City DescriptionHumphrey is a city in Arkansas and Jefferson counties in the U.S. state of Arkansas. Its population was 806 at the 2000 census. It is included in the 'Pine Bluff Metropolitan Statistical Area'.
Humphrey is located at 34°25′22″N 91°42′22″W / 34.42278, -91.70611 (34.422724, -91.706125).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.4 square miles (3.5 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 806 people, 319 households, and 209 families residing in the city. The population density was 592.3 people per square mile (228.8/km²). There were 365 housing units at an average density of 268.2/sq mi (103.6/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 57.82% White, 40.45% Black or African American, 1.20% Native American, 1.00% from other races, and 1.49% from two or more races. 0.87% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
