Answer:
The Gov. was there from day one finding out what fire fighters needed and followed up by obtaining whatever it was. He asked the federal government for a state of emergency (from Pres. Bush) and received it. This makes it easier for people who lost homes to rebuild and get low interest rate loans. Arnold also called up National Guardsmen to back up the firemen. Bush also provided aircraft to fight the fires. It was a model in how a state should handle a natural disaster.

I don't understand why there was such a bad reaction. It's a good thing to go to a country and learn the language and one of the ways is to immerse in that language and speak it as much as you can.
He never said the Spanish speaking people should stop speaking Spanish among them in their homes or to their children.
I'm an immigrant and I just don't see what's wrong with what he said. it's a very wise advice. I'm very happy I learned English and I haven't forgotten my language, I still speak it.
Some people just keep thinking all that is said is offensive, when it isn't.
This stupid 'political correctness' is going to kill us!!! That is so dumb!!!!!!

How are you folks in California doing since the fires and is Arnold taking care of you?

I know it is not easy and we wish you the best. We were 200 miles inland and the entire state of Mississippi had it's power out for over three weeks and more in places. Here gusts hit 70-90 miles an hour and blew trees, roofs and much away. So just wondering how things are going. Arnold seems to be on top of it. Take care.

Arnold is a Liberal @ss that has an "R" next to his name. He pals up with our socialist legislature and plans his campaign against Barbara Boxer.
The better not change the constitution about letting naturalized citizens run for president. I'd hate to see him screw up the US like he is with California.

The only thing good Arnold has done is actually work with the Democratic Legislature (which he should have done in the first place) before going against them and spent millions on a "Special Election" where voters were against all of his bond measures.
Phil Angelides did good when he was chairman on the CA Democratic party. He helped elect Diane Finestein and Barbara Boxer, and Bill Clinton to office in 1992 when they said it would never happen.
