Should I move to Albany, Bend, Eugene, or Salem?
    Question:
I'm considering getting the heck out of Southern California and I really want to work in Oregon. But I don't want the big city life of Portland. What can you tell me about those 4 cities? You can tell I'm VERY intelligent, I even put the cities in alphabetical order. LOL. I'm in the Computer Technology field if that makes a difference. Thanks for reading.

    Answer:
Bend is beautiful, but you have to like the desert and that kinda thing, Eugene is a nice town, it is a college town, its nice tho, albany has a paper mill so it smells foul, I would say Salem, you would be about 45 minutes from Portland if you need to go there for anything, and its a nice area, there are smaller towns outside of Salem too that are beautiful. Good luck in your move!

Big Event, Need help on clothing?
    Question:
I have been invited to a Big Event in Hollywood. This event as I have been told should be filled with Big celebrity names. No the person who asked me won't tell me what it is. Just that both the event and after parties should be huge social events. Ok, now I am a simple country cowboy. While I was raised in Southern California back in the 1970's, there was still country there and ranches. I also know things have changed a lot too. I know my basic wrangler, roper shirts that I wear to rodeos won't cut it there for this event. I need something unique, or maybe even custom made. I have been asked to maintain my cowboy image and myself. Yet I also want to bend a little and fit in better. I think this would help the night go a lot better. Anyone have any suggestions on some good custom clothing makers, or really hip online clothing stores where I can find something new, different, yet cowboy/western style? Something like Tim McGraw might wear? I have the body for it.

    Answer:
My boyfriend is a big cowboy also! You need to keep your country style a little bit because that shows off your personality. You sound like you can pull off anything..so I would go with a nice white tailored shirt but not buttoned all the way to the top leave a few undone, tailored black dress pants and your cowboy boots and for the after parties maybe throw on your cowboy hat... if it's in good shape.

What are the economic benefits of the immigration plan? Are they hard criminals?
    Question:
When you say criminal.. do you mean because they broke the law? Do you believe there should be no repentence? Give them a chance to pay for their illegal entry (roughly 10K after attorney and appliation fees... a lot more than entering legally.. Ive done the research for a friend). We should allow them to finance the dollars (a lot of them can't afford it up front.. I agree)... Economically speaking and as it relates to US security, why would you want them to stay in the shadows? Doesn't make any sense.. they are not going anywhere.. deportation is near impossible and would create huge gaps in our current economy. Lets talk economics (I have a masters from Duke in finance)... lets do it simply. 12,500,000 Immigrants X $10,000 a piece.....mmmm... that would be a $125,000,000,000 surplus to the economy... in addition, they would be required to finally pay for their taxes (those that are currently being paid under the table), contribute to the healthcare system (rather than us citizens currently paying for their 4%). INS wont be so saturated and now they can focus on the non-registered... (possibly security threats) People who use the money factor are clueless... we can't fill the lower paying jobs.. look up southern California (lots of illegals)... restaurant owners, hospitals, cleaning services, and farms are paying a premium to fill these "lower class" jobs... they still cant fill them... This is everywhere in the country.. do the research... Economically, it doesn't make sense.. Lets talk the criminal avenue... but they are illegal criminals...? they broke the law... give me a break.. have you ever stole anything when you were younger.. ever drove 46 in a 45 to get somewhere just a little quicker... ever cheated a little on your taxes... these are all crimes my friend... even speeding or cruising through a stop sign... this country is governed by over 29,000 federal laws, and on average in my state (NY) an additional 120,400 penal law codes (increases about a 900 per year)... not including vehicle and traffic law... Everyone bends the rules.. and commits a crime... time to time.. Many illegals come here for a chance for a better life... if you were in Mexico, living in poverty, wouldn't you at least try for the benefit of your family? Think big picture... there are enough punative damages in fines they would have to pay.. (to make it fair for those who came here the pain in the rear legal way) if they don't, seek them out deport them permanently.... Use the surplus dollars to firm up the border... help the economy, and most importantly enforce the laws/borders moving forward..

    Answer:
I believe you. I believe that you have a degree in economics because you make much more sense than all the republicans seeking elections in 2008 put together. They are fat liars who are trying to sing the immigrant hate song the Americans want to hear. 12 million illegal immigrants, add up their prolific offsprings and you have a population large than most nations. We can't deport these kind of numbers and by doing so, we would bankrupt the treasury. The argument that they have circumvented the road to US and freedom and that they have jumped the line ahead of others in waiting is baseless. The important issue here is that they are already here with us. We don't owe a penny to those assumed in waiting to migrate here. Period. This is a bad situation but finding solutions that works for the benefit of all - a win win situation is the role of good managers and great thinkers. The fact that these people are here and getting jobs is proof that someone wants and needs them. So let's get smart and make good use of them. Give residence status to all of them, (safe for those with felony records) charge them a huge fine and fee for it, and make sure they start paying taxes. Also put a clause that they cannot enjoy welfare benefits until they have been legal working residents for a period not less than five years and they should have proof of work by providing W2s. By doing this, the exchequer will add it's kitty from added number of tax payers, the home office will have a grip on whoever is here, and we can manage our borders with a less burden.

