City DescriptionLake Hamilton is a census-designated place (CDP) in Garland County, Arkansas, United States. It is part of the 'Hot Springs Metropolitan Statistical Area'. The population was 1,609 at the 2000 census. It is named after Lake Hamilton, one of the area's man-made lakes.
Lake Hamilton is located at 34°25′41″N 93°5′17″W / 34.42806, -93.08806 (34.428101, -93.088035).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.9 square miles (10.1 km²), of which, 2.0 square miles (5.1 km²) of it is land and 1.9 square miles (4.9 km²) of it (49.10%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,609 people, 762 households, and 483 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 814.1 people per square mile (313.8/km²). There were 1,181 housing units at an average density of 597.5/sq mi (230.3/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 95.65% White, 0.87% Black or African American, 0.50% Native American, 1.24% Asian, 0.31% from other races, and 1.43% from two or more races. 2.24% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
