City DescriptionPrescott Valley is a town in Yavapai County, Arizona, United States. Prescott Valley was the seventh fastest-growing place among all cities and towns in Arizona between 1990 and 2000. According to 2006 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the town is 36,122.
Prescott Valley is located at 34°36′8″N 112°19′19″W / 34.60222, -112.32194 (34.602229, -112.321922).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 31.7 square miles (82.2 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 23,535 people, 8,964 households, and 6,633 families residing in the town. The population density was 742.0 people per square mile (286.5/km²). There were 9,484 housing units at an average density of 299.0/sq mi (115.4/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 91.10% White, 0.48% Black or African American, 0.96% Native American, 0.55% Asian, 0.14% Pacific Islander, 4.59% from other races, and 2.16% from two or more races. 11.12% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
