Yellow Wood is the best. I go there regularly to read with my daughter before school. It's also a great place for business meetings, and they have free wireless internet connectivity. Their coffee blends are better than any chain, but what's most important, the staff at Yellow Wood is very friendly and well trained.

Cherubini's is the cutest place with its antiques and beautiful draping wisteria on the front porch. The coffee pastries are good and they are adding new menu items all the time. This is the best place in Alamo to relax.

You want good food? You got it! You want a wonderful outdoor atmosphere (in the warmer months)? You got it! You want to get in on Saturday at 10am with no wait? No chance. The food is fabulous, but this place is no secret. Breakfast includes pancakes, waffles, eggs, or the delicious eggs benedict. I highly recommend the crab sandwich for lunch, it's tasty. And for a great time, sit outside and sip down some cold iced tea. They even have toys for the kids.

We ordered take-out using the dinner menu posted on this site, which was outdated. We expected our bill to be $31, but it was $41 so be careful. The #14 Tom Kha Gai soup is excellent. However, the #21 King & I tasted like green bits of dried leather but our dog liked it. The papaya salad was mediocre. Finally, the #35 beef curry was also too dried out/tough. Disappointing from both a value and taste perspective though may return for the soup on a rainy day.

We have dined numerous times since the new owners have taken over. It is just solid, well flavored, wonderful "Italian and Italian American" cuisine. Unlike many restaurants, I have had a great meal every single time I have gone, there are really no "good" or "bad" dishes. You can take anyone there and they will not only be pleased with their food, you will have the experience of fun Italian dining.

good pizza and really good salad bar here. they are a bit pricy but if you want a salad it is worth it. last I remember they had shrimp and everything for your salad. can get crowded especially when children's soccer/ softball is in there but fun.

I had lunch today. The hamburger was OK, neatly served. However, nobody cleaned the tables. Most tables were dirty when I sate down to eat. Forty minutes later when I finished, they were all dirty. The employees just ignored the situation. Very strange.

I was also very dissapointed more with the customer service. There cakes were tasty, but not worth the price. We were asked to wait "somewhere else" until our appointment for our wedding consulation, which we were only 15 minutes early for. Not to mention that they have tables for customers to eat inside. They took about 25 minutes to quote us for one cake. We got a much more delicious cake from Cake Delight in Livermore, cheaper and much friendlier.
