City DescriptionRose Bud is a town in White County, Arkansas, in the United States. Tammy Tipton Bomar is the current mayor. As of the 2000 census, the town population was 429. By area, the town is the second largest municipality in White County, after Searcy.
Rose Bud is located at 35°19′56″N 92°4′45″W / 35.33222, -92.07917 (35.332200, -92.079205).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 15.2 km² (5.9 mi²). 15.2 km² (5.9 mi²) of it is land and 0.17% is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 429 people, 170 households, and 123 families residing in the town. The population density was 28.2/km² (73.1/mi²). There were 187 housing units at an average density of 12.3/km² (31.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 97.67% White, 0.23% Asian, and 2.10% from two or more races.
There were 170 households out of which 29.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.9% were married couples living together, 8.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.1% were non-families. 24.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
