City DescriptionWinchester is a city in Drew County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 191 at the 2000 census.
Winchester is located at 33°46′22″N 91°28′36″W / 33.77278, -91.47667 (33.772854, -91.476597).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1.3 km²), all landresiding in the city. The population density was 383.6 people per square mile (147.5/km²). There were 78 housing units at an average density of 156.7/sq mi (60.2/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 29.32% White, 64.92% Black or African American, 1.05% Native American, 3.66% from other races, and 1.05% from two or more races. 3.66% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 69 households out of which 37.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.6% were married couples living together, 20.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.2% were non-families. 23.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.77 and the average family size was 3.25.
