City DescriptionViola is a town in Fulton County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 381 at the 2000 census.
Viola is located at 36°23′50″N 91°59′0″W / 36.39722, -91.98333 (36.397319, -91.983233).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 3.3 km² (1.3 mi²), all land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 381 people, 160 households, and 106 families residing in the town. The population density was 114.0/km² (295.2/mi²). There were 181 housing units at an average density of 54.2/km² (140.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 98.69% White, 0.26% Black or African American, and 1.05% from two or more races. 0.79% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 160 households out of which 29.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.8% were married couples living together, 7.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.8% were non-families. 31.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 18.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.38 and the average family size was 2.97.
