    East Oakdale is a census-designated place (CDP) in Stanislaus County, California, United States. East Oakdale is located at 37°47′37″N 120°48′24″W / 37.79361, -120.80667 (37.793528, -120.806669). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 5.8 square miles (15.0 km²), of which, 5.6 square miles (14.6 km²) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.4 km²) of it (2.93%) is water. As of the census of 2000, there were 2,742 people, 989 households, and 824 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 486.9 people per square mile (188.0/km²). There were 1,032 housing units at an average density of 183.3/sq mi (70.8/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 91.28% White, 0.36% African American, 1.86% Native American, 1.64% Asian, 0.07% Pacific Islander, 2.08% from other races, and 2.70% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.82% of the population.
