City Description

Willow Valley is a census-designated place (CDP) in Mohave County, Arizona, United States. The population was 585 at the 2000 census. Willow Valley is located at 34°55′6″N 114°36′39″W / 34.91833, -114.61083 (34.918471, -114.610934). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.0 square miles (2.5 km²), all of it land. As of the census of 2000, there were 585 people, 274 households, and 192 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 601.9 people per square mile (232.9/km²). There were 464 housing units at an average density of 477.4/sq mi (184.7/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 93.16% White, 0.17% Black or African American, 1.71% Native American, 0.34% Asian, 1.88% from other races, and 2.74% from two or more races. 6.67% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. There were 274 households out of which 14.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.4% were married couples living together, 7.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.6% were non-families. 24.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
