Questions Possibly Related to Azusa, CaliforniaProvided By Y! Answers
Know of a Kawasaki mechanic near Azusa, California? Question: I need to service my Kawasaki Ninja 500R but don't want to pay the dealer prices. Specifically for brake fluid change, etc. Does anyone know of a good Kawasaki mechanic in the San Gabriel Valley? I am in Azusa, California.
Answer:
Brake fluid change, etc...?
I cannot tell who does nor how to etc, but the DOT4 will set you back around five bucks and some change. You’ll get close to a half dozen brake fluid changes out of this bottle. That will average you about 89 cents per job. Or you're more than welcome to pay Bert $91 per hour to do it for you. What ever you decide, hurry it up. You are going to need those brakes working so I can catch you on the 39! :-)

i need to find out where they can do a colonic in Azusa, California? Question: i have no idea how to locate one.
Answer:
I am not sure how far the following cities are from Azusa..there are therapists in Santa Monica, Glendale, Huntington Beach and Seal beach. I looked on the web under whitepages.com and keyed in "hydrotherapy" under business catagories and got several businesses. The one at the top of the list was "Colon Hydrotherapy" in Santa Monica ph (310) 399-1722. You may try "colon therapy" also. Ask at a local health food store or even a chiropractor. I went to one who didn't seem very professional, as she was conducting personal business on the phone during my session. She evaded my question when I asked her if the machine's water was filtered. So you may have to look/ask around.

How do you become certified to teach, say 7th grade english, in California? What degree to get? Question: I live in Indiana. However, I want to teach in Los Angeles, the more struggling parts. The college I was looking at is Azusa Pacific University. However the degrees and credentials confuse me.
Answer:
It doesn't really matter what degree you get for undergrad. If you're going for a single subject credential, it may be a good idea to major in that subject. For example, if you want to teach english, major in english for undergrad. You can also major in Education or Psychology.
Once you're ready to pursue your credential, you need to enroll in a credentialing program at a university. If you want to teach in California, you need to have a California credential. There are two different levels of the credential. The first is a level one. This is what you get after you finish student teaching through your credential program. After you start teaching, you have a certain number of years (I belive it's either 5 or 7) to "clear" your credential. This means you need to get a level 2 clear credential. This process is done once you begin teaching. You need to get a mentor teacher in your first year, and you need to take a certain number of classes (5 I think) to clear the credential.
California is a very difficult state to be fully credentialed in. Along with all of these steps, you also need to take several standardized tests such as the CBEST, the CSET, and many others.
Good luck!

need to rent apartment but have bad credit!!!? Question: I need to move into a place of my own, have bad credit from previous years, trying to resolve but still can't make payments.although i've been responsiable with current bills and job.any suggestions? i live in azusa california!!!
Answer:
You are going to have some difficult choices. No landlord will accept you into a desirable building if there are other tenants available with better credit. So--
1. You can pick out a place that few other people want. An undesirable neighborhood, or an unnattractive apartmentl; or
2. You can come up with a very large security deposit, more than the normal one month. For example, if somehow you got the cash to pay six months in advance, a landlord might be willing to overlook your credit history; or
3. (Probably your best option) You can try to rent an apartment that is built into a house rather than a regular apartment building. In a house, the landlord may trust his instincts about you rather than run a credit history.
Good luck!!!

Fossil in California? Question: I live in Azusa, Southern California.
I was wondering If there is place where people could collect fossil.
There is one in Amboy, but couldn't find the place.
If there is a place, private or public, what is the direction and what might be the rule.
Answer:
If you take highway 101 to the valley and take Old Topanga Canyon road, you can look for fossils at one turnout in the road. As you reach the ridge, look for a rocks piled on the side of the road in a turnout, almost like there was a rockslide. This is caused by many people who pull the sedimentary rock from the side of the hill. I've found a number of fossils here.
Topanga Canyon, near Los Angeles, contains middle Miocene sandstone and siltstone from the Topanga Canyon Formation, Cold Creek Member. Abundant gastropods and pelecypods -- mostly replaced -- are found, especially best after a rain when the fossils are often washed out of the matrix. Directions: from the Ventura Freeway (in the San Fernando Valley), get off at the Valley Circle/Mulholland Drive exit Turn left onto Valley Circle, cross over the freeway and proceed onto Mulholland Drive. Turn right onto Valmar Avenue -- Valmar becomes Old Topanga Canyon Road. At Mulholland Highway, bear right and prepare to turn left back onto Old Topanga Canyon Road in 1/8 mile. Turn left and proceed up Old Topanga almost a mile, past the point where the road switches back upon itself. From this point until the top of the hill, you will encounter fossiliferous road cuts on your right. The first embankment contains a massive oyster reef.

