City DescriptionHackett is a city in Sebastian County, Arkansas, United States. It is part of the Fort Smith, Arkansas-Oklahoma Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 694 at the 2000 census.
Hackett is located at 35°11′15″N 94°24′47″W / 35.1875, -94.41306 (35.187391, -94.413090).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.6 square miles (4.2 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 694 people, 277 households, and 193 families residing in the city. The population density was 424.8 people per square mile (164.4/km²). There were 294 housing units at an average density of 179.9/sq mi (69.6/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 95.10% White, 0.43% Black or African American, 2.16% Native American, 1.15% Asian, 0.14% from other races, and 1.01% from two or more races. 0.72% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
