City DescriptionHigginson is a town in White County, Arkansas, United States. Randall Homsley is the current mayor, and he was also a volunteer police officer until recently, when the volunteer police force was disbanded (McCosh).
The population was 378 at the 2000 census.
Higginson is located at 35°11′50″N 91°42′44″W / 35.19722, -91.71222 (35.197323, -91.712319).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.8 square miles (2.0 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 378 people, 145 households, and 103 families residing in the town. The population density was 493.6 people per square mile (189.5/km²). There were 165 housing units at an average density of 215.5/sq mi (82.7/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 97.35% White, 0.26% Native American, 0.26% Asian, and 2.12% from two or more races. 1.85% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
