City DescriptionWeiner is a city in Poinsett County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 760 at the 2000 census. It is included in the Jonesboro, Arkansas Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Weiner is located at 35°37′15″N 90°54′4″W / 35.62083, -90.90111 (35.620713, -90.901107).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.4 square miles (3.6 km²).
As of the census of 2000, there were 760 people, 306 households, and 217 families residing in the city. The population density was 551.4 people per square mile (212.6/km²). There were 337 housing units at an average density of 244.5/sq mi (94.3/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 98.55% White, 0.53% Black or African American, 0.39% Native American and 0.53% Asian. 0.66% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 306 households out of which 33.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.5% were married couples living together, 8.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.8% were non-families. 26.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
