City DescriptionPindall is a town in Searcy County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 95 at the 2000 census. The town is said to be named for Governor Xenophon Overton Pindall. Pindall is the birthplace of country music icon Willie Nelson before moving to Texas with his family when he was 6 years old.
Pindall is located at 36°3′34″N 92°52′16″W / 36.05944, -92.87111 (36.059369, -92.871042).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 7.4 km² (2.9 mi²), all land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 95 people, 36 households, and 30 families residing in the town. The population density was 12.8/km² (33.1/mi²). There were 54 housing units at an average density of 7.3/km² (18.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 97.89% White and 2.11% Native American.
There were 36 households out of which 41.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 69.4% were married couples living together, 8.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 13.9% were non-families. 13.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