    What is true and false?
    Question:
I've heard so many different things, I don't know what is true or false anymore. Here's what I've learned: The big reason gays aren't being able to get married is because marriage is something done through a church, and some churches will not allow gay marriage because it is against tradition. Well... there is something called separation of church and state, and it is obviously not being followed through by the government. Some may claim it is unconstitutional to not allow gays to marry, because it interferes with their rights. On the other hand, I have heard that gays may get the same legal benefits from a marriage with a domestic partnership, which I don't believe to be very true... So, as it stands, the reason many politically (somewhat informed) people are voting yes on California's Proposition 8 is because marriage is a tradition and it is traditionally for a man and a woman, and they also think that domestic partnerships give the same legal benefits. My question is... Do domestic partnerships really give the same legal benefits? And if they do, what is wrong with changing tradition up just a bit? Hell, not long ago Churches advertised the idea that the sun revolved around the Earth, and those who thought otherwise were burned at the stake... Why can't the churches just settle down and change things because of the differences in people? My other question is... if separation of church and state is being followed through, can gays get married through a non-religious ceremony if they choose? Then they would not make churches bend over backwards to change their traditions, and gays can have the same legal rights as straight couples, and all this stupid stuff about gays not being able to marry can vanish! for those who are just too lazy or stupid to read what I said like those below: don't bother answering. my question has to do with the legalization of gay marriage in California through Proposition 8. and i'm not gay, so my own personal life has absolutely nothing to do with these questions, so please don't even bring up my personal life. Danielle, you have answered my question as I wanted it to be answered, unlike the 2 previous answerers. Thank you. But my question does extend further... I was not entirely talking about Fairness, but rather if it was unconstitutional to prevent gays from having certain rights, such as marriage. It's almost like saying woman do not have the right to vote, which was exactly the case at one point. Now women have the right to vote, because it was rationalized that it is unconstitutional that we are not allowing women to have the right to vote. Now wouldn't you agree that it would be unconstitutional to now allow gays the right to marry? What I don't know is if it is possible for any couple to marry without having to do it through a religious ceremony. If gays could marry without having to do it through a religious ceremony, there would be no reason for that to interfere with any of the churches, and they would have the right they have been asking for. you know what... screw it... dont bother reading my extension above, as long as gays keep the same rights through a domestic partnership i think it is ridiculous to have to argue with them whether or not they want to participate in a tradition meant for a man and a woman. it's the same damn thing, just you don't have the title "married". ignore the 2 previous additions to my question... anyways, i found out that it is actually possible for gays to marry without having to go through a religious ceremony, so therefore churches are not going to have to resort to allowing gays to marry though religious ceremonies. However you are correct about it being about the fact that they do want to whip around and try to have us accept them and give them some credibility and substance. But hell, it's only because we try to deny them any to begin with. As of right now, it is legal for gays to marry, so far nothing bad has happened, so what the hell is going wrong? There is no reason for us to barge in on them and tell them they can't marry if they already can and it's doing no harm. Last but not least; you're actually wrong, there are some legal rights missing in domestic partnership. An example would be that when your partner is unconscious and in a hospital, you will not be able to make decisions for them.

    Answer:
The majority rules in this country not the minoriy. The Constitution and laws were not created for total equality and fairness... it was based upon ruling without tyranny. There are many laws on the books that are unfair and inequitable. Here are two examples: Men have no say so as to whether their child is born... there is no motion or law or court that will intervene to protect a father's right to have their child born... it is totally a woman's right (I make no reference as to whether I agree with this... however this is the law of the land). The second example is in DNA (Genetic Testing) for children. In CA if you are married, and your wife has an affair, and the child is born while you ARE STILL MARRIED AND LIVING TOGETHER, The HUSBAND is conclusively presumed to be the father of that child and the true bio dad can do nothing about it. A DNA test in this instance would be inadmissible. Fair? Equitable? You make your own mind up. However this is the law of the State of CA. Sooooooo if the majority of Californian's do not want their children taught that gay marriage should be accepted for tradition or otherwise, why do other's have to play the fairness card... Where does it say everything has to be fair. The majority rules in this country. Lastly, the answer to your question is yes... domestic partnerships legally offer gay folks the same rights as married folks. This is not about equal rights it is about minority positions being forced down the majorities throats to give substance and credibility to the gay lifestyle that involves abount 10% of all relationships in this country.

