City DescriptionSummit is a census-designated place (CDP) in Pima County, Arizona, United States. The population was 3,702 at the 2000 census.
Summit is located at 32°3′48″N 110°56′37″W / 32.06333, -110.94361 (32.063213, -110.943549).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 10.1 square miles (26.2 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 3,702 people, 1,144 households, and 871 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 365.8 people per square mile (141.2/km²). There were 1,259 housing units at an average density of 124.4/sq mi (48.0/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 65.88% White, 0.51% Black or African American, 2.22% Native American, 0.14% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 25.96% from other races, and 5.27% from two or more races. 63.45% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 1,144 households out of which 46.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.6% were married couples living together, 13.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.8% were non-families. 18.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or ...
