City DescriptionMansfield is a city in Scott and Sebastian counties in the U.S. state of Arkansas. It is part of the Fort Smith Arkansas-Oklahoma Statistical Area. The population was 1,097 at the 2000 census.
Mansfield is located at 35°3′32″N 94°14′47″W / 35.05889, -94.24639 (35.058985, -94.246321).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.2 square miles (5.8 km²), of which, 2.2 square miles (5.7 km²) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km²) of it (0.89%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,097 people, 440 households, and 289 families residing in the city. The population density was 493.2 people per square mile (190.8/km²). There were 505 housing units at an average density of 227.1/sq mi (87.8/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 95.81% White, 0.09% Black or African American, 1.09% Native American, 0.46% Asian, 0.91% from other races, and 1.64% from two or more races. 3.37% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
