How do i stop my dog? Question: How do i stop my 1month puppies?
They are golden jindos. (Golden retreiver and Jindo mix)
We know that they are teething but they do not chew on the chew toys we got them.
We've already tried tapping on their noses and saying "no".
Please help.
Also...
Does anyone know any emergency vets in Saratoga, California?
I forgot to say that they are chewing......
The breeders said they were around one month when we got them.
Answer:
A one month old puppy is a BABY. They NEED to chew. There is not much you can do except provide alternative things for them to chew on. It is normal and natural for them to chew at this age.
You can use a product called "biter lemon" that you spray on furniture and other things you don't want them to chew. It is not harmful; it just tastes bad.

Who are the Zillionaires that can afford housing in California? Question: My parents bought a 2500 sq ft home in 1962, Saratoga (burb of San Jose) for $30,000. Sold it 1966 for $33,000. Dad was a Mechanical Engineer earning $13,000 per year, supporting a family of 6 (mom didn't need to work).
Fast forward to today: Home is "valued" at $1,395,000.
A vacant lot runs $900,000!
Since home after home after home in California is 10x more costly than ones in Texas...
And my county boasts of being the 13th "richest" in the US, with the median Household income of under $80k per year....
Then
What is driving the wages, what are these folks doing to support house payments of $5000 to $20,000 per month?
Does a person have to be a Millionaire in order to afford living there anymore?
Is it merely an Illusion?
Is California an example of excessive wealth or hidden poverty?
Dad's 1966 wages would not work today. Salary increases kept up? Absolute craziness! How can such diversity in the income & housing exist? What can explain all this?
070908 5p
QUESTION:
What are these folk doing for incomes?
What type of work?
What type / level of education?
Are both Husband & Wife having to work?
Is this "old money"?
Are they mostly Entreprenueurs?
Are there instances of "illegal" income to afford (drug dealers, for example)
Are they mostly elderly - that have aquired their weath and have retired?
Are they of the Internet-earners?
I have a two yr degree because I was never qualified for scholarship. My parents were not weathly. I've worked 25 yrs now, and am actually earning the same wages I earned in 1994 because I am now over 50 and employers don't like to pay older workers as much.
If I HAD to move to California today, I'd wind up living in the streets begging for food. That is the contrast I see.
I'd *L*O*V*E* to know what I'd need to do in order to:
Acquire the Income
that
Could afford a "modest" home in California.
If I had that information, I could live like a *Q*U*E*E*N* in Texas, no doubt!!!
Michael-it looks like my data for the # of county is off...I understood my county to be #13, and you mentioned another county in another state. In any case, my hubby and I earn 1/2 of the "average" for our county, so we are struggling with daily stuff AND the debt from credit cards when I had to "finance" myself for schooling and post-divorce (my attorney had to be paid, ya know?).
Great answers, ya'll thus far!!!!!!!!!!!!
Answer:
YOU are confusing many issues.
I was raised in Calif; and live in another
SW state now, for the reasons you depicted in your query.
ONE house i lived in in 1956 cost us
34k --today it is worth 12x that. Why?
supply and demand.
Many people would rather be in hock
for all they earn to Live the California
life. That is why more Californians have
2 members of a family and both work
to support the house.
and wages in Calif and NY [2 of the
most exp states to live in] are higher
because of it.
in about 1967 [when I got out of the
service], prices were reaching what
is called a "negative cap" meaning
the RE only make a profit for the
prop buyer when he sold it 3-12 yrs
later. That was and still is, absurd.
That is betting on the come.
today, in SF, the city counsel has an ordinance that teachers are allowed to
live in special subsidized housing; first
time in America.
And, more IT entrepreneurs start up
in Calif then anywhere else in the nation
and many of them take home over
$1m a year. Plus we have
Hollywood
no poor FT actors.
in TV and movies.
and sports figures.
in the last 25 yrs, you would be surprised
how many millionaires live in the US;
one in every 264 people according to
one study, are net worth millionaires.
NOT sure how many now with the
RE bust.
Does this windy, drawn out answer help you?

quail help? Question: so im planning on buying a pet quail but im stuck on between a gambel's or a button. those who have experience on raising quails, can you tell me which type is more affectionate and which one is less aggressive?
also, im a bit worried about this, but do quails generally make affectionate pets? cuz i dont see a lot of pictures of people with their quails. they seem almost vicious. please help?
can you tell me which breed you prefer, and tell me the reasons why?
haha and is there a personality difference between the two mentioned above? how about a gambel and a california valley?
and last question, i live in saratoga, ca; do any of you know where to buy eggs(i want to hatch them myself)?
thanks soo much.
Answer:
I think that the general concensus is that Button quails are more popular. It's less common for Gambel's Quails to be kept as pets, and may not survive in your care.
Don't quote me on that though.