Look at that website it is a college in the mountains where it is really nice in the summer and snows in the winter. Or there is Cal Poly Equine and rodeo team) San Luis Obispo which is on the coast and stays cooler in the summer. Its not like desert all over CA. It snows here. ANyway good luck finding one. Theres lots too choose from even in Montana and such Look at this google site I just typed in equine colleges http://www.google.com/custom?hl=en&safe=active&client =psp-toshiba&cof=FORID%3A1%3BGL%3A1%3BS%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.toshib adirect.com%3BL%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fbase.googlehosted.com%2Fbase_image %3Fq%3Dpsp-image-u0nmbb%26size%3D1%3BLH%3A19%3BLW%3A100%3BLBGC%3A 336699%3BLP%3A1%3BLC%3A%230000ff%3BVLC%3A%23663399%3BGFNT%3A%2300 00ff%3BGIMP%3A%230000ff%3BDIV%3A%23336699%3B&ad=w4&ie=ISO-8859-1& oe=ISO-8859-1&q=Equine+Colleges+&btnG=Search

What process would I have to go through to become a resident of another country?
    Question:
I' am a service member in the US Navy who is planning on moving out of the country when I separate. I have choosen to move out because I' am sick of so many people in this country not showing any appreciation for what the people who defend this country do. I' am sick and tired of the way that Hollywood continues to wipe our society clean of any good morals or values and tells people what's cool and not cool. I' am also sick of the way that this society is so sexed up (especially in Southern California; where I currently live), becoming a place where everyone is in a competition to show the most "skin" and where intellectualism and kindness are looked down upon, while arrogance, shallowness, selfishness, and materialism are exhaulted. In our society, for instance, being an arrogant "badass" who has no respect for woman and cheats on his wife and or girlfriend and is a complete rebel, is ok, but having respect for others and doing some good for the community and the world is "lame." Also, in our society, it seems to be the norm for young women to do things like making out with other girls, and for young men to watch pornographic films. Our society also seems hell bent on making life one big party, sending out the message to many (especially younger people) that getting drunk, and acting stupid is supposedly "living life to the fullest." Because of all of this, my ambition is to move to a country where people still have good morals and values, where I can feel like my service to that country is appreciated and that all of the hardships that I encountered while in that service, are worth it. I want live in a place where I feel that I can be myself (a caring and kind individual) and not have to worry about being looked down upon by my peers for it. I also desire to be in a place that is far from Hollywood's negative influences. Anyway, I' am willing to surrender my citizenship to live in another country (whether it be a place like Spain, Greece, Italy, the UAE, Bahrain, the Azores, Saudi Arabia, Japan, a remote Pacific Island Country, ect.). So besides giving up my citizenship, what else would I have to do?

    Answer:
you would need to take the citizenship test in that country and pass also live there for a certain amount of time

Why is it being said that Obama can't win the Blue or Swing states?
    Question:
He is Clearly doing a better job than Hillary.... Of the Blue states (States the Democrats should win) Hillary has won Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, California, and Rhode Island All by 17% or less Obama has won District of Columbia, Illinois, Connecticut, Maryland, Vermont, Hawaii, and Washington All by 15% or more Of the Swing states (State that can go Reb or Dem) Hillary has won Big with Pennsylvania and Ohio by 10%, and West Virgina by 41% And slim victories in New Hampshire by 3%, New Mexico by 1%, Nevada by 6%, All of which Obama can claim in the general election... Obama has won big with Minnesota by 34%, Colorado by 35%, Virgina by 29%, Louisiana by 21%, Wisconsin by 17% and North Carolina by 14% And a slim victory in Iowa by 9% the media wants you to believe its going to be hard for Obama in the General election. There job is to bend the truth but dont believe them... look the facts up for yourself..

    Answer:
It's wishful thinking. The Republicans tried to tie candidates for the House to Obama (and Rev. Wright) in their ads; yet the GOP has lost all three by-elections. The Republican Party is in serious trouble this fall -- the NRCC is out of money (and has apparently had a fair share of it embezzled by its former chair). The RNC is only able to raise about 1/3 as much as the Democratic Party, and it's tapping out its wealthy donors to the max while the Democrats are reaping tons of micro-donations from people who will be able to contribute again and again. Elections require cash... lots of cash. And the Republicans are having to search under the seats for it. They just lost a House race in their own front yard: Mississippi. Yet somehow we're supposed to believe that all these enthusiastic voters are going to stay home in November when the stakes are highest? Gimme a break.

