado Springs or Denver?
    Question:
I plan on taking my two year old on vacation to Colorado this September. I don't know which has more to offer for children, Denver or Colorado Springs. I am assuming Denver since it is larger, but Colorado Springs is closer to us (less gas!). If anyone has taken their young children to either, your opinion will be valued heavily. Thank you!

    Answer:
Well, I live here and I would say it's better to take him/her to Denver. There is a lot more to do and the hot springs are in Glenwood, not Colorado Springs. Denver just has more going on and there is more to see and more attractions. Colorado Springs is boring in my opinion and the people aren't as nice as in Denver. Well, I think you will have fun where ever you decide on going, but Denver would be my choice. Good luck and have fun! :)