Where can I get a black shirt with Draco Malfoy on it, from Harry Potter, in California? Question: I would really like a black shirt with Draco's face on it, with the word "Malfoy" underneath his picture. I've seen it on a girl on youtube. I was wondering where I can find one!
I've tried the Hot Topic closet to me, which is in the Westfield Mall. Accordingly, I have several shirts from there.
(Harry Potter, Neville, Ron, 2 Severus Snape, Sirius Black, and the D.A)
Please help me out.
Where can I find one of these Draco shirts in California? Preferably somewhere in Glendora, Azusa, San Dimas, La Verne, Covina or anywere around there.
Thanks a bunch!!
Answer:
Im not sure where you can buy one that is already made up with Draco on it, but here in Australia we have shops where people will make up tshirts for you with whatever you want on it. You buy whatever tshirt you want, from any store, and take it to the shop and tell them what you want. Theyll give you a book to look thru and you show them wot image you want and theyll print it on the shirt.
If it isnt in their book, Im pretty sure theyll be able to find a pic of Draco somewhere and get it made into a transfer that they can print on your shirt--just have a look around and see if they can do it. It shouldnt be too hard, im pretty sure youll be able to get one. hope this helped!

Azusa Pacific versus Biola? Question: So, I am a junior in high school and I am trying to decide whether I should try more for Biola or Azusa Pacific. Both are Christian colleges in the Southern California area. I live literally 5 minutes away from Biola, but I feel like its a prettier, newer school. Then, Azusa is about 45 minutes away-ish and I REALLY want to live off campus which is something I wouldn't be able to do if I went to Biola. Also, Azusa is a little bit cheaper than Biola. Also, My grades have recently suffered because of the passing of my mother about 2 months ago, as well as health problems. So much so that my GPA has dropped to a 3.0.
Will I even have a chance at getting into either of them?
Will they make any exceptions for recent circumstances?
I have been told they will, but I am just very nervous.
Any advice or constructive thoughts would be very encouraging and make me feel better about everything.
Please and thank you.
God Bless.
Answer:
All I can tell you is one of my friends from HS went to Biola. She met her husband there, she loved her freshman dormitory roommate, she got a great education there. My impression of Biola has always been very positive.
Wish I could tell you something about Azusa Pacific... but I can't. Either way I am sure you will make the right decision for you. God Bless and happy holidays.

the cali. schools were okay with this.
Nevada is different , they won't let me inroll. I have shots records , medical records but I was still denied a B.C.
I was born in America and so are both my parents.I was born at home,
Answer:
Were you born at home? Azusa, CA must have a hospital and they are the ones that issue birth certificates. Are you here illegally? If your mom is a US citizen, you might apply for citizenship through her. If you used your mom's ss#, that is illegal. See the immigration dept. See an immigration lawyer.

University choices? Question: I am planning to go to college soon, wanna major in Business Adm, but dont know which university would be better: Azusa Pacific University, California Lutheran, Woodbury, University of the Pacific, Notre Dame de Namur, Holy Names, St. Mary's College of California.
Answer:
I'd say go to community college first, unless you can afford university, particularly a private one like Woodbury (which, incidentally, is right next to where I live). Community college gives you the chance to have an affordable education (only 20 bucks a unit here in LA county), it's a more relaxed environment, and you have a better chance of getting into a better university later. If you still want to go to University, I'd seriously suggest checking them out before applying/accepting. Woodbury is a fine university.. their psychology program is good, I hear (I know you said business Adm., though :o). Try hitting up Myspace, or yahoo answers to talk to the students that attend these colleges or, like I said, talk to the actual students when you go on campus. College is great, unlike high school, hehe. :o) Good luck!

Should I go to a Christian College? Question: I'm having a tough time deciding if I should go to a Christian University. I've gone to a Christian high school for a little while and hated it, but that's because there was a bunch of juvenile delinquents there... My mom says Christian high schools and Christian colleges are not the same, and that Azusa Pacific in California would be different. Has anyone actually gone to Azusa or gone to a Christian or religious affiliated college or university? Are they boring or really uptight? I am a woman of faith, but I don't want my college years to be stiff and boring, like people are judging you if you end up partying every once in a while. Some advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Answer:
Depends, are you planning to be a Christian all your life, and planning to exclusively be around them?
Sometimes a person's education means they venture out into the real world of diversity, and try "normal" schools with more diverse student enrollments.
My son attends a Baptist College in Southwest Missouri. He likes it a lot. I'd rather that he attended a local university, but he had friends that went down there, and he got a small scholarship from his church that helped too.
My daughter attended an Assembly of God college in Dallas, Tx. She liked it, but the school was not accredited, so her degree isn't worth much now. It's hurting her chances for advancement where she now works.
Both, were not allowed to members of opposite sex in their dorm rooms, women and men are segregated in their dorms. If anyone is caught smoking or drinking they will be expelled. Sort of removes all temptation, right?
If you have weak values, stay with the "rules" that help you. If you can serve as a model person, and can resist the "party life", which really isn't conducive to successful study, then you can consider other choices.
Remember that Jesus spent his time among the "sinners", and he said that was his purpose, when disciples asked why.
Not everyone wants that job.
You should consider costs, and location. Travel back and forth could be expensive, if the college is "out of state."
Consider how many times you want to return home, to reconnect with family and friends, in deciding what college you will attend.
Finally, consider what the reputation is of the college, in the area of your major. Not all colleges are equal, when it comes to what employers think. is the best for their field.
