Information on "Y''City Arkansas and surrounding territory and Wilhelmina State park, Arkansas?
Answer:
Y City Arkansas is very small rural community. The highway "Y's" there, thus the name. Sorry to tell you, but the last time I was there there was only one building at the Y, I think an old service station, but I really don't remember. I doubt if it is much different today. There is really nothing much there at all. Here is the website for the park. www.queenwilhelmina.com - . If you want more info, simply google Wilhemina State Park and there are a number of sites with info.

Describe briefly the challenges facing the city of Jonesboro, Arkansas with regard to drinking water quantity? Question: Describe briefly the challenges facing the city of Jonesboro, Arkansas with regard to drinking water quantity and quality.
Answer:
I grew up in AR and went to college with several people from Jonesboro...
A large percentage of the population still uses well water for their drinking and consuming needs. The city supply itself also comes from supply wells, since Jonesboro isn't near a clean and abundant supply of water. Both quality and quantity is an issue here, since well water is limited in quantity and suscepible to contamination. Also, very few of the end users of the water supply are equipped with backflow devices to protect the supply wells...incidental backflow from, say, a car wash could completely contaminate the city's supply with harmful chemicals. The challenge the city has to come up with is proper maintenance of their wells, or money and resources to pipe in water from another supply.

What is the closest big city around northwest Arkansas? Question: There's a 3 day weekend coming up & my family wants to go some where for vacation wheres a good place to go that's close that you could make it there in @ most around 5 hours
Answer:
It's not really a "Big City" but it's still a pretty fun family vacation spot. I'd recommend Branson, Missouri. There aren't really any "Big Cities" within a 5 hour drive of NW Arkansas. Branson is a city that was built entirely around entertainment. There are tons of resorts and hotels and shows and theme parks. It's only 150 miles from the North West corner of Arkansas.
Below is the Yahoo Travel Guide about the city and the Branson City guide of attractions.
If you're looking for more of a "Big City" you're gonna have to travel a bit further than 5 hours to somewhere like Nashville or Atlanta.

how much snow does Arkansas City, KS get every winter?
Answer:
It does vary. From my experience and what science/stats prove is this:
Whenever we have LESS storms during the summer then we will get a pretty good decent snowfall during the winter and of course ice as well. The more active the summer is, then chances are for a "normal" season (approx. a foot of snow). Ice is what you're going to have to worry about especially since it's close to where a lot of the cold fronts meet in the winter (More snow to the North/Rain to the South). More information can be found on weather.com. Since it's close to Wichita then you can pull information about Wichita and get the same information.