Homework help! Is this a good speech?
    Question:
The child bolted upright in his bed, awakened by screams, crackling through the thin walls of the house trailer and shattering the blackness of the night. Creeping out of the bed, the boy peered into the next room, where his 300-pound stepfather bent over his mother, bloodying her face with his fist. "Hey what are you guys doing?" cried the startled child, and the man spun and grabbed the 6 year old's hair, bringing a closed fist hard across his face until his cheeks were bloody and the child whimpered and fled. Later, in his bed, the boy would weep. His stepfather was an electrician, and he used whatever tools were on hand to beat his child: wire, screwdrivers, a pipe wrench. The lesson seemed simple: violence solves problems, and the boy learned it well as he grew, fighting, drinking, and disrupting school so often he was finally expelled. Later, as a young man, when he had tamed his rebelliousness and begun to work for the old-time promoter who was his real father, he discovered he could draw on his violent past. In time, he would create a world of fury and mayhem so big and so bad that it made his childhood home look like Disneyland. But this time, there would be a difference: This time, the bad guys would work for him. My thesis is "We may be attracted to wrestling for different reasons. But we greatly agree upon that there's no greater show or sport on the planet due to its entertaning contents." I chose professional wrestling because it's like a soap opera for men. In soaps everything seems really cheesy to make sure you get the point, the same goes wrestling. Some of the moves that the wrestlers pull off are fun to watch and some part of you wants to try them too. So, it's just like any other show, it helps you escape from reality. The purpose of my paper is to persuade people to be fan of wrestling. You might wonder what are the roots of wrestling. Well asking that question is the same as asking, What are the roots of breathing? or What are the roots of eating? It's an imposible question to answer, because as long as there have been living creatures on the planet, there has been wrestling. All you need to do is look at a pair of newborn puppies playing in the dirt; that's a form of wrestling. The cavemen no doubt "wrestled" each other for the best part of the cave or for the food. The rules of the sport weren't established yet, and the physical skills were as raw as it could be. Fans from around the world have different perspectives but we all have something in common. A look at 100 year history of sports like baseball, basketball, or even the automobile, show numerous trends in changes. Because wrestling's roots are both global and regional, its history is subject to different viewpoints. A fan growing up in Lodi, California has different beliefs and preferences than do fans from New York or Japan. But one common thread binds all of us. As wrestling fans, the sport has touched hearts for different reasons. We all came from different walks of life and we all are alike in our desire to witness wrestling's amazing display of athleticism and entertainment. 100 years of professional wrestling. From shoots to works and heroes to villains, all of it is here in a bold and colorful manner, which only the grand industry of professional wrestling would dare to reveal. The rapid pace of change over the past years both in the sport of wrestling and in the growth of technology is unbelievable, but one thing is certain: We're all in agreement that there's no greater show on planet.

    Answer:
I don't think the statement of "my thesis is", bu tthe rest reads wonderfully. It has a lot of description to it and even the violence is palatable. I would like a few more sentences to expand on the roots of wrestling...maybe enlist some of the ideas of wrestling in different cultures...just some thoughts

How do you prevent peeling after a bad burn?
    Question:
Recently this Friday I went to a beach in central California, like most beaches here, it was quite windy and the sun was barely out, I was actually shivering while i was laying down trying to catch some rays... so my friend and I laid on our stomach and relaxed Me, being a quarter Greek and having very olive skin, like usual did not wear any sunscreen, either did my very pale friend. I can say though, i have never been burned, until now! so after about an hour when her mom came to get us, it hurt so much to bend, and looked at the back of her legs and they werecompletley pink, and mine were getting there. An hour after getting it we put lotion on, and about 5 hours later we went to the store and got every aloe vera product possible and reapplyed. its been horrible, i can barely sit or walk up on my own stairs my biggest concern is i just don't want to peel! my legs have finally cooled down, but i have still been putting aloe vera on, because they still hurt how do u prevent peeli

    Answer:
they will peel eventually, when they start to flake, take a cool, long bath (which will soak off the loose bits of skin) and with a face washer, gently rub your legs and get the rest of the skin off. WEAR SUNCREAM NEXT TIME!!!

Thanks letting us know about this. I am glad you are doing this. Go to a http://www.silverj.com/mensformalwear.html they have a lot of formal western wear there. but I think the jeans and western shirt will stand out more and that is what he want you to do stand out. He loves you not what you wear. I am so glad that you have made this decision. I have always liked your style and you always seem to be so level headed. That is what he likes about you. Besides as one country mountain man to another we can be comfortable anywhere with these city sleeker's so don't let them make you feel like you don't belong.
